I apologize for having the show up a little late, had some technical issues with the player.
Very interesting encounter tonight, I spoke with the witness and his impression of the creature was it was trying to warn him to go away because something was coming down the hill. He could hear something large and breaking branches on the hill at the time he ran into the creature.
A listener writes “It was very early in the morning, maybe 1 or 2 am, day 3 of a five day backpacking trip, and I got out of my tent to relieve myself. I walked ten or 15 feet to go behind a tree, when I felt dizzy and had a strange urge to walk up the hill from our campsite. I had walked maybe a hundred yards or so up the trail, when I saw something squatted down in the trail about fifty feet from me.
It had one fist on the ground and was looking at me intently. I noticed then, that even squatted down, it was as tall as I was (5 foot 8 ). It was at this point I realized I wasn’t looking at a person, but I felt frozen to the spot and didn’t want to make a run for it. We stayed this way for a few seconds, then I heard something big crashing down the slope towards us.
The creature looked in that direction, looked back at me, made some sort of a grunt/guttural yell at me. When it yelled, it felt like it was telling me, get the hell out of here, something bad’s coming down that hillside. It stood up and loped down the trail away from me, and I made my run for it to the campsite. I sat by the fire with my hunting knife in my hand, jumping at the slightest noise, till morning. The next two days of the hike I didn’t say a word to anyone, and I’ve only told my longtime girlfriend and one good buddy about it since. Wes, what do you think it was i saw? What do you think was coming down the hill? Do you think I was in danger?”
My second guest was out for hike with his kids and he heard wood knocks around him and his kids. Several times he called out to whoever was making the noises but did not get a reply. Being ex-military he said that it appeared to be an L-pattern trap and whatever was making these noises were closing on his position really fast, too fast to by human. He said several weeks later he was in the area and it had snowed and he found these large footprints in the snow all in a straight line. He said a lot of strange things happen in this area and shares with the us everything that has been going on.

This was an awesome encounter.

BTW, I don’t care what place I’m in because I’m an adult.

LOL… I love the banter……
BrokenMind27
I’m an adult to but I also have a sense of humor. Lighten up.
Jacqueline O
Martin, there is nothing wrong with having a bit of fun and a sense of humor!
Psychologists today have recently discovered that adults who embrace their “inner child” and partake in playtime similar to that of children are often times more physically and emotionally balanced and have less anxiety and depression, as it also relieves stress, boosts creativity, improves brain function and relationships with other people.
As a result of our modern, busy daily lives and our culture’s stigma on playtime, (play is for children, therefore playing is childishness), people are more likely to be unhappy, less imaginative, have reduced intellectual understanding and critical thinking, socially challenged, more sedentary, overly controlling, and exhibit poor health in general.
Does this sound familiar?
erin f
omg, be quiet for a change… you cause half the crap around here…
Jacqueline O
Really? I didn’t know I possessed that much power…I’ll take that as a compliment!
Lou V
Jacqueline doesn’t cause issues she simply sticks up for people cause she has a good heart
DrAaron
Atta girl! Giddy up!
Jacqueline O
Thank you Lou and Dr.Aaron! I do have a big heart, and it’s frustrating when I come across the trolls or bitter commenters. Yet, at the same time, I’m sure if someone selectively singled out Martin or Erin in a very rude, nasty, and disrepectful manner, I would come to their defense as well.
Chris T
A while back you had an episode with a researcher talking about mountain Giants, they made Sasquatch seem small. Maybe that’s what was hauling ass down the mountain!?
David D
Thanks’ Martin. I appreciate that more than you can possibly understand!!

Cool intro music, Bee-Gee’s Saturday Night Fever?

The first one was scary! What made him walk up there, to begin with? I guess it’s better we don’t know what was coming down the hill behind the bf, and he’s lucky he got away. The second one being more benign, was so interesting though because of the “L” formation he told about. Wow. That is crazy isn’t it? Good ones Wes. Appreciate it.

Thank you Wes, great show

Loved this one

Wes, it really sounds like Nathan’s booger set his intent & used a compelling pressure to draw in( used to be how I always got all the free drinks 😉 ). Must have been pretty powerful if Big Daddy/Mommy picked up on the frequency & came rolling down the hill ready to open up a big ol’ can of whoop ass on the shenanigans. Fantastic share, Nathan!
Good shares, Eric!

