SC EP:975 Moose And The Sasquatch

Moose writes “When I was around 9 or 10 years old, back in 1989 – 1990 in Jackson Wyoming where I was born and raised. I had a friend who lived down the street from me who got a horse for his birthday. So, I saddled up my horse and we hit the trail.

Back then kids like us could take off for a few days before anyone started worrying. I think I remember that we rode those poor horses all over that country for 3 days. The second and third day we went way up Cache Creek Canyon to see how far we could make it and we got to a little spring where a tree had fallen across the trail and we realized our horses could jump over it so we must have ran them back and forth over that dam thing for an hour until the horses were all lathered up so we decided to unsaddle and let them cool off and we all drank from that spring.

I remember clearly that my horse had his ears pinned forward and would give a little snort now and again, clearly concerned about something off in the timber, but I couldn’t see anything. Then I smelled something awful, a rotting flesh mixed with a wet dog smell. The first thing that came to my mind was it must be a dead elk because that canyon is a migration route for elk in the fall and spring so I told my buddy that I was going to go check it out to see if I could acquire some ivory. So, I went up to the base of this cliff that was about 60, maybe 70 foot tall and trees blocked the area between where my friend and the horses were and myself. As I was scanning the area I looked over to my right and this giant black man walked around the base of the cliff.

The evening sun was behind me and the way the shadow played off the base of the cliff I could only see the top half of this man. Now, normally that would be cause for concern I suppose but, in my mind, it was another mountain man who decided to quit civilization and live off the land like in the old days. I had been with my dad and grandpa when we had met other men who would come down to stock up on supplies and then head right back up into the mountains, so I really just thought he was one of them. Yes, he was huge! But again, I was an ignorant little country boy who up to that point never met a black person before and the only thing I did know was what I saw on TV when we would watch the Packers play and I genuinely thought that black folks were bigger and usually better at sports then other folks and I was fascinated by the situation I found myself in and I wanted to meet this guy! LOL.

The man was enormous, with long dreaded black hair and fairly long beard that was silver up the middle of it. He was bald on the very top of his head and I remember that it looked raw or something because he had a big scar running the length of the top of his head and I remember thinking, man that looks like it must have hurt. Another thing I noticed was his head was fairly pointed as well. He was wearing what I thought was a black bear skin coat because it was pitch black hair covering his upper body, but I could see his massive shoulder muscles and biceps moving under the hair. He raised one arm and grabbed a little ledge of the cliff and kind of leaned into it and at that point I realized it wasn’t a jacket he was wearing but in fact it was his own hair that thinned around the armpit and along his sternum and under his pecks.

Now like I said I was fascinated and had no feelings of being threatened and I wanted to ask this guy a bunch of questions, so I raised my hand and waved and said “howdy” I’ll never forget the look he gave me; it was a look of annoyance. I knew the look well because I was an annoying kid back then. Then I asked, “what yuh doin?” still he did not respond and seamed like was more concerned about something else up the ridge because he would look up the ridge and study it for a bit then back at me and at one point he made a low growl, like I was in the way or something. I don’t remember how long the encounter lasted but it seemed to be a couple minutes maybe a little more. I do remember hearing some kind of whoop from off in the distance and he replied by making a sound with his tongue that sounded like a wood nock that we see in almost every bigfoot investigation these days. I had another buddy who could snap his tongue to the roof of his mouth, and it would make the same noise and he could make it really load but this guy’s was way more loud, at least that’s what I think happened.

Then my buddy called out to me, and he snapped his head over and so did I and when I looked back at him he just pulled himself up the cliff and grabbed another ledge with his other hand and repeated it like 2 more times until he was at the top and disappeared from view. I yelled to my friend “did you see him?!” and as he walked up to me, he asked “who was that?” Later on I tried talking about it with him and he claimed he didn’t actually see anything or anyone. I was sure he saw him though.

