That’s GREAT! The ” Voice of Reason ” is 4 years the older ! Same as My Brother , the ” Sun Shine Boy ” , & Myself. ( Oh How I remember the satisfaction , I would get. When I would Pound his ‘Toe Headed’ Ass ! ) ( But NO ONE else could. I would not tolerate it .) This I am Certain is why we are so close Today . Sibling Rivalry at it’s Finest !
Please bring back the ” Voice of Reason ” ! I Like that Guy ! ( I can relate !)
Ps: Great Interview Jack ! Bravo !!!

My prediction is this. Listenership will now skyrocket with membership of hundreds of 10 year olds. They will hear Jacks book report, investigate the website, tell their friends about this cool website they discovered and BAM! Wes and Will are off to the races.
Wes and Will great job on making a little boy VERY happy..

Jack and Charlie what a great job interviewing Wes and Will!! You two have brightened my day, did no listen till this morning at 5:00am here in Ohio. I am sure thru your research, that you know Sasquatch have been reported thru most of of Ohio. I saw mine in Richland County in the 70’s. There have been 3 sightings I know of over the last couple years here in Holmes county where I live now. Email Shannon sure she is very up to date on Ohio encounters. Sure hope you get an A on your report. Thanks for being an active member of SC. Oh, thought the question about how many are out there was awesome!! Great dad to! GOOD LUCK!!

This was a very good interview. I am very impressed at Jack’s unashamed curiousity, and makes me wonder about the out of Africa theory for every kind of hominid, including sasquatches of all types.

I just wonder if they increased in size over time to cope with their surroundings, and availability of nutrition, a bit like other creatures from the pleistocene epoch of earth’s history.

They may have started out similar in size to us, but got bigger instead of smart enough to make rudimentary clothes, etc.

Jack’s question about population numbers prompted me to google “Minimum viable breeding population”, a wiki page referring to pandas gave me “the minimum viable population that satisfies the 90 to 95 percent probability for survival is between 50 and 60 pandas”.

I thought this was surprisingly low.

Also A+ to the guys (and gal) for pushing the format into different directions. You guys have the magic akin to a great frontman and guitar player, keep mixing it up.

  6. Logan E

Great idea, but I will say that I’ve immediately closed bigfoot interviews on youtube when I see they are conducted by 14 year olds. Although this is a nice thing you are doing, and I’m sure it’s nice and on the level, I’m going to be skipping this episode.

  7. James L

Jack, congratulations, you are now an official Bigfoot researcher! Don’t underestimate the importance of what you have done. Most of us just listen to stories. You have conducted what is know as “Primary Research.” That means you went out and actually spoke to someone who had an experience, and gathered the information yourself. Now you can form an opinion based on your own investigation. I encourage you to continue to do this type of work on any subject you study, and not just believe what you read and hear. Great Work!

  8. Victor D

This is actually a really good recap of the hosts background and encounters, straight forward questions and equally straight answers. Fun to listen to for me over here in snowy dark Sweden, great job

  9. Donna K

That was a great interview Jack. We loved listening to the whole thing. Just so you know, we are just north of Cincinnati in Butler;County in the West Chester Ohio area and we listen to Sasquatch Chronicles all the time. I think what Wes meant to say is that many of the highest number of encounters take place in north east Ohio and north central and eastern Ohio. I have only heard of a few in Southwest Ohio but most are central and east toward the Applachian areas.

  10. Ray T

THE ABSOLUTE BEST !!!… I hope you guys can truly appreciate the gravity of influencing the next generation of growing minds !… just to open the door to the possibilities that there are still a vast amount of things to be learned and explained, makes the future and infinite cornucopia of the imagination !… Whoever made the call to have Jack and his brother on… Genius !
    God Bless.

  11. Gerald G

Way to go Jack, you could give shanon a run for her money buddy. Phenomenal question’s. Loved your interviewing skills . I have know doubt you’ll get an A+ on your report. GREAT JOB… Good show guys.

  12. Kim

Wes, you did an outstanding job towards answering Jacks questions. You spoke directly, not down to him. You made your answers to the point and did not elaborate, just enough to give him more food for thought.
Will, always the scholar! The Prof. In front of his students, direct.
You guys did a fantastic interview.
Jack, I think we would all like to see your paper and grade! Good luck honey!
    Funny guy, arent you Charlie?
And Dad, what a fantastic thing you did for your children! Kudos!

