SC EP:1087 The Creature Waved At Me

Sean writes “Originally I wrote this a few years back when I first started listening to your show after my brother introduced it to me. Though I decided what I encountered at the time wasn’t big foot cause it didn’t really match my understanding of Bigfoot was, so I chalked it up to a weird encounter.

More recently I’ve come across episodes talking about Sasquatch throwing rocks and mimicking people speaking that made me reconsider. My strange encounter was brief but memorable, I was working on a campsite in a valley back behind my moms house, this is a suburb next to a protected forest but like the very tip of it.

I spent a week down there building a proper fire pit, occasionally I’d see the odd hiker come by and I’d wave hello or they would be on there way. Well this time I saw someone walk out the path I’d usually see the hikers come out and I noticed they were fairly tall, and wearing a fur coat and then a puff jacket around their waist. My first thought was “well someone doesn’t get out to the woods much” since they were wearing a black fur dress coat.

They stopped in the middle of the path waved at me and said “hello” Expect they sounded tone def when they said “hello”.

I stood up and waved and said hello, when I first stood up they slightly ducked as if I startled them which I thought was strange. They said hello again and continued to wave which at this point I was thinking they weren’t all there. They smiled and it honestly creeped me out. They had an extremely wide smile.

I watched them curiously as I kneeled back down to make it looked like I was working and grabbed my hammer. They then ducked behind a tree and kept popping there head out as if they were playing peakaboo with me. At this point I thought they were a druggy because of the behaviour. They walked behind some fallen trees and brush and it looked like they climbed up into a tree and continued this peekaboo game. I no longer saw them then later a rock hit the other side of the valley, my first thought was some kids threw it down from above I looked and saw nothing.

Then I saw another one and saw where it came from it was from this brush about 70-80 yards away. Where I saw the person walk off.

This second rock was about 10 feet short of me which freaked me out then I saw this person those the rock and this time it landed right next to me. I bolted and run up the valley through someone’s backyard straight home.

When I went back a week later with my partner at the time we checked out that area I saw the person and there was nothing to stand on I pointed out where there head would have been and it had be close to 8-9ft.

Using me as a reference I’m 6ft flat and I put my arms up and it still didn’t reach where I saw their head. I’m thinking maybe I did see a teenager Sasquatch and it was screwing with me. I’m not really looking to be on an episode I’ll leave that up to you but I’d like to hear what you think.”

Then we will wrap up with Myles from New Mexico. He had a encounter in New Mexico while camping with friends. A lot of strange things happened during this trip but the following night terrified the group and they left immediately when the sun came up.

      It’s actually more believable that he ran across a juvenile Sasquatch, than an 8 ft tall autistic and/or deaf person wearing a full-body fur jumpsuit lol. I mean seriously. Occam’s razor.

    I don’t think that was a person. If it were a person, why would they leave their puff jacket laying in the woods. Sounds like a juvenile Bigfoot who found somebody’s coat somewhere, and later discarded it behind the tree. Definitely not the first time I’ve heard of them having articles of clothing. There’s that one show where that lady tied her scarf on the tree as a directional marker, and then a few weeks or months later she came back and saw a Bigfoot with her scarf in its hands. I mean why wouldn’t they? They are physiologically similar to humans and they see us wearing clothes all the time. I’m sure it would be a point of curiosity to them.

    I’ve listened to every episode of SC, and not once did I ever hear Wes sound drunk or tipsy…

    That one guy Bingo tho, from earlier shows, I cant say the same about him!

    I am curious if the first guest, Sean, is on this chat? I grew up in Dundas and live nearby [in fact, my grandfather’s construction company built most of those post-war homes Sean mentioned]. I’d be interested to know exactly where this encounter happened. I am assuming out near Pleasant Valley and the Old Ancaster Road?

    Re: email from people, I’d like to tell them to mind their own damn business. However, not you, it’s just not your style.

    I have never heard you slur your speech or sound drunk. Ever. As a matter of fact, you’re pretty consistent with your interviewing style, always modulated, always attentive.

    Anyway, I know you weren’t looking for compliments. Just wanted to tell you we’re sorry you’ve had so much pain and trouble.

    Happily, now you have it figured out.

    Charlie Raymond of the Kentucky BRO at a lecture I attended talked off a Kentucky Bigfoot that have waived at a few folks and obtained the nickname of My. Howdy. As for wearing cloths, Wes, you are a wealth of info on ones I have not heard or forgotten. However, in the book “50 years with Bigfoot” Janice Carter related a story about the male Bigfoot on the property for appx 50 years, in which he ,Fox and his wife Sheeba, were fed by the property owner Robert Carter SR almost every day. Robert Carter was a very large man would wear the largest white undershirt available. He gave one to Fox and Fox wore this for at least a couple of years until it was shreds and was very proud of it. So it stands to reason that if a clothing article could fit, then yes, some would put them on. Very nice interaction Sean, your a lucky man.

    These two encounters are my new favorites.
    On one hand you get the almost casual.observer who has a slow surprising revelation ending in a fearful experience, and with the other you have a terrifying incident which starts out so innocently. That being said, they have that in common and maybe they all start and end that way. It’s really weird. I’ve got a lot more studying to do but I’m leaning towards the nephalim giant camp again because they are ancient, manlike, part spiritual entity, and why they are covered with hair is beyond me unless there is another in the mix.     The first encounter is almost humorous if you think about a Sasquatch just watching all these hikers wave and say hi to one another with a lot of ladies-myself included-usually tying their jacket around their waist and just wanting to be included so it steals someone’s jacket off a nearby clothes line hahaha

    I grew up playing in the woods Sean is describing! This is the area af the very very tip of Lake Ontario and is FULL of very well fed white tail deer.
