SC EP:107 Terrorized By Aggressive Giants

Le Flore County is located along the eastern border of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The name honors a Choctaw family named LeFlore. Reports dating from the 1850´s say that Southeast Oklahoma has been a hunting ground for Bigfoot. According to stories, the area was terrorized by aggressive giants who not only stole locals vegetables to eat, but also stole their children.

The Choctaw Indians were known as exceedingly strong, fierce warriors, but in 1855 they experienced something which none would ever forget.

I also speak with Cato who is a member of the Nez Perce Tribe. He shares with us some stories from his family and other members of the tribe. If you have had an encounter, email me at wes@sasquatchchronicles.com

I wish I had a pool! I can only afford a little rubber one, but here on the coast of WA it’s not very worm! It’ bigfoot country here, and they love it here. I wonder if they observe Memorial Day? Get the family together, kill a deer, gather salmon berries, roots, grouse, and still some beer out of some campers cooler! Good to go bro! Party on squatches. Then at night scream, and scare the crap out of the campers! LOL

Tracy.if you can do it..boy you are my Man! Yours was the most heart wrenching, real..no man has ever seen them from 2 feet from their face…NOBODY! Just think about it..love

I’m very impressed with the direction you’re taking the show Wes. It’s an amazing feeling to be along for the ride. You should pick up the shout outs again. I’m just so glad that you didn’t wanna give up on SC. N not only that but you took the show to a whole other level. This show has done a lot more for me, n I’m sure the rest of the listeners, than I think you’ll ever realize. You say that you’re not out curing cancer, which is true, but what you are doin is important to a lot of people. SC FOR LIFE! THANKS FOR F SHACK- DIRTY MIKE N THE BOYS

Since Wes will be here in Dallas maybe some of locals with encounters can do the TV stuff. As far as finding bones. Growing up we had a cabin in the woods. A lot of woods 1000’s of government acres and I never found bones of the big cats. The place was about 65 miles due south of Honobia

  4. Jim D

Wes, It sounds like you could really use some help with the shows. To put together the story segments, utilizing all of the sound effects and music not to mention all of the research that has to go into just a short segment like the one you started the show with and then still have to wade through all of the calls and determining who is real and who is full of it for the broadcast and then have to do it. Man bro, you were really put at a disadvantage when those 3 people bailed on you. Woody is obviously still let’s just say “not ready” but you really need a co-host Wes especially now with the TV stuff you want to move into. Hey even Peter Gibbons had Michael Bolton and Samir to help him with his Initech scheme. The show’s Milton character could be played by Ray The Spaceman.

    • Janetta V

Jim D, I thinking, since the show is so great, maybe Wes has help and the listeners just don’t know about them. Wes sure has not ask for help or complained about it.

  5. ICEMAN

there is a laflore in south east oklahoma and the story too night is true. this is wear honabie is and have done a lot of sasquath there have two sighting there. a real Hot spot there in the kimiche range. oklahoma and ark .

  6. Frankie P

Great show. Native Americans know this stuff. Where there is a story, there is always something to be learned from them it seems. Very nice young man. Really like the way you did the first story – just awesome.

  7. David R

I’m listening to this, and watching The Cannibal in the Jungle! What a weird movie, and I wonder if it really happened. It makes you really think that a Sasquatch really do hunt people! I hope that Wes gets on TV, and Woody also!

    • Tristene M

Just watched Cannibal in the jungle. So sad for that innocent man. He has video and audio proof! Alma’s by any other name is still such. I almost cried when they said he had died 9 months before the film was uncovered that vindicated him. It not only vindicates him it also vindicates people who know Sasquatch is real. These are squatchlets. Itsy bitsy little vicious bipedal hairy human like animals. That poor poor man.

    • Mark B

David R, I watched cannibal in the jungle also and wondered the same so I checked it out. It all fictional. There was no Timothy Darrow. They just took the fact that they found bones of the “Hobbit” and the locals still have sightings then created a mocumentary around it all. It was very deceiving. Remember the mermaid documentary? Something like that.
And don’t forget it’s Monster week on the animal planet network.

