SC EP:1139 How do you know you were ever really there

I am not sure how to write this one up. Spoke to the witness and before we started the interview he said “I have the creepiest paranormal encounter you have probably ever heard….30 min later I said “You were right, that was the creepiest thing I have ever heard.”

a listener writes “Hello Wes, I have listened to your show for a couple years now and was curious if you are still doing them. I have had some very strange encounters starting when I was a Senior in High School in 1989. I am now in Western North Carolina and after 4 years of a quiet life, I am now having encounters with creatures in the Smoky Mountains and my home here that sits atop a Mountain just outside the Cherokee Indian Reservation.

I would love to discuss some of these events with you and possibly share some of my stories on your show if possible. Please let me know if you are interested. I do have some pics and Audio of some of my encounters as well.”

    his story in South Dakota game me chills. my brother used to co manage a group of cabins in wall drug South Dakota. I went to help him with some work around the property and stayed overnight in one of the cabins I had my dog with me and we experienced scariest paranormal night of our lives and even into the morning

      The old lady was definitely a Skinwalker. And I believe somehow, Drew has gotten a demonic attachment which had caused the Chicago encounter 🤔 I’m no expert and could easily be wrong but from the many hours of paranormal shows I’ve watched over the years, I I think it could be a possibility

      Wes needs to follow up on this one. It was all so fantastic. And I chose that word because it seems a.bit much. Next up…aliens? The vibe was of a storyteller. The other question I had is what is his profession?

    Wow….freaky stuff going on! Maybe it was a parallel dimension with the house in one and not the other????? Why would she call anyone if there was nothing there? How does anyone explain the pictures?

    I’m wondering if the old woman in South Dakota that may have been a skin walker had anything to do with what happened to him in Chicago. Perhaps because he came into contact with that realm back in 1989, it made him susceptible.

      I grew up around Watts Bar Lake and Melton Hill…beautiful places. My home backed up to Government property and we did hear things and got creeped out from the woods… didn’t spend time out there at night at all.

    The first picture into the woods, looks immediately like a doorway. From other shows (The Dead Files) Amy Allan talked about doorways between trees in the woods. …it even kinda has a “X” through it… . I’m very worried for his dog and would not leave the dog on a line ever there or alone. …Western Carolina experienced horrific flooding and the burn pits, perhaps all that has sent these creatures into new areas or made them more agitated over territory.
    May God bless him and protect him and I hope he does pray. his stories are very creepy, ….one time one SC show, a few years ago someone had talked about using sulfur as a deterrent for Bigfoot, but had to be reapplied after rains. Smokies have stories… Boogers are in them woods, don’t mess around at night or alone. Don’t you dare whistle. Stay safe! Great night Thanks Wes!

    Great show! Thanks Wes and thanks Drew! That definitely was a freaky show! I fell asleep listening to it last night. What the hell is going on in the world? My faith says end times when it’s says it would be like the days of Noah. Is this what was going on back then?
    I’ve had sasquatch and paranormal experiences. I grew up in an extremely haunted house, and the house I live in now is haunted. There is definitely more to this world then what science can explain. Thanks guys! God bless!

    This was fascinating as I am very familiar with the area in which it occurred and I’ve been close to there many times!

    Not that I don’t love all the episodes, but get SO excited when I hear stories occurring in places with which I’m very familiar! I haven’t heard a lot of episodes on the show or accounts in general that occur in WNC or upstate SC so if I’ve missed them, someone please give episode numbers!