Pit bulls’! I knew there was another reason I liked Wes. This encounter hit it out of the park! Brave young guy, for going back out. I do wonder though, if the one on the trail, was in a way, trying to get the guy to relax a bit. Or, perhaps, maybe this guy lets’ his guard down a bit the next time he goes into the wild places. Cool story, though, anyway you slice it. This encounter reminds me a little of the one where the little boy wonders away from camp,(safety of his parents and friend), gets lost; ends up getting escorted back to safety by a female Bigfoot. It’s fascinating stuff, either way. Take care, little brother. Don’t flinch, if you can help it. If you ever run into the one you encountered on the trail, again, bring him a basket of fruit, jerky, and maybe a bunch of sweets. He may just appreciate it. Not the one on the hillside, though! Blessings’, David. The second report was very cool, also. One of this countries’ best-bravest-and brightest!! Too bad he didn’t have some artillery. It sounds like they might have been after his kids. D@mn dirty critters!! Oh yea, what ever kind of coffee he’s drinking, I need some. (HA).

The first story is about 45 minutes from me. l always thought they would be in that area. Great show!
Robert F
Wes ?, I was unclear if the grunt was directed right at the guy on the path, could the beast have signalled a different nearby Sasquatch , seeming like a get the hell outta here, but just to another Sasquatch in near line of fire to the poor guy. So multiple ones could avoid scolding of Alpha coming….. thanks, Awesome encounters…..Robert from Clearwater FL.

Love The Multiple Guest Shows!

Hey I made it on here!!! Hahahahaha ? My story was the second one… I just don’t know if I’ll listen to me because I hate how I sound when recorded. Hahaha! Oh and the person who mentioned I should’ve gone out with artillery… I do now. I take my M1A/M-14 but I’m looking at getting a Beowulf style 50 call AR-15. Also please note it is not for killing one of these big “guys” but more for my own self defense and preservation. I don’t hunt, I just like to shoot. Rules of engagement were drilled into me where you do not fire until fired upon… that’s how I will continue to be. Thanks for the comments on my run-ins and the evidence I have found. Very very squatchy here in WNY! I wonder if I ever start to habituate them if they’d like pizza and wings????? ? Hahahahaha ? just kidding!
Renee H
Erik B, I always thought this area, Steuben , Livingston and Monroe county was pretty much Squatch free, Cuba NY isn’t to far from me. Now two people have been interviewed. BFRO reports are limited. Thanks for sharing your story.
Jacqueline O
Thanks for sharing your encounter Erik…you did a fantastic job! I really enjoyed listening to the finite details and specifics of the account. If you ever have any more stories please feel free to share them, as you seem like a very pleasant, genuine, intelligent, and well spoken man.
Charles R
I have skied in that area a couple times. Just a beautiful place, most of NY is. Do not kid about the habituation. Give it a try, they will not hurt you and may take a keen interest in you for a while. I know I have a friend in Texas that has been on this show and has been doing this for almost 4 years. It is not unusual for them to take up residence in a rural forested area for a while. To me a common connection with this has been they area bringing up young ones and for some reason just feel safer in an area such as yours. I know my Texas friend had set up cameras and actually got some decent ( for a sasquatch) photos of a mother nursing a young one while sitting down. Several others show another crawling up to melons he would leave out for them. Now these photos are not good enough to prove what both he and I and others see as it was dusk but one can make out the activity I suggest. Embrace the situation you have and take care. I sure enjoyed it.\

1st)) excellent show and topic))
I am an Adult also but every once in a while my GI Joes and i go on a Squatch watch with the same results the Joes get their plastic Asses kicked and handed to them ((((Caution Play has and in huge way does mock Life as it truly is!!!) when it concerns Saquatch encounters think fast react wisely dont ever run and trigger a possible predator mode with animals that you dont there habits.
If you shoot you better be 100% on target if you miss it would be like shooting a gorilla sized dude that you just pissed off with a BB gun do I need to explain what the result may be?!!
(((Squatch Watching in Central VA near the foot hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains Since 1971)))
Erik B
Oh I can only imagine what the result would be if I missed. Then you also have to worry about where the others are going to try and flank you iF your did make contact. That’s why I’d be out there with the biggest round I could get my hands on.
It was pretty scary being out there with the three kids and realizing what was around us. I’m just glad I was within a few yards of my aunt and uncle’s house for a quick retreat.

