SC EP:1150 The Round Butte Incident

Tonight I will be speaking with Corey from Central Oregon. Corey in 1994 was partying on Round Butte. That night turned into terror as the group was spot lighted from this large ball of light in the sky. On their way out Corey and his friends saw a large creature and decided to give chase.     I’ve been following this topic a LONG time. I have a scientific background with a masters degree and have worked with numerous state and federal agencies as a biologist. For yrs I bought into the ape/giganto hypothesis until I realized that was not likely, as I realized this things are not animals, they are sentient beings of some kind. As the UAP topic began gaining more traction and I started looking into that, I realized these two topics are tied together in some way, im not saying these being drive flying saucers and I don’t know how or why, but these two phenomena are definitely linked in some way. This link may be peripheral, but there is definitely a tie

    I believe, We are dealing with creatures who are operating with ancient technology. I also believe our governments are aware of these beings and tech. Hopefully we will be made aware of these beings truth someday very SOON.

I will have to listen to this episode again, but I think this place is rich with minerals, and this could have some importance to an EBE. Also, what happened to the hot girl from the party??     Great name, Corey!! lol. My son’s name is Cory. Anyway, thank you for sharing this, that’s maybe one of my favorite episodes and I’ve listened to ALL of them. You really need to get Sybilla Erwin to sketch what you saw!!! If you don’t already know, her YouTube show is called “sketching encounters.” You should get ahold of her!!! You can just go comment on one of her shows and I guarantee she will get back to you. I’m sure she’d love to have you on her show!!! I would LOVE to see her draw the elf looking things!!!

    Like I mentioned before. The Columbia river gorge Apecat is a cryptid I first heard about last fall. Supposedly come in 2 sizes which match the Extinct American Lion. 500lbs female and 1000lbs male. There is a Grocery store on the WA side of the gorge that has accumulated over 200 sightings,

    Where did we go from calling 911 at the old woman’s house to being the girls house when the cops show up? Are we running out of credible witnesses? Good story and real in the gentleman’s mind im sure but none the less drug induced or maybe schizophrenia im pretty certain of that and im not even Dr but i dont think a Dr is needed to determine that if im being honest.     This is a great show though Wes I’ve never had an experience nor was I a believer but after listening to every episode im convinced Sasquatch is real and will argue with anyone about it because there are to many similarities from too many different witnesses but you’ll never concvince me of floating bullskulls

    Reminds me of accounts from other found–missing person’s”, nut they could not coherently explain their experience, they talk of people that would run away and not help them. What I think is weird is that recent videos I have watched that sort of ties it all together. A guy that has them on his property that says that bigfoot have tech.

    The Navajos believe there’s a connection between Sasquatch and aliens. As far as I know, the exact nature of what that connection is wasn’t stated. There could be any number of reasons those more specific details would be left out.

    I wish I could speak to this guest. I’d also like to share my experience with Wes and the SC family. I am 58 years old. When I was five I was playing in my backyard sandbox when I was taken. I don’t like the stigma of the “abduction” term. I was subsequently taken many times over the next five years with it stopping as far as I’m aware, around the age of ten. They looked like humans. They were telepathic which I immediately loved.

    I have spoken about it all my life. As a kid I drove my family crazy with my obsession of UFO’s. They didn’t take me seriously.

    Just as this guest stated- it changed my perception of the world. I have never trusted government and I’ve always understood that nothing is as it seems. I’ve been ridiculed all my life over it but I’ve never cared because I know it happened.

    I do believe it is related- I’ve had numerous prophetic dreams including dreaming about 9/11 at age 12.

    In 1990 I did attend a MUFON conference in an attempt to find answers where I had a very interesting conversation with Budd Hopkins but going there showed me I likely wouldn’t find answers only more questions.

    I’ve never felt compelled to share my experiences on a podcast or to that degree where a wide audience was involved, but after listening to Wes for several years now I would like to do so. I did reach out to Wes but figure my email got lost amongst many. Plus I didn’t write a detailed message. I’d rather tell him because it’s a lot to write.

    Some bullet points:

    I was five and the visitations lasted for five years.
    I was shown and interacted with technology including a vehicle that was operated by the mind.
    They looked Nordic and were telepathic.
    They took me to a sort of military base where humans were in partnership
    They told me I wasn’t the only one they were interacting with
    They told me the earth was in danger
    They laughed when I asked them if our armies could fight them
    After I unsuccessfully tried to tell my parents what was happening (they believed it was an imaginary play game) I asked the beings why my parents never knew I was gone (I was often taken during daytimes) they told me they’d put me back in the moment in time that they took me

    At age 21 I asked my family if they’d experienced anything and they had some very interesting things to share. My father may have witnessed the first time I was taken from the sandbox as he described exactly the same orb like craft hovering in the backyard as he stood inside looking out the kitchen window.

    Me and my mother had a craft follow us home one night and it remained above our house until I got bored asking them why they hadn’t come to take me anymore. My mother refused to look up and stormed in the house.

    At puberty I had a serious of intense symbolic dreams which ended up being prophetic which is a discussion itself.

    In some ways I feel “who cares?” What I experienced. But on the other hand why not share it? As I listened to this person- we have a lot in common.

      It took a while for wes to get back to me when I emailed him ,but I’m sure it’s only because there is a ton of people coming out with their stories. You will hear back and after you finally get to talk to him, you will get the relief of being able to tell it to someone who makes you feel comfortable and safe. It took a huge weight off my shoulders and the clarity I got from this cathartic experience actually cleared my mind enough to remember even more detail. I finally feel like I’ve been able to get this off my chest and now I’m free. Hang in there

    I thank you for interviewing this witness and sharing this episode. I am struck by the witness’s grounded authority in relaying the uncanny events of that night and morning and the subsequent visitations. The events are shocking but the witness’s intelligence, sincerity and willingness to share on this welcoming forum while acknowledging it would harm him socially to share outside his trusted circle, for me, speaks to his sanity and credibility. I believe every word.