    I was born and raised, as well as both sides of my family going back to the beginning of settlement, in Western North Carolina. We’ve lived in flat rock/Hendersonville, Asheville, Spruce Pine, and Burnsville as a kid.
    Since my parents were divorced, and my dad moved 5 hrs away, he would often drive to WNC on his weekends with me and we’d go to his sister’s in upstate SC… I can’t remember the episode number, (though it’s one of my favorites), but I believe the gentleman inherited his families’ home and land near the gas station close to Pumpkin Town, SC … There was a part towards the end of the episode where a road crew was working and thought some prankster in a gorilla suit was throwing rocks at them and they watched it run behind the gentleman‘s house. They immediately confronted the gentleman at his home, but quickly realized he’d been cooking and that it wasn’t him…Maybe that rang some bells with somebody!
    Long story long, it was incredible to hear that episode as I’m quite familiar with “pumpkin town”, which if you blink, you’ll miss! So many times we drove right past the area where his experiences occurred. same with the end of this episode.

    I now live in upstate SC off highway 11 not far from there or Table Rock state park but my mom still lives in WNC. We have 6 acres and have a 900 acre hunting preserve behind us. I’ve seen some things, including a possible footprint, I documented on the hunting preserve, but haven’t really ever investigated. I never hear accounts in this area, but I know there have to be!

    @ Stacey C – I’m so sorry for the loss of your precious fur family member…we have another Australian Shepherd mix now, but we lost one about 10 years ago to something that could’ve been prevented. It’s SO hard to lose animals with whom you have such a powerful connection

    What I’m wondering is how and why did the discovery find you? What made them decide you were the person to go to for the paranormal? It doesn’t sound like you have experience in this field. Just trying to figure out why the demon chose you. There has to be a reason. It doesn’t sound like ur job, I’m guessing you work with Casinos.
    The Sasquatch around you sound like possible violence coming ahead. However if they wanted to hurt you, they’d have done it already. Their laughing is normal, they love to play tricks, they’ve got a wicked sense of humor. I think it got a kick out of being invisible and close to you without you being able to see it. Stuff like this happens near Indian Reaervations.

    I’m curious if nothing ultimately happened with the old woman/skin walker because this guy was with his dad? I would imagine it would be much more difficult to target two people instead of just one if the entity had nefarious purposes in mind. There was a young boy instead of just an adult male to target and draw into the woods. Maybe the entity saw only the father initially when they checked into the hotel and didn’t realize the son was also there. Or perhaps there are some sort of “rules” against tormenting children? Granted, he was a teenager and not a “child”, but maybe since he wasn’t an adult yet, he was off limits? Regardless, it’s definitely a creepy story and I believe him.

    I just got done listening to this episode, late to the game as always. Listened on my way home from work. Then I had to go out in the dark to feed my chickens, alone. Yikes, too scary. I did not want to go out in the dark.
    And the old lady story, that flashed me back to the movie LEGION, the scene where the old lady that turned demonic in the diner and then climbed the wall like a spider. Whoever said little old ladies are harmless did not watch the movie LEGION. Great show, I think…

    This episode was so cool.
    Reminds me of Daryl Hannah who as a young child in Jamaica had visited a home repeatedly as a young child. The homeowner nurtured Daryl and allowed Daryl to work in her garden. When Daryl finally told her mom where she was going every day and showed her mom, the house was gone. Daryl insisted the home has been there and this is where she goes to play and told her mom about all the plants and spices, she was planting. So the next day Daryl goes by herself to the ghost home again and the home is there with the woman and garden everything. Strange. Cannot remember where I saw this with Daryl but very cool story.

    pictures of the house please? Also, can anyone tell me if it’s normal for prints to just pulverize dead leaves? it seems odd there is dead foliage/brush perfectly outlining the prints in the pictures above right? you’d thinkn that the prints would if anything just push the trampled underbrush into the ground but not vanish them and reveal pure dirt/soil???

    Hi Drew,
    Your encounters with the unknown are wild!
    I personally believe your true stories.
    Where you live, that’s a hot spot of paranormal/ sasquatch activity, in my opinion.
    I think you are naturally in-tune with the paranormal realm.
    That also helps with communication with sasquatch and the unknown world we live in.
    Maybe, think about inviting Wes Germer to your area?
    It sure wouldn’t hurt 🙂
