SC EP:115 The shooting incident

Tonight I will be speaking with two witnesses, one is a tracker from Canada and has spent many years working in the forest. He was replanting trees and was dropped in to a location by helicopter. He came across some human-like tracks but they were not human. Several years later he came across tracks that looked just like the ones he had seen before so he decided to follow them. He saw movement in the wood line and thought it was a grizzly bear but it was walking on two legs. When he got too close, it whistled in the opposite direction from him and that’s when he decided it was time to go.

My second guest had two encounters, one when he was a child and the other encounter was just a few years ago. The more recent encounter involves a shooting incident. The men thought they were shooting a bear until it stood up. The witness describes gorilla like behavior from the creature.

I will also be discussing the police officer incident in Texas.

I counted around 54 you know what I mean from wes’s first guest I just thought it was funny I don’t know if he was a little nervous but I enjoyed his story and I definitely know what he means.

  3. Tyler D

54 you know what i means is not bad.. some shows have hundreds of you knows…. btw, this guy was canadian, but didnt hear him say eh or aboot…nwhats up with that?

    • Steven B

As a transplant from the “Great White North” (Canada) to Texas…the “Eh” is a non-offensive stereo-type of Canadian…some say it, some do not. Kind of like not all people in the south say “Y’all”, eh? 😉 Watch “Bob and Doug McKenzie” (Dave Thomas & Rick Moranis of Second City TV) for good natured poking fun at Canadians. As for the “Aboot” – it is just that most English speaking Canadians pronounce the “ou” sound very quickly whereas Americans draw the “ou” sound out a little longer to make a noticeable difference.

Take off to the Great White North, eh!

      Cheers
      Steve, RGV TX

Road hunting w .22’s!!!.??? Did I hear him right?? “Go ahead and shoot it” …..’Merca…….priceless…..were they challenging themselves by shooting deer in the eyes? The guy sounded legit… But I’m not giving him high scores for hunting techniques or judgement with firearms….

    • Jason M

One of the important rules of shooting a weapon is to ALWAYS know what you are shooting at. And you don’t point a weapon at something unless you intend to kill it. I’m all for the 2nd amendment, but some people just lack the common sense and maturity to own a weapon. You don’t go “plincking ” living things. I agree with Christian…if they thought it was a bear, why the hell were they shooting at it with a .22??

Another Great Show Wes. bro do take some time away for your self and your family. We do appreciate your had work and endless strength, but take time to live your life away from S.C. you and your family most certainly deserve the rest.

It defiantly was worth my contribution to be an annual paid member of Sasquatch Chronicles. I have listened to more terrifying and yet very interesting as well as informative advise, pertaining to Sasquatch and yes, Were –Wolf Like creatures encounters upon Sasquatch Chronicles. I have gained immense knowledge upon how to handle encounters, should I find myself and or my Family in the midst of an encounter within the woods and deserts of America; as we are a game hunting family and travel to explore many states; as well I now know how to keep my dear family safe, as well, I have learned that the U.S. government agency are not to be relied upon for protection of my family and that keeping my family alive while game hunting, gold prospecting and gem prospecting, fishing, camping, tracking, and Mountain ridge – running of Northern Idaho’s Bitterroot mountain ranges, and wilderness of the Pacific North Western States, I will have a licensed Henry Arms 45/ 70 Guide gun lever action slung over my shoulder, as well as a high quality fixed blade military survival warrior knife upon my side, while hunting, fishing and prospecting. Decades past, I would just drop my bedroll down in a grassy meadow of the mountain ranges and sleep under the vast star fields, armed with nothing more than a tin cup, a bear bell and my mountaineering boots. Thanks Wes, for providing us all with great entertainment, survival tech on what not to do and what does works best, during an encounter, and providing us with many wonderful guests / survivors that have survived and endured heart stopping, horrific Sasquatch (types 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as the Bi –pedal Wolf Creatures / encounters, many whom are official Sasquatch Chronicles members.