Anyhow, a couple years later we were taking a pack trip up to a place called Turquoise Lake and I remember I was 12 because that spring my cousin and I were taught how to train our first colts and we rode them on that pack trip. We got up to a covert that crossed the road that had holes in the top and our colts wouldn’t cross over it so as the rest of the group went on ahead, we stayed behind trying everything to get them fillies to go over that covert. It took quite awhile to get them over it and we set out to catch up with everyone else and we got to the steepest part of the trail so we took a rest for a awhile before the big climb, so we just sat and talked for a bit. I was on my horse when I realized that I was standing right next to that same cliff and I was right under that little ledge where that man had put his hand on. Let me repeat that, I was on my horse and I still had to raise my arm up to where his hand was.

That was about 10 to 11 feet from the ground. I then proceeded to tell my cousin the story and what I saw but he immediately blew me off saying there was no way I saw a man that tall climb that cliff basically only using his arms. Even then I hadn’t thought much about it. It wasn’t until 2007 ish when I started getting into bigfoot and I saw that drawing of one that some guy had drawn after he had an encounter. I thought my mind was going to quit me. I scrambled to find a paper and pencil and I went to town frantically drawing and my hands were shaking so bad but when I was done I stepped back and just stared at it. There he was the man I had seen so long ago and all I did was make the creature the other guy drew bald and with a beard and it was exactly what I remembered. Now, say what you will but I still can’t bring myself to say I saw a bigfoot, but at the same time I can’t explain how that dude was so dam big. Anyway I don’t give a rip if you use my name or if you even want to share this. I’m to old to give 2 shits what anyone thinks of me or if anyone hears my story, My buddy just really wanted me to share it with you guys. I’ve really gotten sucked into your podcast and look forward to binging the whole dam thing.

I attached the drawing of what I remember him looking like.”

Moose… Thank you so very much!
FINALLY a true witness to the Lip Pop! I have always thought that they did these “tree knocks” with their lips. You saw it!
      Thank you!
Can you share anything else about the Lip Pop?
      – Was his mouth wide open all the time?
      – Did the sound come from a closed mouth to open mouth?
      – Did his lips roll?
      – Was his chest involved at all?
      – Did he thump his neck or chest as he made the sound?
      What can you tell us?
      Thank you so very much!

        My God that’s it….
        Predators had sex with warf
        It was messy
But warf can take it ….
9 months later warf gave birth to the first big foot
And due to the war like nature of the breast milk of the Klingons
Big Foot grew to be huge and nasty
        And began

        Mystery solved.

Been thinking for quite awhile now….
and after the Congressional extraterrestrial existence on Earth disclosure on Wednesday….
I’m really thinking that them crazy aliens combined their DNA with them smelly SamSquantch’s and created us “Homo sapiens”….
too many stories of Sasquatch’s and UFO’s being related…..
Plus, I got a friend who’s hairy’er than some of the Sasquatch being reported…. He is Italian thou…

This is ANOTHER AWESOME ENCOUNTER! Holy moly, nine years old and just going to hit the trails with my buddy for a few days, wow. This guy had an Angel looking out for him for sure. Wes, you ask exactly the right questions and I love it! Thank you! Cheers!

Did anyone else pick up on the comment that this guest made about his thoughts on what Sasquatch is? I found it very poignant that he mentioned that in the sampling, scientists are finding human DNA and then right away stating that it’s contaminated and the sample is not a valid source. But he also said that other collections using the scientific method and then tested have come back part human and inconclusive. What I thought after hearing that was we do know what Neanderthal DNA looks like. We do know Neanderthal DNA markers. So that begs the question, if some folks are theorizing that the Sasquatch are some sort of Neanderthal, wouldn’t it then makes sense that if that were so the samples would come back showing human/Neanderthal/inconclusive?

    • Brian L

      Ya know Joe….
DNA sampling is so impressive these days; I mean, environmental DNA collection where they believe a few gallons of stream/pond/lake water filtered for DNA can determine with high accuracy what’s in the sample…. Down to nematodes and other microlife…..
We all know Sasquatch exist right at this moment…..and yet their DNA remains elusive….but we can tell if a fish pissed in a pond….

      • Alexander R

There is two types of cellular DNA nucleus and mitochondrial. The mitochondrial is always inherited from the mother, this is what turned up human in Melba’s study. The nuclear DNA was un reconcilable re no match to anything.

What most people dont understand is that DNA is actually a quantum anchor. It anchors our soul and consciousness to our coporial form. This process also allows dimensional entities to enter our dimension through artificial creation of abominable DNA and quantum entanglement of unassembled matter.

