SC EP:300 Sasquatch Encounters and Infrasound

Coonbo will be stopping by tonight to talk about infrasound and Sasquatch behavior. I will also be speaking to Linda and Linda writes “Hi Wes, I live in Midland county, MI but I am from Oklahoma. My mom is from there and my dad is from MI. They met when he was in the Airforce,so I am an airforce brat. Every summer my family would drive to Michigan in July for family vacation. I have a lot of cousins I would get to see and our family would go to the UP for camping and fishing.

In the summer of what I think was 1978, I was at my aunt and stepuncles house in rural midland county. Our parents had all left the house to go out for a drive and us kids were in the back yard looking for something to do. My cousins were excited to let me know they had a minibike. So we all decided to take turns on it and drive back into the woods,on a trail that goes through there. After a couple of them took turns,my step cousin Kathy and I went together, she drove and I was on the back.

We got going along this trail and we drove into this clearing that was a sandy turnaround that went to the left in a circle, and back out the trail. Well when we got into this turnaround, straight ahead above some blueberry bushes, was a big dark brown/black head of a creature that had huge round dark eyes and it was staring at us, not moving. Well I guess Kathy saw it the same time I did, because she turned the bike over on us,I burned my leg on the muffler.

We didn’t say anything, just grabbed up the bike and took off out of there. When we got back I asked her if she saw what I saw,and she stated:Yes but I don’t want to talk about it: She went in the house then and I didn’t ride that bike either again. None of the other kids mentioned anything about seeing anything that day…..So now we are all older and have all talked about this and I found out that both my cousins saw that thing and also with a neighbor kid, when they saw it picking apples off a tree out in a field.

When I saw it that day on the minibike,it had a large kind of flattened nose, big eyes,no hair,at least not what I could see, on its face. It had dark hair or fur on its head, the bushes that summer were about 6ft 2 inches, and this thing was a full head taller than the top of the hushes. I have pics that I took that day with my new kodak 110 pocket camera my mom had bought me for Christmas but the pics don’t tell me which year it was, but I believe it was 1978. Of course I didn’t have my camera on me when I got on the bike and probably would not have took a pic anyway as I was in shock and at the time did not realize what I had seen.”

Congrats on show number 300 Wes, even though you’ve actually done more than that! Still, it’s a nice milestone and you deserve a lot of credit. Looking forward to what Coonbo will bring to the party and any other surprises you have in store.

Two of my customers here in North Texas have told me about seeing monsters in the Up. One lady is a fire marshal and the other is a retired surgeon. Both used to live up there

    • Eric

Hi Robert, I’m from and still live in the UP so I’m curious, do you know what it was they saw? Sasquatch, dogman, or something else?

And thanks Wes for your continued hard work finding guests and making the best commuting hours of my week ?. Thanks to all the guests for sharing also!

  3. Asheim

Congratulations Wes!!! Been with you from the start. You have just got better and better. Best Sasquatch podcast out there. Thanks for all your hard work to keep these shows high quality.

Congratz Wes on 300 shows!? I’ve been listening since… well I don’t think you were even numbering the shows way back then haha I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everything you do here, and I can’t wait to hear the next 300 shows. ?

As always we enjoyed listening to the podcast. We listen to Bigfoot outlaws too. We had just heard the last one on the infersound. I agree that was very interesting. I suggested to my son he send you an email about the structures he has seen while picking mushrooms. He also told me About seeing orbs. He and his wife would even see them by where they lived in Falls City Oregon population about 500. Not a city? Just a name. Any way it was very interesting hearing his stories. Thanks again Wes love listening to your guests.