    – And our hearts and prayers go out to all the families, and spouses to those who have disappeared and never returned back home again, and huge thanks to all the American and UK, and Canadian veterans of all the wars they have bravely fought and sacrificed so much for others for us and for their families. And a huge thanks to all the first nation people of so many tribes that have shared their tribal tales, folklore and personal encounter and knowledge with us here at S.C.. And a thanks to Miss. Legro and to Woody Pratt, of the early days of S.C, and to the moderators and for all of their hard work and immense contributions to Sasquatch Chronicles as well.

-Favorite Henry Arms Field Tech Quote: Be Strong, Be of good courage, God Bless America, Long Live the Republic. Thanks Wes.

@steve b bob and doug yep I used to live in Toronto, I think of geddy lee singing take off to the great white north take off its a beauty way to go, thanks for the memory

  9. Eric Z

What’s up with a Siege of Honobia update!! Does “Mike” still own that property? Are they still there? I still can’t stop thinking about that episode. If the Bigfoot(s) were as brazen as he claims, pictures/videos should have been easy to get.

    • Stacy F

Mike never owned the property, his brother did, and he sold several years ago. They do all still live in the area and the activity continues. And being heavily involved in another very, very active area, I can say that it’s next to impossible to get any kind of quality visual evidence no matter what’s going on.

  10. Heather S

Love listening to your shows but your second guest on tonights show really surprised me. Being a hunter (legal hunter) I was bothered this man openly confessed to poaching, night hunting for deer with a spotlight!! Not to mention telling his partner to shoot at something they couldn’t even identify. Title should have been Poacher shoots at Unknown.
I really enjoyed your first guest’s story, but the poachers story didn’t seem too legit other than his confession.

    • Dave T

Thank you Heather! I posted my opinion of this poacher earlier but my post was taken down. I hope the authorities catch up with these guys. I’m very disappointed my post was taken down for calling like it is.

      • Heather S

Thank you David. I really hope my post is not removed. The guy committed a crime and admitted it. I’m surprised Wes put him on the show, I believe he reviews their story in advance. Sasquatch sighting or not I wouldn’t have put him on the show. A crimes is a crime

    • Heather S

Mark there is no jumping, it is what it is. Wes talks to the guest beforehand to hear their stories, he’s said it before he has to weed out the far fetched ones. So again I’m surprised he put him on the show.

      • Sean C

Speeding is a crime too, but I’m sure nobody here EVER does that. Some people have circumstances to deal with, that may make them make decisions they would rather not make, especially if it means the difference between whether their family eats or not. Good people sometimes have to do bad things, bad people sometimes do good things. Unless one is divine, they are sinners like the rest of us. That’s why we aren’t supposed to judge each other, because NONE of us are perfect! Some people call killing an animal while it’s eating from a food plot that they’ve put out for it all year long, a sport, although I fail to see what is sporting about it. Other people actually kill so called game animals, because they actually have to eat them for survival. Just because this man shared his bigfoot encounter, which is the reason this show has been established, that doesn’t give anyone the moral high ground to be passing judgment on his circumstances of which you know nothing about. Just sharing my 2 cents, since the door has been opened.

Thank you Wes, for another wonderful show, concerning every day people and their bigfoot encounters. Obviously some people would choose not to count this as a worthy account, but a bigfoot encounter is a bigfoot encounter, in my book. I appreciate the facts, and the outcome, just as it has happened. Bravo bro, for yet another wonderful show!

        Chris

    • SmellyHusband

Also I live a hour from start of Alaska hiway and work in some of the areas first guest had encounters . I M just saying maybe he should of expected a encounter around pink mountain . To get there from ab you literally have to drive through a place called sasquatch crossing !

    • Sean C

      Patricia d,
I’m sorry you lost your Bo too! I had a Bo too, that I adopted from a kennel that I worked at years ago. He was a beautiful boy, and I will always miss him!
I believe they will be waiting for us in the next life
      : )
      Chris

  11. Sean C

Aaaaahhhhh! There’s my fix! Thanks brohemian!
Now, just got to relax………kick the feet up………….and off we gooooooooooooooo!

    I love you man!