    We used to target practice at round butte until some idiot bought the house on the hill now acts like the blm around his property is his also. The warm springs reservation and green ridge that connects to sister is all a stones throw from round butte so I can imagine 30 yrs ago this thing would be this close to madras. I doubt they’re this close around here anymore with all the development. Great show

    Great episode! It makes me think back to what the lady in Episode 419 said about the Bigfoot-alien connection. People laugh that one off as being an April Fools joke, but who knows? I wish Corey could get hooked up with a sketch artist. I’d love to see a visual of the creatures he experienced.

    I have a few questions. He’s says there eyes were yellow, were they round or narrow like a cat? Then was the Pupil round or narrow up and down like a cat? There nose and mouth. Did the nose look human, did it stick out or was it flat and what shape was it? Was the mouth big like a Sas or was it a small mouth with the crease that went up to the nose? We’re the ears more on the side of the head or were they on top? How long were the ears? If on the side of the head were they long going above the head? I’m just trying to put a picture in my head and wondered all these things. Thanks

    Wow, Corey’s encounter with his friend was quite something. Those teeth! I wonder if he did see a large sasquash and it was running from those aliens also! I don’t know why the popo had to pepper spray him, seems uncalled for. Would very much appreciate a redo with other witnesses, that’d be amazing. Love to hear from others with similar sightings of these particular ETs. Did larf when his mum mooed but do understand that it must have been terrifying. You do wonder if they either act like the experiencers witness, or they mind control us. Either way, they are out there!

    One of the freakiest stories I’ve ever heard, and by now I’ve heard a few.

    Honestly, these stories sound uncannily like BAD ACID TRIPS to me, or Hound of the Baskerville syndrome. If not for multiple witnesses seeing the same thing, I would write them off as such. But in a similar vein, they might be explained as breakthroughs from the Other World which, like religious visions, can be experienced by more than one person at a time, and are composed of a hodgepodge of unconscious material–like waking, communal dreams or mass psychosis. As experiences, they just don’t seem organized in the same fashion as those from normal, waking consciousness.

    Perhaps they actually were aliens, and aliens simply don’t organize their behavior in a way that mirrors our normal, waking consciousness…I don’t know. Or maybe aliens gas us with a hallucinogen just for fun, or experimentally, to see what happens. Me,Seamus J.C.–all I have is ideas. Shit–Corey himself doesn’t know what all that was.

    Plus, I have to say that the Sam and Dave outro made me want to get up and dance, even though I’m sick and was half asleep from a nap when I heard it. DAMN they could rhythm-and-blues!

    Wes, I’ve got a good buddy I used to work with named Hunter. he told me about the property he lived on as a child and oh man. I’m talk splitting of the veil, Bigfoot on the roof, Indian mounds, oh and the strangest thing he told me was a story about cat man.

There is some UFO guy that has sketched several different alien types that supposedly live on or frequently visit earth. One of them closely resembles what this guest was describing. I cannot remember the guys name was. If I find it , I put up another post. Awesome interview. Love the alien stuff as well.

    I believe these advanced forms are able to travel through light. They can cross dimensions and they understand frequency manipulation, which gives them access to anyone, anywhere—because they’re not limited to a 3-dimensional existence. These catmen were out on a hunt. It’s crazy to think our planet is a recreational place for them to hunt rabbits. Predator and K-PAX vibes for sure.

    Great episode, Wes! The “orb/ball of light” phenomenon is very well documented in Grant Cameron’s book, Charlie Red Star. He spent over a year chasing them in 1975, along with news crews and professional photographers. (Published in 2017 because in the 70’s, nobody would publish a book about “UFO orbs.”) They appeared nightly with great consistency and were observed by thousands of people. Grant even gives a nod to lights reportedly associated with Sasquatch. I consider him the de facto expert on “orbs.” Maybe you could do an interview with Mr. Cameron, Wes! FYI, reports of “cat-like-faced-beings” is not unprecedented – June 7, 1967 in Itajuba, Brazil, documented in Vallee’s book, Passport to Magonia (c. 1969). If you “study” cryptids and UFOs/Beings long enough (50 years, myself), you see patterns of similarity in the phenomenon that blur a line between physical and mystical – not the least issue is observational bias and the language(s) we use to describe an indescribable experience. What we call “aliens” today were “elves, pixies and fairies” in the 1800’s. No shortage of short and very tall hairy beings in the 1800’s, either! In one interview, Mr. Cameron points out that humans “observing orbs” is a lot like teasing a cat with a laser pointer – if they could later report their observations to a “kitty UFO investigator,” they would discuss the object’s color, date, time of day, weather, location (take some measurements), discuss unbelievable speeds and abilities to instantly pop in and out of existence! To which I’m sure the KI would tell the witness cat, “It was swamp gas.” The point is, a cat cannot comprehend how a laser pointer works, just like humans frequently cannot comprehend phenomenon outside our reality. It is also akin to a person developing all the complex physics of aerodynamics after the first time they observe an airplane moving across the sky.

    This retired aerospace engineer was astonished when our Gov admitted some UAP/UFO videos were real, but they do not know what the phenomena is. So I researched the subject, focusing on scientific work. Two books that blew me away were “Abducted” by John Mack, and “Skinwalkers at the Pentagon” by Kelleher, Lacatski, and Knapp. The PhD’s doing the research are not on LSD or mushrooms. They are nerds. I have come to believe that the human mind has a very hard time accepting something we do not understand. We believe what we want to believe, and we sure as Hell do not want to believe this!

    used to think they were all hoaxes, but not now. There is an elephant in the room!