In short dogman, sasquatch and other cryptid aren’t from this dimension. They were forced and brought here by higher dimensional beings. Some that chose to obey these beings have higher powers such as shifting and ball light search mode. Others have chose to break from their masters and are stuck here in a permanent flesh and bone state much like the asylum programs in the matrix movie.

        • Brian L

          Alexander…..that was Great….
The older u get….the more that any potential ‘reality’ becomes possible….
That’s why I bought a Mega Millions ticket even though the odds are 302 million to one…..
But I figure, I started out as a sperm in my old man’s sack…..that just happened to sneak through all the security and end up here….
          I’m not sold 100% on dogman…..
          But I’ll throw $2 at them odds…..

From reading her report and the scientists’ replies there was an issue in the collection method (not defined how/when etc) at the time and the human portion was part of a strand and contaminated. Don’t know if it was human because it was contaminated with human DNA accidentally in obtaining or handling the sample. Of course there was currently unknown species. The human question put the whole project in question. And it seems the study was not picked up again and tested which needs to happen- has to be more than one sample and need to be able to repeat the test and get the same result. She also entered the study to prove Sasquash which she named. You don’t name the species you are trying to have acknowledged. The whole thing seemed a mess with glaring problems not resolved. Too bad because this kinds ruined researchers’ credibility. Did not hear about Neanderthal. Best to not enter into it at this point. Good luck to the next team!

    Really good question, Joseph!
Thanks, Wes! Sorry about your heat wave up there in WA, it was 103 here in the Midwest today, and it felt perfectly horrible. Thank goodness for AC.
Hi everybody! Can’t wait to hear this episode.

  6. Steven B

Just when I thought I had heard it all..Thank you to moose ..you sound alot like the gentleman whi had an encounter with a skunk ape in Florida while on m his airboat. wish I remembered the episode number…my new favorite episode by far as of late….shoutout to Wes for all he does …godspeed

    • Brian L

      Saint John’s River….
The skunk apes had alittle paradise until you airboat guys made all that ‘racket’…..
      500 horsepower plane engine’s…..

  7. CJ M

I kept thinking ask moose if the knock coincided with his friend walking around the corner, was it a warning that someone was coming from the lookout?

Having no fear…..I have to really work to get rid of it.

I’ve listened to two podcasts in the last couple of days where people had interactions on their properties and they stopped…..and weird as it sounds they miss them. Its not the norm, but it seems to happen.

  8. Nicole S

Maybe he was going to do something to him, maybe he kept looking up the hill like “come on let’s go” but when he heard the other kid he figured shit I better leave! all speculation but I think when there’s more than one person they don’t do much!

  9. Jessica B

the Ra material—The Law of One. within the material a channeled higher consciousness relates that Bigfoot is a race of beings that are sometimes used to contain consciousness of beings with bodies and habits that make them better capable of and have survived nuclear cataclysm.
I think it may be something to do with having a tribe.

  10. Jessica B

I love the way he chatted to the Sasquatch. as a child he accepted the annoyance and kept chatting to the guy. probably the guy/Sasquatch had his mate up there, so he had to stay cool. and after that fire. Sasquatch is like, now I have to put up with this shit.

  11. Jessica B

we have a few “cloaking” panels that work by fractionating or dappling with its structure to obscure what is behind it. kinda like semi opaque panels on a shower door.

  12. Everett L

I know exactly where Moose is talking about. I worked on a ranch in that town. been exploring all that country. worked there at the very same time/year. I think I know him? Wow! my mind is blown Wes!

    • Dana J

Was your encounter polite? We really need more of these; strike up some conversations. At least they aren’t afraid of us- just shy. We aren’t shy just afraid of them to the point of killing them so if we can hold off on the death dream then maybe we can get somewhere!!!!!

  13. Roy F

another great episode, Wes, and memorable encounter, Moose.

I suspect that SC followers are also following the testimonies in Congress concerning UFO/UAP. I suggest reviewing Art Bell’s vault of interview with Bob Lazar, Col. Philip Corso and Frank Kaufman from up to 30 years ago to compare their information with the information being revealed now. While wondering why this is not the biggest revelation in world history, I can only imagine it’s because most people have already accepted this information to be true for many years now.