ATTENTION: An Incredible encounter / Contact Story posted upon Phantoms & Monsters Tonight. – Headered as- “From Crypto Four Corners – Bigfoot Habitation & Close Encounters” _This is the up dated part of the Four corners Sasquatch Tribe
At Four Corners upon Tribal land

From the information I received from Jc, there are several Bigfoot clans in the General area. Another known group includes an older female who has been seen with several juveniles over the years…at one point she had 3 sons traveling with her. It seems that these hominids are not monogamous and that the female, in particular, had bred with several males in a wide migration area.

-Apparently the Juvenile and the other two males stop by the Navaho Families homestead after hunting and bring Zora fresh game kill bones to gnaw upon as she is tied upon the property at night.

-At the present time, photographic evidence is being suppressed. There is much more research required on the various clans within habituation area. This is also tribal land…and all respects to the privacy and customs of its resident must be maintained.

-I have just tonight discovered that there is a Navaho family that is in semi contact with a family (None – monogamous (Sasquatch) hominid pod three Sasquatch one 12 foot, one 10 and an 8 foot Juvenile, all three males. The Navaho woman and her pet Dog Zora were riding upon her four wheeler on the family homestead when she stopped noticing tall dark shadows within the trees, she was approached. The 10 foot tall male hominid whistled and Zora came over and laid down by the Juvenile’s feet, then the Juvenile Bigfoot reached out and rubbed the dogs ears lovingly. The Pod has been studied for 8 seasons. There are many Photographic images which are stated to be they have been Suppressed, as there is much more studies to be done upon the larger tribe. You can read of the entire account and encounter as it is posted upon Phantoms & monsters. 6 / 19/ 2015. I claim no ownership of this information and have posted in part for educational information. Perhaps Wes, you can interview this Navaho family, the Sister og George, with all respects presented and honored.

  13. Papa - Yeti

correction it was the tallest – the 12 foot tall Male Sasquatch that whistled for Zora the Dog to come over, the 8 foot Youngest is said to draw upon rocks. The female that is always with the children and juvenile Sasquatches appears to be the Group Nanny – they have been studied for 8 years now, there are a lot of photographic images, that have been tagged as “Suppressed” from the public eye. as they feel it is a tender situation, a delicate study as to not disrupt the tribe which has made the region its home, it is upon Privet Navaho land.

  14. Chance E

I guess I should have lied and said I was doing something besides road hunting but I didn’t want to miss lead people about what happened sorry to everyone who is upset.

    • Dave T

Chance, you’re not just road hunting, you’re poaching. No where in the country are you allowed to hunt deer with a 22 and at night with a spotlight. I’m not doubting your encounter but your ethics as an outdoorsmen. I’m a hunter and don’t appreciate people that cheat and cast an ugly shadow on this sport. You don’t have to lie if you do the right thing. I hope you and your partner don’t continue this practice. There’s no good that comes from it and I would hope you’d appreciate the wildlife we have and privilege to participate in this sport which has been taken away in other countries. Remember, it’s not about the kill or conquest but the experience and special moments you have out there in the wilderness.

        • Dave T

Michael, don’t make an asinine statement when you have no idea what I’m about. The last thing I am is a hippie flute player. I’m pro 2nd amendment and have lots of guns and stand toe to toe against tree hungers. I will also stand up when it comes to protecting our wildlife from whatever threatens it no matter what side it comes from.

          • michael s

ok pal whatever you say. some good ole boy bagging a couple deer for the freezer once in a blue moon is hardly “unethical” in my eyes.

      • Chance E

At no time did I say what I was doing was legal nor did I say that I was not poaching. I was strickly gathering meat I was not looking for sport just breakfast lunch and dinner. As for my ethics I never considered killing an animal a sport more of a part of life.

        • Dave T

Chance, obviously you don’t get it when you call it “gathering meat.” You and I both know what it is and we both know it’s illegal. Apparently from your response you have every intention of continuing your poaching. I don’t buy into the idea of you’re doing this as a means of survival. This isn’t the the days of the pilgrims when people had to hunt to survive. Your reasons for doing it are all lame and someday you and your buddy will pay the price for “gathering meat” or whatever you want to call poaching.

