Yeah, it is a real problem to balance all the variables. I am a Florida native but loved the mountains and Elk. Now at 59 post-heart attack and bypass…..I am much less in love with the winter here in Montana. -20F this week with wind chills much colder. So I am thinking of northern Florida. I looked briefly at Eugene OR but far too liberal in OR. I like TX and have family there but way too hot. Ashville NC is a possibility for temperate and more hilly (we have serious mountains in the Rockies).

A .22 has been used to take down elephants…..with perfect shot placement through the ear canal. Shoot a sasquatch in the eye and penetrate the brain, I would think a 9MM would be lethal……but what are the chances you are going to make that shot, in the dark under extreme stress (you lose fine motor skills like trigger pulling under stress) and on a moving target…….that is getting ready to rip your head off. Good luck.

Better to back out slowly, treat it like a grizzly bear like Wes always says. Holding the pistol as some have said might be enough……firing only as a last resort. In MT bowhunting I carry a S&W 460v with 395gr hard cast lead bullets. I have never pulled it out even though I have seen multiple grizz…..be aware and back out. Though our large “friends” need not to sneak up on you…they want you to know you are in the wrong place. Of course the silent ones are probably hunting you so we have Missing 411……Stay safe out there!

Black wolves? Sure they weren’t hogs? Most wolves are not black, hmmm that is crazy. I lived in Houston in the 80s and did some trips up there…..definitely gave off a super creepy vibe! Nice pics!

I am sure if the globalists had thought of it they would have done it! I think this is more about the fossil Lucy and the idea that we inspire ourselves and even invent ourselves. By the modern Scarlett going back and inspiring the pre-human we in fact invented ourselves. So sure that can also be interpreted as Man usurping the supremacy of God.

Those who say Sasquatch is “fake” are almost always armchair warriors never venturing outside. Take a little time and almost anywhere you are in the US there is a “hotspot” within a couple of hours…….go see for yourself. You might become a “knower” or maybe nothing at all happens but at least you got outdoors and have a better understanding of why Sasquatch can easily make a living.

Steve maybe not Satan but many people grapple with the “what do you think Sasquatch is?” as posed by Wes in every interview. As Gumshoe so well shows in his list, the types of interaction are well beyond the “undiscovered ape/primate/hominid” realm……far too many strange things for this creature to be a normal animal that we just can’t catch up with……even in my own encounter there was a serious wrinkle…as the creature was pacing us out of the woods in Florida, the creature started to converge on us in an intercept course, he was coming and picking up the pace. Then out of nowhere from the opposite direction, a golden retriever appeared and he was smiling. He gave us a couple of body bumps and tail wags and went back the way he came. The creature immediately stopped and headed back the other direction. The immediate thought occurred to me….guardian angel? OK, so if there was a guardian angel then I am assuming Mr. Stinky was not just an ape….Who knows, it was terrifying and weird and yet had the classic elements, some rock-throwing, some stank, paced us out and then it got strange……thus we wonder….what is Sasquatch?

I loved the Dero shows that he did.

I doubt the Sasquatch needs to use a vehicle to help them hunt but makes a lot of sense that some fraction of the deer/elk vehicle collisions is from a Sasquatch hunt. Here in MT, we have lots of wildlife and sometimes the Deer do appear that they are fleeing…not just crossing the road.

Used to live in CT, the Northwest part of the state (Kent, etc.) has had several recent sightings, Western MA also (same watershed) up through Williamstown. Not far from there to Whitehall NY which had a famous series of sightings some time ago. I would think the Appalachian Trail could be productive along with any of the national forest campsites….you kind of have to go explore and see if anybody is home…..though the usual “be careful what you wish for” warnings apply.

Observation is not the traditional habituation which usually involves a food reward which is problematic as the Sasquatches see it as a tribute and then gets upset if/when the gravy train stops. Doesn’t sound like you are doing that and it might be that the troop is getting more comfortable with your presence. Just be cautious and I would always have a clear exit strategy!

Awesome. Are you doing any overnights?

I think lots of “researchers” have gone to “hot spots” in an attempt to bring the “fight” to the Squatch. So far nobody has produced anything that is really all that credible beyond footprints and eyewitness accounts plus some audio. E.g the Sierra sounds came from a hotspot where there was regular interaction. Awesome but not scientifically conclusive which requires a least one “type” specimen or body.

Now bagging a Sasquatch is not a trivial task, though certainly easier than Snipe hunting because the Squatch does, in fact, exist ask the folks in Honobia OK how easy it was……The managed to kill/mortally wound one but the other members of the troop carried it off (in pieces if I recall correctly).

Wes recommends a throat shot vs. a head or chest placement per some military contacts. Good luck but make sure you have a last will and testament in place before engaging.

I could care less about what “science” or the broader public “think” about Sasquatch….They are out there, are reasonably common and a fascinating enigma….Live and let live.

Bigfoot outlaws is a self defeating show concept….the “characters” or Outlaws as they refer to themselves have a limited amount of stories/experiences to share and Bear was simply too obnoxious to do interviews of witnesses…so they ran out of content. Getting Brenda Harris on a couple of times was great and the horse braiding interview with the Florida stable/boarding facility owner was exceptional. Brian “Duke” Sullivan did a great job interviewing her also.

Wes has personally changed how Sasquatch is handled…..his model is self-renewing (there are always new witnesses) and he makes the show about the witnesses experience not about Wes! 5+ years of Sasquatch Chronicles and it is just getting better all the time. We are on a journey with Wes….think about how that simple question “What do you think Sasquatch is?” has evolved…..from the “Damn Dirty Apes we haven’t caught up with” to…..who knows!

Would somebody send deer hair to the FBI? Really? Deer hair is easily recognizable.

I don’t doubt the FBI would report back the sample was “deer hair” whether it was or was not.

Does indicate that the Government has been tracking Sasquatch for a long time……much like UFOs. The government played it down in public but was quite serious in private I would imagine something similar with our hairy hominid.

Here’s a little tidbit…..Grizzly bears have low blood pressure, so even with one or more fatal wounds, it still takes a while for the bear to bleed out…..allowing the bear plenty of time to slice and dice you. A sasquatch most likely is not alone….so even if you were successful in putting down the first one the rest of the troop is going turn you into silly putty. Rethink the problem……situational awareness and not going alone are probably the two key action steps whether it is a grizzly or a sasquatch. Grizzlies maul/kill 2-3 people a year here in MT…almost always a solo bow hunter or two years a park employee who had the misfortune to run into a bear on his mountain bike. So asking about the caliber is not really the best question. Regarding caliber, shot placement is probably more important, Wes says to aim for the base of the throat in the sternal notch….makes sense to me.