  14. Stephanie G

I kept imagining him as the nosey neighbor kid on Home Alone that’s asking a bunch of questions as they’re packing the van to leave 😆 I imagine the sasquach got home and everyone was like dude what took you so long, we were calling you.. and the sasquach like you won’t believe this but some human kid kept talking to me and I couldn’t get away

I was 10 years old in 1967 with my first encounter. It had red eyes and I thought satan came to my window. My mom said I was having a nightmare but my cousin 7 years ago confirmed my enc. he and my uncle saw it on a ridge above our home in Southern California. People often think you’re crazy or lying.
From a child’s perspective I get it. Thank you for sharing.

    • Dana J

Love it Stephanie! He looked so “put together” thinking he had a hot date with lady Sasquash! He kept looking behind and up the hill, right? Rule don’t get into a brawl before a date. From the Sasquash Manners Book 101.

I loved listening to Moose share his encounter…I rarely listen to the same show immediately back to back, but this one I listened to two nights in a row. Picturing Moose as an unsuspecting young boy interrogating a Sasquatch with a volley of questions totally delighted me…the fact that the Sasquatch was visibly annoyed by him delighted me, too. Wonderful descriptions and details made the story so rich Thank you Wes and Moose, this is one I’ll be thinking about for a long time!

  17. Blanche D

Fabulous encounter ❤. Kind of funny to think of guest as a gabbering kid trying to communicate with a huge male sassy 🤣 I wonder if the sore on his forehead was a burn?

  18. Seamus J. C

This is the first time I have ever heard of a bald sasquatch. I estimate I have heard/read near 3K encounter stories, what with all the SC episodes, other podcasts, and the BFRO. Wes has probably heard 10K, easy, with only 6 or 7 baldies. That’s a baldness rate of .07 percent! Or one in 1,500 chance of going bald as a sasquatch, or 1 in 750 if we assume male pattern baldness in bigfoot with half of encounters being of males (probably more like 2/3 are males, but I’m spitballing here). Lucky bastards! Human males have a 66% baldness rate by age 35.

Speaking of the hair, the body hair in Moose’s drawing looks more human than sasquatch. It’s curly, like human body hair. Most accounts of sasquatch body hair is straight & long.

    Yeah–Kimbo Slice!

  19. Kimberly M

I’ve heard several bald Sasquatch encounters on this show alone! So I don’t know what these people are talking about saying they’ve never heard of a bold one. And as for the comments about this guy drawing curly hair, maybe he’s not an artist and drawing curls was easiest. This guys is telling the truth! I can tell by his comments and they way he responds quickly. There are a few I e heard that you can tell by the way they respond and know they are not being truthful but this guy is being honest.

  20. Lynne G

I never thought of a tree knock being made from a hand Wes. I assumed a piece of wood. Having heard them 50-60 feet from me I have to rethink the sound. SO LOUD so close! Nuts to think soft tissue can make a sound like that against wood. They are made of bricks if so! Cool story. Kids are amazing people.

  21. Jesse D

you’ve got people who say they look like native americans, black people, Neanderthals all kinds of ethnic associations. Makes sense they’d look like native peoples if you’re dealing with advanced gene therapy over years and years. In the same breath, daughter of man would’ve been nothing but native type people so of course there would be a litany of them for the Nephillim theory. Humans carry this receding hair gene too 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think it was a cool encounter!

  22. Jesse D

ps…. I love that this innocent sweet kid is just trying to chat up a stranger and he ANSWERS him! I just loved this encounter. I didn’t listen alll the way thru that the baldness was likely an injury! 🙈

  23. Dana J

    Re above comment:
Surprise! We have an on-board expert on Sasquash body hair- says the drawing is too curly. We don’t know everything about them. Must be that human DNA gene- even though it was contaminated….Seem to be lots of variances- unlike the grey men who are all alike. Maybe that is why some people are drawn to the greys.
Looks so handsome- maybe waiting for his girlfriend- you would have been an annoyance! He kept looking up the hill- hoped she waited for him. Lots to say on their date!
I am convinced some people look at them and absolutely don’t “see” them. I think their minds can’t cope.
    Great episode!