  13. Jason M

I’m really surprised at all the giddy comments. Don’t get me wrong… the kids were great. Normally, were it any other subject but this one, I’d say Wes and Will were awesome to let the kids have the mic.

But guys, I just don’t get it… Is this show about a serious subject or not? And if it is, is it really a subject for kids? What are you telling these kids? That yes, there really are 1200 lb relic hominids living among us, but let’s all have a laugh about it? Don’t worry about the fact that they seem to abduct kids your age. Don’t worry that they are reported to be cannibalistic. I know you weren’t trying to scare them, but really.. if you are telling us the truth about your encounters… isn’t that PRECISELY what you should do.. for their own good?

The dad acts like it’s a fun little thing to have the boys all get excited about the boogeyman and imagine what goes bump in the night.

You guys *know* what goes bump in the night. Bring the show back to earth is all I’m say’n.

  14. Nicholas R

Jason – I appreciate the concern but rest assured, as they stated, they truly are fans of the show. That means they have heard all the encounters, and they know that they can turn ugly and that these creatures are dangerous. I feel it is important for them to know this for their own safety. That doesn’t mean we go out of our way to scare them, that doesn’t make sense when this is a school report and will be heard by their classmates who do not have that same frame of reference. Remember, gathering info for a school report…not getting ready to go hunt bigfoot with Bob Garrett.

    • Jason M

      Hi Nicholas,
Well, to your point about your boys being fans of the show who are just making a book report…

I’m not criticizing your boys or you.. they were superlative. But you’ll forgive me for being still a bit incredulous that the show’s hosts can turn on and turn off the seriousness so easily. I’m certainly not calling them liars; I do believe that they saw *something* in their encounters.

Let me come clean about my passion on the subject, which I’ve had a fascination with for more than 4 decades. I’ve had nightmares about these things when I was a kid. As an adult, I have spent a lot of time in the Pacific NW hiking and camping. That some creature like a bigfoot could elude modern man in those forests does not surprise me one bit. I will also admit that the thrill of listening to scary stories from the safety of one’s snug bed is very entertaining! But I’m finishing a PhD in environmental sciences, and the scientist in me demands to see compelling scientific evidence that these creatures exist, not just more and more anecdotal evidence and footprints. I am cautiously skeptical of the whole phenomena, but also willing to examine all evidence. (Yes, to me “Patti” looks like the real deal).

The bottom line is: these things exit or they don’t. If they don’t… well… Wes and Will get an Academy Award 😉
If they do, then that is a *very* serious reality, with all the gravity that was presented in the three Down the Rabbit Hole episodes.

In a nutshell … if this is all real … should we find it at all entertaining?
      – Jason

Jason, you make some good points. I enjoyed the show and thought the kids asked great questions but I see your points made. I was thinking of my sweet little granddaughter and we live near woods with all kinds of wild animals. I would want her to know things for her own safety but I would indeed be careful how much indepth info and encounters I would expose her too. That did cross my mind too during the interview. How much is too much info for kids at that age to handle? When I was a kid, mom and dad took us to a scary movie. It had something about a boogey man looking into this young kids window. It really scared me a lot and I remember that I was just young enough and impressionable enough that it stayed with me and I was afraid of looking out windows after that for a time especially at night. thought I was such a wimp and didn’t think it was scaring my older sister so I tried to pretend it didn’t bother me a bit. I never said anything to my parents either. Some of these shows are pretty raw and if they can scare an adult, it is a good question, how much should we expose our kids too? I have never seen a Saquatch but with all I have heard, I have a far different perspective of the woods now. In my younger years I jogged and hiked sometimes alone in the Mountains and forests and this is something I would never do again. So something to consider indeed. The show was interesting, the questions good and I am a fan of the show, but good valid points Jason is bringing up too. Worth considering. If I had had an encounter I may tell Lydia when she is older a scaled down version, she would never be going in the woods unattended ever, so trying to worn her at such a young age I would be afraid it could do more harm than good. I think the idea of doing a book report was a great idea but not sure this program is always subject matter for kids.

  16. Asheim

That said with my above comment–my husband is Norwegian and growing up in Norway all the kids are exposed to fairy tales of the Trolls. Trond completely believed the stories as a kid and there were stories of Trolls capturing and eating yes children! One day, he encountered this neighbor lady that looked “very scary” to him and he asked if she were a Troll. But over here the Troll stories are treasured. Interesting. Bonnie

I struggled with when to let them listen. I won’t let my 3 year old listen yet of course. My middle child has been able to handle scarey stuff since he was young without incident for some reason. My oldest could not, he didn’t start listening until he was almost. 7. Both tell me if it is too scarey of a part and we simply fast forward. At the end of the day, a little fear and hesitation in the woods is a good thing, could keep them from getting lost or hurt. A see your points though.