  8. Tyler D

One of the main reasons we don’t come across a sasquatch carcass is that mother nature cleans up after herself. It’s honestly quite incredible how quickly a body decomposes in the forest. There’s a mineral in the soil of the forest that rapidly quickens the decomposition process impressively

  9. Diane L

I agree with Jim. The others who bailed on you didn’t contribute at all to the show anyway. The show is better now! Good luck with your TV endeavor, Wes. And great show tonite.

  10. Andrew L

Alright, can somebody help me here? I’m trying to find the episode where a younger sounding guy, maybe late 20’s early 30’s, talked about having an encounter at a camp where he was with a bunch of other kids. He said he and a friend snuck off one night to smoke a cigarette while the rest of the kids were sitting by a campfire with a counselor/teacher. Can’t remember if he said it was a summer camp or a school trip to a camp. Anyway, he said something like he and his friend ran into a large lighter colored sasquatch carrying the front half of a dead dog. I think he also might have said he took a different friend out to an area to camp for the night in an area where he thought these creatures would be and they had a couple creatures bluff charge them or something while they were in their tent. He said his friend had no idea that he brought him out there in the hopes of seeing a sasquatch. Said his friend was freaking out and they didn’t sleep all night. I’m not sure but that might have been a different guy but I’m sure it was the same episode. If somebody could help me out here I’d appreciate it. I e-mailed Wes earlier this week but I assume he’s pretty busy.

I enjoy the shows more now that you are on your own! You do a way better job interviewing now that you lead the whole show. I wish you all the best and of course Woody too! Have a great Memorial Day! God bless

  12. JAMES B

    Wes,
I agree with everyone in that you may start needing help so as not to burn out. I officially offer my services, even if remote’ being I’m north of Philadelphia. I have lots of free time and am well versed with people and interviews. Have a great speaking voice as well if it ever came to that. 20 years behind a bar teaches you a lot about reading people and putting people at ease, especially if fish in for tips….:-)
    Jim B

  13. Janetta V

Wes, I don’t get it. These people that say you should get some help. Do they mean the show is lacking or are they worried about you? If you would like some help, I wish you the best in your search. What I know is the shows are better than ever and the background sounds are so good, they make it more dramatic and put ones emotions right on the story. AAA+++

    • Jim D

No, I’m not saying that the shows are “lacking” nor am I criticizing the job that Wes does here as for the reason that I believe he needs help Jan. As a musician and a songwriter I have experience with online recording as well as doing a lot of research on the subject of Sasquatch with it being a hobby of mine. I know how long it takes just to wade through the garbage (hoaxers, YouTube smart alecks etc.) as well as how many takes are needed just creating tracks. Then to have to put that all down and go through the whole process of doing a radio show and all of the prep that that entails it’s a real big work load. That’s not even taking into account if Wes has a “real” job or not, a wife of girlfriend who also needs attention paid to her. That’s why I say that losing Shannon was the biggest loss; at least she was able to do a couple of shows by herself a week and was starting to get better at them. Also, remember that even she was looking for help, and that Dave guy was supposed to be her assistant, unfortunately he turned out to be useless.

  14. Papa - Yeti

My Mother, she was a very beautiful woman, and aren’t all mothers of such great kindness and beauty? She was of the Caddo people, upon her maternal side, and her grandfather was of the French, he migrated from northern France upon a sailing ship in the year of 1840. Her people the Caddo were indigenous of the entire region of which you and Bob Garret are searching out the creatures down in Texas, as well of Arkansas, Louisiana, and the Lower Oklahoma region to include Honobia, OK. Upon my mother’s side we have centuries of residing in this region centuries before the removal act of 1830 of the Eastern Indian tribes, which brought the arrival of the Cherokee, Choctaw, and the other tribes forced to reside upon created reservation upon my mother’s people’s home land. The Caddo people, it was their lands originally. So Wes, it is the Caddo old tribal people you want to talk to, the elders, with great respect kept in mind, it is the elders who still have the past centuries tales the lesson told of those encounters, by their parents and grandparents, but most of the elders will not speak English as they were beaten in white school to do so, as the children were beaten if they spoke their native dialect. As many Indians will not speak English and will only speak their native dialect. So you will, fist through respect contact the younger Caddo Indian people. The Caddo people would build very high wooden (Pointed Log) fences to surround their houses in their villages from being attacked at night. To keep their crops from being raided and their woman and children being stolen.