Wonderful episode and really enjoyed it Wes. Your 300th episode, and you hit it out of the park with Coonbo Baker. Just a wonderful episode that really explained several questions I know I have had – the orbs (resonance in our eyes! makes sense to me), and infra-sound. He is really on top of that one. Couldn’t have had a better great, grand, wonderful 300th! I’m wishing you many, many more.. You mean a lot to this community; I only hope you know it…

What a great surprise. I’m a bigfoot outlaw member and I have been listening to Wes since before his 1st show. He will lnow what I mean. I live in central MS, my Dad gtew up in Monroe county MS which is close to a lot of his sightings, MS and AL. My Mom grew up in Neshoba countt MS which is somewhat close to where Bear grew up. I know we only have Coonbo but his knowledge is unsurpassed in my opinion. I haven’t even hit play but I know it will be good. Thanks brother Wes, cudo’s to you once again my friend.

    • BrokenMind27

Lol, congrats Wes, #300, I forgot till after the comment above. I found your shiw on a riad trip from south MS to sourh KY. There and back I think I listened to everything you had twice and it was before you started this numbering system. **best intro was tge ac/dc with the kid. You should play it once for everyone. Anyway, congratulations, big achievement my friend. Talk to you again at #400.

Also been listening since your encounter, you have come along way and you’ve done it well. Thank you Linda and Coonbo and Wes let
us get another 300. I’m not greedy. Just love the show. j.v.

  9. tony k

Congrats Wes and Thank You. I’ve been listening since the start and because of your show I’ve learned more about my own encounter that I couldn’t explain before. Keep up the Awesome work.

One thing I don’t get is how they can be violent is always mentioned?? They are wild animals isn’t that common sense and too make them out to be the most violent thing is so false. Have you ever heard the show Hippo encounters? No you didn’t you know why? Everyone who ever walked up to one is dead! Rhinos, Tigers, Lions, Nile crocs any of what I mentioned there would be no shows! Here we have 300 episodes. How many encounters have been reported? Any wild animal is dangerous of course! But a far as Sasquatch being the most dangerous?? They are not in the top 5 maybe the backend of the top 10

    • F S

Sorry, Toots, but Wes has done TONS of shows with “neutral” encounters, and quite a few with positive ones.
He’s just the host. The people who share their stories are what they are.

      • Lou V

lol I didn’t mean Wes, I meant in general I’m a huge fan of Wes and have been on the show. Just pointing out that in the animal world they are not that bad. There are dozens of animals on earth that if you walked up on one like people do a lot with Sasquatch they are instantly gone. Any wild animal is dangerous. People in Africa are like please we’ll trade you Sasquatch for hippos

      • Lou V

I used to do it too lol until I realized I was wrong. Also you should read my post again I never used a name if I meant one person I would of said it. I forgot in this day and age you have to be very specific. If your in conversation and say ” hey that’s a nice car ” the next day you have an angry voicemail from the person saying ” Dude that car is 89 grand are you out of your head I can’t afford that” not sure when this all started but it’s awful.

  11. Jill F

Fantastic! Well done on reaching 300 superb episodes, Wes.
Blimey! It’s 2 hours! Hang on! Gorra find something to eat and drink and settle down with my knitting. I know this is gonna be great!

  12. Sid N

Yeah! I’m happy that in a previous show about sightings of Sasquatch running across the road in front of approaching cars, I said that Combo and Bear speak about these creatures “counting coup” and I suggested that may be why they cross the roads in front of approaching cars! Right on! BTW, Happy #300, to infinity and beyond, Wes!

Okay – comment on the show.
ANOTHER “Bigfoot Outlaws” guest show, and although Coonbo seems to be eloquent and knowledgeable, he AGAIN sights examples of ALL his group’s research (that they will not share with the public).
Audio files, videos, pictures, “special calls” – all held in their super-special-only-for-our-group clubhouse high atop Mount Smug.
Wanna talk events? NOPE! ONLY OPEN TO “OUR” GROUP!
For cripe sakes, Wes, you’ve supported this sorority of “cool” chicks for years, and you’re begging to be let in the dance? Like they can’t let in ONE MORE PLEDGE? They should have you as a guest of honor.
I’m also confused about the sudden support of “Finding Bigfoot”. I’ve heard NUMEROUS shows full of snickering at the mear mention of their name.
I’m happy to hear that Mr. Moneymaker called you and you suddenly seem to be open to him. I can only imagine why he called – but money (and publicly) talks, bullsh*t walks, and, as you say, this is your job.
I ACTUALLY HAVE COME TO RESPECT THE “FINDING BIGFOOT” GROUP MORE THAN I EVER HAVE FOR THE “OUTLAWS”. AT LEAST THEY SHARE THEIR FINDINGS. Maybe THEY will let you play with their toys?
As for “The Outlaws” – I hope they have fun at their “Slumber Party”. I bet they give each other makeovers and all get matching “America Girl” dolls, with black stetsons. (Let’s not hold our breath to ever see them.) Shucks!