          • Chance E

I don’t remember asking for your approval of what I was doing I had my reasons none of which I feel like I should explain to you sense apparently you are so much better then everyone else.

          • Dave T

I’m not better than everyone else but I do have a code of ethics that I go by while in the outdoors one of which is called “fair chase” which you obviously never heard of. Deer don’t have much of a chance against a spotlight and a rifle at night but you already know that. I’m not gonna kiss your ass because you had an encounter with a squatch. When someone is wrong, I’m the kind of person that will speak up. There’s no gray area here, you’re a poacher and you know it even if you like to paint a different picture. Hopefully you’ll pay the piper one day.

          • Chance E

how did I painted a different picture did I say I wasn’t poaching and I never asked you to kiss my assI think you’re just a internet troll who likes to try and pick everyone apart

          • Dave T

Chance, when you call poaching “gathering meat,” that’s spinning it like you aren’t doing anything wrong. I’m not on here calling you a hoaxer or a liar. Your encounter sounded legit, so I’m not picking anyone apart other than how you acquire your deer meat. I’ll tell you that at the supermarket, bait shop, or the local tavern. Just so happens it came up here on the Internet. I’m very supportive of people that come forward with their encounters. If someone robs a bank and encounters a Bigfoot making their getaway, does that make robbing the bank any less of a crime or in some way ok? I have a problem with what you were doing, not your encounter. You don’t get it so I’m done with you.

  15. Chad W

The “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” bit was hysterical, Wes! Loved the randomness of it and the fact that with the first three choices being Sasquatch he picked B. Great stuff! By far my favorite parts of the week is listening to this show! Best show ever. And that’s my final answer.

  16. michael s

One of the better episodes in a while… listening to Chance almost felt like i was listening to coast to coast AM back when it was still cool and Art Bell had the bigfoot shooter on air

  17. Esther P

Papa Yeti is correct in this info from Crypto 4 Corners, JC & crew… including Lon Strickler at Phantoms and Monsters.. I follow all of them as friends on FB & especially since JC & crew are not too far away from where I live. Great bunch of people.. just like Wes & crew at SC!

  18. wolfheathen

Wes…I’ve noticed a couple times, people like your second guest on this episode, mentioning they wish they could draw In order to get some sense of permanence to what’s in their memory. If it helps, I’ll offer my services to anyone in need, black and white illustrations….free of charge. Never enough time for everything… *sigh*. =)

  19. Andrew B

Wolfheathen, I’d love to see some of your artwork. Where can I? I posted a message saying I’ll try to recreate what someone saw – ( and I don’t want payment either. ) But
My post says “awaiting moderation” so I can’t tell if you can see it or not.

    • wolfheathen

      Cool Andrew!

Well I f there’s a way to private msg me direct on this site I’ll gladly fb ya. Just hate leaving email addresses on public forums. Sometimes I’ll post and share work on fb, but not doing a lot of drawing these days so no website at the moment.

It’ sh ust that every time I hear someone lament not being able to draw what they saw…I feel like I should help if I can! I’m sure you understand that too! =)

  20. Seamus J. C

My bullshit detectors rarely go off as people tell their encounters, and I like to think I have a good one. Credible detail, and often lack of detail: the thing about the fur soaking up the light, the inability to see the face that time, and the originally thinking it was 4 ft. tall because Chance didn’t realize it was in a ditch….I did have a question, though: if it took several steps forward, does that mean it left the ditch, or was it moving along the ditch as it moved forward? Or was it moving transverse to the course of a very wide ditch?

Great show. I appreciate Dave’s comments about the poaching, as well as Chance’s honesty and his apparent acceptance of Dave’s point of view (despite some initial defensiveness). Thank you both.

  21. schlad

I Love hearing, good, honest people tell their on real Life stories. No spin, no bs, just straight as they saw and felt it..a breath of fresh air in in todays ‘Truth free’ World. Thank you everyone who shares, it’s great to know we are still awesome, even if our society and it’s so called leaders are a joke.
Love and Peace for everyone, everywhere, always!