Oh my gosh! There is a monster in the woods! Should we never laugh again? Should we constantly live in fear?
    Never crack a smile?
We all have way more to fear, from the people around us, who work with us, and are family members and neighbors. We all stand to be much more likely preyed upon by another human being, than a bigfoot. Think about the odds for just a second! Does that mean we can’t converse with other people, or laugh at their jokes?
Some of you need to stay locked up in your houses, while the rest of us live. Being in constant fear, is not living.

They did it for the children!

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean this to be a rant, it just blows my mind how many people try to find negativity in EVERYTHING!

Chris. (Great job W,W, and S! I love you guys!)

  20. Sean C

Great job Jack and Charlie! I’m glad that you have the interest in this subject, and willingness to investigate and learn!

I can’t believe, the endless hours, that I spent out in both the woods of Southeast Oklahoma, and the woods of Southeast Texas, during my childhood! I’m talking about being outside all day, and still being out in the woods when it got dark, before heading back to my Grandparent’s house. They were busy, and I would just walk out in the woods with my BB gun, and the day and hunt would begin. I only came back, when I got hungry, or it was too dark to see. My Grandparents lived near the Arkansas border, in Southern LeFlore county. I know there are sasquatch there, and I can even remember hearing about sightings on the local news, while my Grandfather and I waited for Johnny Carson to come on. I wish I had even half of the knowledge that you guys now have at your age. I would have been a little more careful, at the very least.

Just be careful, be respectful of your surroundings, and enjoy the wilderness and forests around you, for the magical places that they are. And keep your grades up too! : )

Great job guys, keep it up!

    Chris

I’m sorry, I know that some people are suffering from PTSD, and other forms of real fear, that are not to be taken lightly. Myself, I have seen some truly horrible things, that I may never forget.

I was just trying to give some perspective to this scenario. It is some great kids, looking into a very interesting and controversial subject. Many of us, including myself, are very passionate about the subject.

I don’t believe, that the SC Crew helping out some children with a book report and interview, means that the guys are fixing to throw a barbecue and break out the flutes!

    Sincerely,
    Chris

  22. Dave A

That was an awesome show! Jack and Charlie had great questions. Hats off to Wes and Will for having them on! On a side note, I would like to have a SQ T-shirt. Do you guys sell them?

  23. Crypto Zulu

It’s really something when a child approaches a subject with interest. Jack’s questions were brilliant and you guys were magnanimous. I especially enjoyed questions asked by Charlie. Nice show guys.

  24. William C

I am a devoted father & I truly get children before I get most poisoned grown ups . This interview was cute but I’m not to shy to say really ? I paid to find out you guys are nice & cute ? Is the $ for this site a lot ? No but think about that it’s the same price as Netflix (10,000 +movies and or T v shows .) so the one creditable show we get each week should be amazing . I know business , I’m 35, retired for life & self made . Started from a van to Florida with nothing . The last few weeks have been nothing compared to the first 30 that were free . I love what was done here & I was sold on the pay site . But it this world people fall off quick . Trust me you can follow your hart to the end if time but hart does not pay . I did not get where I am hoping to change peoples lives every day . Make your money & then change the world . People are talking now . Take that talk & get guests that scare people & make listeners have to pay to tune in each week . 2 years from now heal the world if need be . But don’t try the nice guy shit this early .

That was so much fun to listen to, so many thanks to all involved. So much goodness to behold.

Thanks, Jack and Charlie! We really loved listening to you guys. I really love your project for school, and I’m a teacher who would never give you grief. lol 😀

For all who asked, Jack was the only kid in his class who received an “O” on his report, for Outstanding. He was very nervous giving his first public speech but having the interview to play (shortened to 2 minutes), helped calm his nerves and generated great questions from his classmates.
Thanks again Wes, this created a memory Jack and Charlie will never forget. We absolutely love the show. I emailed you a digital copy of his final report, hope you received it.
BTW – Their new BF Podcast called “The Chronicles of Sasquatch Jr.” will be airing on Thursday and Sunday nights starting this summer……..just kidding, was very cool to hear this was your favorite episode during tonight’s Podcast. Shows a lot about your true character. My favorite episode is the one where you called out all the negativity and attackers, because you ultimately decided to continue te show!