  14. Julie D

Wes, 300 shows! What an incredible milestone! Quality guests, quality host, quality show! I can’t wait to see what the next 300 shows will be, you just keep upping your game! This is clearly your calling, Thank you for all your hard work it really shows.

  15. Gabriel H

Muppets Be Damned. Late but heading into this episode now – and I certainly hope you’ve got a couple of cold ones at your side tonight. Lord knows you’ve earned it.

    Cheers Wes. Cheers all ?

  16. Pat T

Hey Wes, been with you from te begining, can’t believe it’s been 300 episodes already. You deserve the accolades big guy! And a big shout out to all of your courageous guests too! Just keep being humble friend, that’s a gift you’ve been using well over the years. Looking forward to the next 300 episodes from a place where people feel very comfortable in sharing their experiences and we get to listen in!

  17. Jeffrey H

Wes, proud of you buddy!! I’ve been with you from your 3rd or 4th episode where it was just you and Woody, before you were trying out a 3rd or 4th host to add to the mix. You have become so professional at this, Woody to, It’s like second nature to you. I just want to congratulate you on your 300th show and I’ll be doing it to your 600th too. You come a long way and you deserve it. All the best to you, your family in the future Wes!!

  18. Jim C

Wes, from what I understand, you had no previous radio experience or broadcasting/production of putting a radio show together, you have done a fantastic job in a profession that’s not easy! That’s a great credit to you. Most impressive to me is, not everyone, even with great information or presentation, still don’t have a “voice” for radio, many are too difficult/boring to listen to for any length of time but you have the gift for radio, in my opinion. Fantastic! you found your “niche” that your good at, I admire it, keep it going. Another area I’m most impressed with is you having so much data on this topic from all your interviews. You could easily put together a book that would provide so much information on sightings from each state, county, time of year/day, topography, creature descriptions, etc , so much data. Wish you Continued success!

  19. Jeffrey H

Another great show for the big 3-0-0! First guest was great. I enjoyed her eencouter. Coonbo has the scientific background and explains things so well. I heard his podcast on the subject of intrasound and it was one of the better shows. He goes into such detail on tntrasound but still makes it very understandable. Thanks Wes!

  20. Klane C

    Congrats Wes!
I’ve heard every show and can recite quite a few. Great Show buddy but I feel you really underplayed this great accomplishment. ???
    Thanks for a great 300
    ….The lights on …

  21. Tristan L

Gratz Wes on ep. #300! I Haven’t had a chance to catch up since last Friday… Great to see Tim back on, love it when you host the Outlaws! Between both shows, you guys are simply the best resource out there.

  22. Torz C

Psychotronic weapons. Very dangerous. Used to be able to buy them in the 80’s till the government discovered how effective they were. So they banned the sale of them and got the military industrial complex involved in development. Now they are used for very nefarious means including sound cannons, at the very mildest end of the spectrum.

  23. craig d

Hey, not to be argumentative but if the lights are caused by infrasound then please explain the various coloured orbs caught on camera. Why are the American ape brigade so opposed to what’s slapping them in the face.

  24. Blanche D

Top episode. Grat guests. Found discussion with Coonbo about infrasound fascinating. I always wondered what the frequency of infrasound was and now I know 🏋️‍♀️