Native Americans say that this Feral People ( Because GOD said they are a separate Manor of People ) Can Hypnotize you ? That they have This Ability . I assumed they was in Meaning of this ” Infrasound ” thing ? Maybe they meant another Aspect of these Creatures ?
Who is to Say for Certain ?
Michael T
I think the term for the dog man you were looking for is Nashoba Chitto. It’s Choctaw. If someone mentioned it before me I apologize, I did a quick scan and didn’t see it.
Jon K
A lot of stuff going on on the Virginia-Tennessee border!
Kenneth M
OMG! Snow tracks in front of a house in Buffalo NY. It must have been a squatch.
Erik B
When the stride is 72 inches between each track… what else would it be? Also it was in East Amherst just south of the Niagara County border. Tonawanda Creek is right behind this house too…
Janice P
I’m catching up listening to past episodes and one detail about the first story was that the hair was described as wirey and also no skin was seen beneath. Of course it was dark but he seemed certain.
Laura K
If I heard him correctly he was in Roan Mountain, TN, which is 15 mins from where I live in NC. Then he said he was on the TN/VA border? Just curious if anyone could clarify. Had my own experiences as a kid about 30 mins or less from Roan Mtn, in Elizabethton, TN…and Wes, that lady with her Mother in Law and the grizzly sow & cubs MIGHT have been hoping to get rid of her MIL….just saying??
Dan A
Nice Show Wes! All the way from Shelby and Dan up North on Vancouver Island, in B.C Canada
Curtis G
Wes, yes! We need more shows if possible. You are my sustenance here in Tokyo!
Robert E
I wonder if the Bigfoot dropped out of a tree onto the back of the H1 as a warning or territorial posture. Sounds like by the speed at which it disappeared into the wood line that whatever did that was probably hauling ass then went stealth in a matter of seconds. It was more than likely watching you and keeping close tabs. I would imagine that whatever landed on the H1 was probably not far and checking you guys out. That would have freaked me out. The oy other possible answer would be the suspension dropping from the inside, possibly an accidental engagement of the rear suspension. However if you guys heard and felt a thug hitting the back that would be enough for me.
Robert E
Love the pics that go along with the episodes. Where do get these? I think they’re kind of cool looking.
Steve R
Wes – I’m curious to know if the second creature your first guest spoke of could have been a Dogman. I don’t know if you’ve spoken to anyone who has had a simultaneous encounter, but the way your guest describes the Squatch it’s almost as if it were hunting – or hiding itself in that crouched position. I have heard it said that Dogmen are believed to be very primal, violent creatures, while the Squatch is usually considered a sentient creature that uses agression to defend it’s territory or itself when provoked. If this was a second Squatch approaching through the trees, you might think there would be less tension expressed by the crouching Squatch. Perhaps two Squatches in a schoolyard brawl and your guest was being cautioned away so as not to be drawn into the conflict? What I do find interesting is how your guest felt drawn or pulled into this encounter. Could this second creature have been hunting and luring your guest into the woods with a type of telepathy? Was the Swuatch warning of a trap or ambush? Lots of possibilities here and the most intriguing encounter I’ve heard in a while. Sheds a new light on our understanding to date. Great show! Thx…

What would a Sasquatch be afraid of? Dogman??

215 down, 530 ish to go. Great show Wes.

I think you’re mistaken about the L shaped ambush cause everything seems to point to these beings being the perfect ambush predator. And they would not survive long if they were constantly giving away their position by knocking on trees to let you know they were there
L S
I wonder why These things keep messing with people? Like with the humV, it’s like they are tempting being seen.
Jeff K
Virginia/Tennessee border, eh. I wonder which county?
Philip M
Guy was 5’8″, and the creature in front of him was twice his height, approximately. That is insane. I can’t help but wonder, was the one coming through the trees even larger? Can you imagine?
Kenneth M
