SC EP:1172 The Gorilla-Man And The Haunted Home

Dominic writes “There was two separate occasions with in the same year it happened once when eight years old another when I was about nine. When I lived in the town of Allen in western New York.

We lived on basswood hill and our family owned about Ten acres of land but our neighbors each had 250 acres of land and they were hunters so really only were around on the weekend and or hunting season. So they would let us in there property whenever it wasn’t hunting season. And me and some family members all around the same age as me built a fort in a heavy pine tree area and it was fairly cold out it was late October.

Well we were gonna build a little camp fire but I decided to sneak a pot form in the kitchen and put rocks in there to hold heat. (8) year old take in mind. Well as we were sneaking items in and out of the kitchen on our way back to our fort I saw in the tree opening a face a gorilla face looking in at us and I ran away along with the other kids and grabbed our bigger pocket knives and went back to see it was gone.

The other encounter was on the same property. But in the summer. Me and my nephew were gonna camp out out back and as we were bringing the tents out something caught my eye in our hay field we assumed immediately it was a black bear and they were common in the area but as we looked longer and the sun was setting we realized this thing was massive. So we got our binoculars which these binoculars were garbage kids toys pretty much but also gave us a slightly better look.

This thing kinda was shaped like a gorilla once again. I just remembered seeing very large shoulders and it was on all fours but had its rear end towards the ground. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the movie Tarzan but we grew up watching it . It reminded me of kerchek the head ape. But we went inside to find an adult to show them but by the time they came out it was gone.”

      The sound of claws is horrific!!! And a WOLF HOWL???!!!?? I’d be out of there too! I wonder if the jumping sound was a dogman jumping in a window or something. A Jesus statue with a broken head!!! Demonic for sure!

    Wes, love love love the show — been a member for a few years now and it’s one of my favorite listens. That said, some of these ghost story guests lately… whew. The last woman? Solid. Totally believable. But this most recent guy? I felt like I was listening to someone pitching a Netflix series, not sharing a real experience. Might be worth vetting the storytellers a bit more — some seem more interested in getting attention than telling the truth. Still a fan, just raising a skeptical eyebrow over here.

    You may want to watch The Conjuring one and two, Wes. Very highly produced movie about actual cases the Warren’s (who are the real deal) investigated. I became familar with them in the early days of Art Bell. And the acting by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farminga and others is excellent. Im not one to watch all the fake spirits movies. I did like Poltergeist back in the 80s, and watched The Exorcist when it first came out at the theatre in 1973. At random times during The Exorcist movie, the seat behind me would screak a little and sound like someone was either getting in the seat or out of it. I would look back and see nothing. Acutally there was no one for 5 rows behind me and some buddies in the front row. About 15 years ago on a Haunted Michigan website I found this theatre was haunted and over 150 people told of their experiences, especially those that had worked their, mostly when cleaning up at the end of the day. Some others had experiences like I did. Overall opinions were it was a friendly sort of spirit.

    Wow this reminds me of experiences in my house years ago. We were downstairs and heard a boom from upstairs like someone jumped off the bed. When I went upstairs to see what it was the 4 shutters were wide opened. These shutters are always latched closed. This happened again 5 minutes later and same thing with the shutters. This happened periodically till I Saged the house. This wasnt the only strange thing but this story reminds me of those 2 poltergeist phenomena

    So sorry Dominic that your Mother passed, especially at such an early age. Looked at Satelittle photos of where you grew up and lots of forest. Thanks for sharing your Bigfoot and high strangeness incidents.

    Great show Wes! I think Dominic experienced residual energy from the past..I believe that’s what I experienced too in central Illinois in ‘93. The veil is thinning between two dimensions. We kinda see and feel past events as they happened. There’s more to it of course, but that’s what I think is happening during a lot of that. Fascinating and scary stuffs!! Thanks for putting the lights on for us Wes! ♥️🥰

    I wish I could talk with Dom. my parents were from Hornell, NY and my great uncle owned a hunting camp near Wellsville. I hunted the areas east of Doms area. I left there for Montana in ‘77. I would love to talk about the countryside with him. That area of the country is old. I hunted in and around old homesteads where you’d come across rock walls in the woods that were at one time fences. I found numerous old homestead dumps where you could find cork top whiskey and medicine bottles.
    that country is old. it has an old feel to it. there are other Bigfoot sightings in the area towards Canisteo and the Canisteo River valley. The area is not far from Tioga county Pennsylvania. Gods Country.