      Papa – Yeti,
      I enjoy reading your comments:)
I’m new to Sasquatch Chronicles, maybe you have
had an interview with Wes or maybe not?
Your stories I would like to hear/read more of.

      Wes,
      You’re doing a great job!
I enjoyed listening to Cato, he is brave to speak for his
      people. I believe him too!

  15. Gary C

I really enjoyed this episode, I love hearing old stories of bravery and overcoming of the odds, it brings back faith in the human spirit after watching the news of today.

  16. Jayne B

Wes, I think whatever happened with Will, Shannon and Dave was a blessing in disguise. You had a great show before, but you are taking it to another (better) level. Great job!

    • Jim D

That Dave guy? You mean the one who missed his first 3 or 4 shows and then the extent of his SC contribution was to cough incessantly on air. IMO, Shannon was the biggest loss.

  17. Pat T

Wes, congrats on moving on to TV! Please take the time needed to produce a quality show. Whatever it takes make it feel spontaneous, compelling not contrived. I would hate to see you lose viewership over something that was put together to fast for the sake of getting it on air on time. There is already one show out there that does its best to make sure we don’t believe the subject exists. Your followers here a patient gruop who will take quality anyday over quantity. This is my opinion only and I wish you only the best in this endeavor.

  18. david s

I tend to tune out to people that mainly tell second hand stories because these experiences are easy to expand on and untruths usually creep in. Personally, the first hand accounts are much more believable. With that said, thank you so much Wes for having a Native American on…please have more if possible.
That Cannibal in the Jungle show was very good! I wonder how much, if any was true?

    • Jim D

I know, we’re starting to hear people repeating back to Wes stories that he talked about on previous shows. “Yea I heard about bigfoots eating their own dead” Yea you did, ON SASQUATCH CHRONICLES!

  19. david s

I never thought of BF eating their dead. I must say after hearing/reading hundreds of BF stories, these guys are that warped to do that. I read somewhere from someone who had BF experience that he saw BF bury a dead BF under a tree. The BF dug up a tree, root ball and all, buried the BF, covered him up with the dirt and root ball and spread leaves over the area. He said when the BF was done, you could never tell that tree was uprooted and replanted. Has anyone ever heard of this kind of behaviour?

  20. Damon M

I did some further research on the Indians encounter – seems the .50 rifle spoken of did not come out until 1872.
Also, the original event never included Sasquatch. Seems more research is in order…always important to check internet sources more than once.

    • Janetta V

Damon, These .50 rifles were pilot jobs from the company, They were given to these indians as a trial to see if they would work on great big critters. Since they did work and all the squatch were killed, then later the company started to mass produce them. I did my history.

  21. Christopher c

Great show Wes – the shoot for the head part reminds me of the walking dead I love it. BTW walking dead is about all I can handle in the Sci- Fi world all the other stuff I won’t touch, the only reason I can identify with walking dead is because I live in the city and I know if there is a major problem-earthquake or flood we will be in gridlock and unprepared -just like Mad max ,escape from N.Y. and walking dead. SASQUATCH CHRONICLES IS THE ONLY SHOW I GO THROUGH WITHDRAWS FROM BESIDES THE WALKING DEAD I LOVE IT!

