SC EP:839 I Thought I Shot A Man *Rewind*

With my moms passing yesterday I will be playing a rewind from episode 820. One of my favorite witnesses. SC EP:820 I Thought I Shot A Man Spoke to the eyewitness and he said “In 1981 I was in North Louisiana and I came across this creature. He came from around a tree that was about 6 feet from me and we stared at each other.

I wasn’t sure what it was but I could tell by his facial expressions he was mad and working himself up to attack me. I shot it and I know it was a lung shot. I could describe every detail about him. This has weighed on me for the last 40 years, I have only told one person about it. It bothers me that I shot but from the way it was acting I thought it was him or me.”

      I am a new member but long time listener. You wouldn’t believe how much your voice has been not only good entertainment as you introduce and interview each witness but also a source of comfort in the wee hours of the morning when sleep won’t come. You have helped me through 2 knee surgeries and have just become so much a part of my life that I am compelled to thank you and let you know what a great job you do.
      I also want to offer my sympathy in the loss of your mom. It’s never easy to lose a parent no matter how old you are. My heart goes out to you and your family.

        Thank you, Cristina, you put into words how so many of us feel. Since I started listening to Wes, I’ve had 6 surgeries, lost my dad and my house and two of the best dogs ever born. And Wes and the witnesses have brought me a lot of comfort. I hope we can send him back a little bit of that.

    Wes, I know you’ve heard this a billion times already, but sorry about your mom. I don’t even want to imagine how hard that is for you. But you have to look at it like this. She’s one of the lucky ones. She got the hell out of here before the world goes officially crazy and implodes on itself. She’s somewhere way better, waiting on you to join her someday. With all the crazy things I’ve witnessed in my life, unexplainable things, there’s no doubt that you’ll see her again down the line. She may not be here anymore, but she’s somewhere.     My Father suffered 2 Strokes and a Heart Attack New Years Eve of 2011/2012 Which took a lot out of Him.
    For the past 2 years He’s been stuck in a Wheel Chair , or His Chair before the Television. I walked over to check the Fire at my Parents House Dec 16th around 10:30 or so ? I walked in to the Living Room and I asked [ as I always do ] ‘ Hey ! Do you have a Fire going ? ‘ [ And as my Father always answered ] ” I don’t know ? Maybe You can go check it for me ? ” So I went and Loaded up the Wood Stove.
    When I walked back up stairs , and I said in passing ‘ There ya Go ! I gotta get those Girls to bed for School.’ When my Father said
    ” Hey man , I don’t think I am going to be here for Christmass. ” And I pivot on my left Foot as I was reaching for the Door Handle and said ‘ Where do you think Your Going ? ‘ And He repeated Himself with emphasis ” Well , I am not gong to be here. Will You be Happy for me ? ” When I came ALIVE ! And I said ‘ HELL YEAH I WILL BE HAPPY ! BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME I SEE YOU , YOUR’E GOING TO BE AS YOUNG AS I AM !! …. THEN WATCH OUT ! BECAUSE THAT IS WHEN THE PARTY IS GOING TO START ! ‘ And my Father repeated ” I will be as Young as You , Won’t I ? ” there was some minor words said between us , then I went home.
    The next Morning around 11:00 am I walk next door to my Parents House and walked in and asked ‘ Hey , You got a Fire Going ? ‘
    But my Father sat in His Chair , as if He was asleep. So I walked downstairs and cleaned out the Wood Stove and loaded it back up for the Day. I walked up stairs , and My Father hasn’t been out of that chair in the past 2 years , and most of the tine He was awake by now ? So I reached down and touched His Knee and said ‘ Hey Man ‘ But he was already Cold & Stiff.
    My Father was 79 years old. And lead a good Life. I can only Hope I can live that long.
    Don’t Worry Wess ! You will see Your Mother again , and You will be Surprised when you do.

      We have had alot of losses family wise as well and we watch alot of – NDE stories of Heaven , told by those who had been there. Randy Kay= youtube channel has good ones.

    I totally understand the rewind. 34 years ago, when my mom passed, I couldn’t even be around women her age without crying. And when my husband passed, forget about it. And then I found something that could take my mind off my loss even if just for an hour. Your podcast has been such a blessing, and I just want you to know you have to take the time to heal.     Very sorry to hear about your mother Wes, my prayers are with you. It will feel as if nothing will ever be the same but it will get better in time. When I lost my mother I was 20, much older now, what helped me through it was continuing to speak to her. We are all energy and she is still with you but in a different form my friend.

    I remember reading comments after hearing this story the first time and there were several people who pretty much accused this man of being a murderer. That and being irresponsible with a gun and a few other insulting comments. Why are some human beings always so ready to side with the unknown and write off their own species? All we have are people’s assumptions at this point!
    Many people have killed other human beings because they felt threatened and were let off by juries and judges. Self defense. No one can say what this creature would have done to this man since the creatures have never seriously been scientifically studied by anyone…that we know of. This man and the monster were the only ones there at the time. People shoot dogs and are not even ticketed. (I think that they should be put in jail but no one asked me). Dogs also have human DNA yet no one makes them a protected species. Millions are killed in county facilities every year. Just about every mammal out there has some of what is called “human DNA” but that does not make them human! It just means that their physical makeup has some of the same components.
    A Chimpanzee is not a human and neither is an ape. They can be trained after years of working with them to do human like things but they are not and never will be human.
    The people out there who believe that these Sasquatch creatures are the “gentle forest giant” need to sit and think about how they exist. They catch and not so kindly kill other animals, mainly deer, rip them apart with their bare hands and eat them! They also rip trees apart and either just throw them or shove them upside down into the ground. Neither one of these things are exactly environmentally friendly. These creatures do not care if a doe is pregnant or has a young one to care for. It is simply food to them.
    Yes, there are some bad people in this world but the majority of people just want to live their lives in peace. It is always the wealthy of the world who gain control, incite hatred and begin wars for their own financial benefit. Don’t hate on humanity and side with monsters just because some people have messed things up. Let’s learn to get along with the majority of our own species before we go bowing to a species that we have no idea where they came from or what they are up to. They are not here to save the planet just as the “aliens” are not. They have had plenty of time to do so if that was their desire.

    Wess, I’m sorry for you losing your mom. My mom passed in1216 and I just went away for a few days. I was there in body, but not in mind.
    I know you were close with your mom and whenever I say her comments they made me smile. She was witty and engaging and a downright nice person in a way that few people are now.
    Your mom will be missed. Not just by your greiving family, but by myself and all of the folks on here who looked with anticipation for her insightful comments that had wisdom and showed a great pride in you and love for you.
    Try to sleep for a couple a days. It’ll do you good and you can’t not take care of yourself. Be safe