  22. Christopher c

Iv’e heard that Natives considered Sasquatch a separate tribe but this is the first time that i heard it based on the fact that they walk in the same single file fashion that the natives practiced-NOW IT MAKES TOTAL SENSE THE YELLOWSTONE VIDEO SHOWS SUSPECT SASQUATCH CREEPING IN SINGLE FILE FASHION UP TO THE BUFFALO ,WHAT CATO IS SAYING NOW MAKES PERFECT SENSE THAT THE YELLOWSTONE FOOTAGE MAY BE GENUINE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRurxAtiLkM

  23. Christopher c

WARRIORS UP FRONT TO DEAL WITH ANY DANGER, YOUNGIN’S IN THE MIDDLE FOR PROTECTION, AND THE ELDERLY TO THE BACK TO KEEP THE YOUNG FROM FALLING BEHIND! THIS MAKES PERFECT SENSE,SASQUATCH MAKE GOOD PARENTS!

  24. Papa - Yeti

Thank you for so many awesome Shows WES, you’re surpassing even your own expectations, as you are very talented and committed to your passion of the topic at hand. You’re very good at your studies and presentations, You both are naturals at it, as you’ve come a long ways from the documentary made with the British Videographer, which was made very well I must say. Great shows here by you and your staff members Wes. Cheers.

Debbie C. your words are felt and very kindly spoken, both, and are welcomed and appreciated. I do have vast documentation upon my family going many generation back, our tribe was of the Huron Nation. we are now tribal members of the Cherokee Nation.

  25. Damon M

    Janetta –
Thanks for the input and the spirit in which it was given.
I only want the work being done here to be credible because of the uphill battle that all of us are facing as supporters of this show and the work being done by Wes and others into the squatch and dogman questions . The overwhelming testimonies seem credible but supportive follow-up by us the listeners should be part of the revealing process. That’s how we can help. Then when new light is shown it can become part of the narrative and overall evidence before the bodies arrive – the ultimate solution to the questions.

Dude! I spent my childhood with my Grandparents, every summer, in LeFlore County!
Much of that time was spent out in the woods, and even though I don’t remember seeing a sasquatch, I know they are there!
Thanks Wes, for another awesome show brother!
Looking forward to seeing you in Texas

    Chris

  27. Robert V

I could be wrong but I believe one of the accounts in the 411 books or it was a testimony from one of his broadcasts; was of a woman ranger disappearing who worked at one of these fire towers. I’d be freaked out if a Sasquatch walked into my tent or cabin with me. What was the Sasquatch’s intent? Simply frightening. Kind of blows away the theory a Sasquatch is a miss identificaton of a “figment” of a persons imagination. Makes all those college professors and all those scientists who never leave their classrooms and labs awful foolish. About “evidence” , it’s simple, the evidence is hidden in universities and museums. It wouldn’t shock me if the Smithsonon knows exactly what these are and have more than one sample. I believe they’ve been shot by citizens but ther bodies disappear when the national guard or some other government agency takes the body. Our government follows many species of animals. With drones, technology, and ground work I believe they know exactly where the hot spots are. I personally believe the lights surrounding these Sasquatch are drones; the US military versions are NOT going to be knocked out of the sky. I’m not saying all of the lights are drones but a good number of them. Most of these idea’s are theories but it explains a lot and it’s very plausable.

Wes your doing a good job.

    Bob

  28. Andrew B

Wes, PLEASE remind your guests to speak INTO THE PHONE so they don’t sound like they’re underwater. So frustrating when we’re trying to hear every word.

  29. Kim

Great show Wes! Your creative direction in the historical account was brilliant. I was emotionally hooked! Your voice is soothing yet dramatic. Well done. Cato was very interesting, and he said things I hadn’t heard. I love the historical aspect that features indigenous people. There’s truth to it.

Do you need supportive help? I have time to volunteer for a worthy cause, especially one I stand behind.

Open guestion off topic. What is a pingback/trackback? Should I be worried about them and if so how do I get rid of them? What are they for?

    Thanks ,
    Kim in N. Idaho
