SC EP:100 The Hunter or The Hunted

The show is available now! Sorry for the delay, technical issues….

Tonight I speak to a professional game hunter with over 40 years of experience in tracking and hunting wildlife. David said, “I was trying out a new call to call in a predator and I saw what looked like a bear coming in on four legs about 400 yards out. It was coming right to me. At about 200 yards I realized this was not a bear, at 100 yards this thing stopped, smelled the air and stood up on two legs….I focused on it with my scope…I have a very detailed description on what I saw and I am not sure this was a Bigfoot I think it was something else..”

I also will be speaking to a gentleman who grow up around a property that had many strange encounters. He says that the family would find dead animals around the property like a bobcat that had been ripped in half. He would find strange tracks. One night they found out what was making the tracks and killing the local wildlife when a creature came to his back door. The same night the mother had an encounter on her way home from work.

My last guest is Tara, who had two separate encounters but the one that has stuck with her is when she was at her husband’s grandparents’ for the weekend. She was taking a bath when she noticed a figure watching her from the window. She thought it was her husband playing a joke but soon realized it was NOT her husband and that the window where she saw the figure was 8 feet off of the ground.

Have you listed to dogman encounters radio? you will not have any doubts that these creatures exist in number, I am glad I am in the uk, still feel safe in the woods here, think there has been a sighting in Scotland though.

        • HubietheSaint

Also a great show and not a competitor but a brother adding to the info and helping people with sightings to get them off their chest and that their not crazy. Another great show

        • erin f

dogman radio is ok, but the host is a bit difficult to digest, imho. he should just be himself, instead of trying so hard to have a cool radio voice with odd articulations and strange inflections… He does sll tshirts tho, while i woulsnt buy one, i would consider a sasquatch chronicles tee.

          • Shannon D

You definitely have to get used to Vic’s voice, but if you can get past it, the stories are very interesting. And screw Will Jevning…I think dogman does not deserve to be lumped in with bigfoot.

Congrats on the 100th show Wes, this sounds like a awesome lineup of interviews, I cannot wait, thanks again for everything and if it can be posted eastern time as well many kudos to ya bro.

  2. Sean C

Thanks Wes! Hope you are having a great weekend! The next time you come to Texas, you should schedule some time to meet fans of the show, and maybe spend some time out in the woods with us, for those who are interested.

I appreciate all of the time that you put into this, even during your weekends. I have learned more here, than anywhere else. Some of the bigfoot podcasters, seem to like hearing their own voices, and doing way too much bantering of their own. They get very hard to listen to sometimes, and most times I don’t bother. Thank you for being you, and your efforts! You have the finest show there is on bigfoot, at least in my opinion : )

    Chris

I guess I’ll pound down a handful of xanax to get ready! Last night, my 4 grown children were over, they howled over the monkey kicking the boy and watched it at least 50 times! My youngest son in law, an avid mushroom hunter, absolutely poured over the site. Thank you Wes, for your mature handling of the attack, it’s obvious, we have a better show now, though, I do miss Shannon. Oops! here comes my old lady- got to hide this!

  4. JAMES B

  8. Pat T

Congrats Wes on 100 shows!, for the last year and half getting up Monday morning and anticipating a new guest has been a thrill to say the least. Monday’s can be a bummer for sure but this show helps pick me up every time. Glad you hung in there and for sure keep it coming! You’ve had some real interesting guests on lately and your interviewing skills are getting better with each one. Was curious if Les Stroud is a possibility or David Paulides to help kick off the next 100? Thanks again, money well spent

  9. Charles K

Wes, congratulations on 100 shows! Wow can’t believe it. I have enjoyed every one. Thank you for hanging in there when you probably were in despair when the doubters attacked. Tonights show looks great. Can’t wait.

  10. mark s

Survivorman bigfoot, anyone have any more info on the possible background bigfoot images caught on Les’s camera on his episodes, it looked like a juvenile in a tree and possible mother on the ground below over his left shoulder also while he is crossing a river is another one. If you have not seen this, do a survivorman search. Just interested if there has been anymore research into the caught images.

  11. PATRICK

Wes..CONGRATULATIONS. .I was so concerned for a short time that we could loose you. .since then your raw professionalism..that is.. unpolluted…is astounding..THX.

      Wes
I starting listening to the show a couple of months ago. I started from your first episode and now am at your 100th broadcast. Enjoying the show and will continue til I catch up.
Loving this and can’t wait to catch up.

      Phil

  15. Tyler D

Wes, I can’t really put into words how much you’ve done for me with this website n every other viewer as well. Because of you I feel like I’ve found my calling. I’ve always believed you’ve been a very honest straight forward person and you’ve always given an honest n truthful perspective on the subject. And in this topic honesty is a hard thing to find. You’ve told like it is, these animals are wild animals n needed to be treated as such and you have done your very best to make people more aware of this. I do honestly believe that Sasquatch Chronicles will play a significant roll in this subject finally getting out there to the general public. You have been giving people hope and relief since episode 1. N if there were more people out there like you I believe that a lot more individuals would be much more comfortable coming forward with their encounters. I think you have done much more for this topic than you’ll ever understand. And I am extremely grateful to be a part of it. You are a great honest straight forward man n thank you for creating Sasquatch Chronicles for all us

  16. James G

Damn Straight we love this. You actually can’t know how committed we all are to you and the show. Well done doesn’t cut it,,,cause no one ever has done what you’ve done. You re-inveted the internet/podcast. I went back and have been listening to old shows,,,,I’m sure , after review. This format is way better than the old. If trolls and others can’t pick up on it,,,,,WE FANS DON’T GIVE A RAT”S A,,, ABOUT THE DRAMA. WE LOVE THE SASQUATCH CHRONICLES<<<BOTTOM LINE!!!!! Much love and Prayers from you Hoosier Brother!

  17. Agnes B

Wes, Congratulations to you and your brother Woody. The two of you had a vision and it has come to pass. I am so glad you decided to push on. This is the best place to be on Sunday nights. I agree with you that this brings to mind the old radio days when people would tune in for their weekly shows. Congrats again. Looking forward to another 100 shows.

  18. Gabriel H

Question: is it just me or has anyone else heard the interview with the second fella already…? I’m a little bit weirded out. I often have an episode of SC in my ears while I go about my day buuuuuut… I new the details of the second fella’s interview – his sister lifted the cat in her left hand… I knew that the creature was looking down into the window, that she wondered where all the light outside had been, and that he was going to say that his sister described a reddish glow to the eyes… etc…

Where is this coming from? Did this happen with anyone else?

    Thanks

  19. Kim

100 milemarker! All on your own, and better than ever before. You made this huge feat all on your own! Im so proud of you! You have held it together and did a fantastic job! And proved all the naysayers wrong!!!

  20. Frankie P

Congratulations! Great podcast. Man, that “hunter” was really impressed by the canine thing. I hope we hear more from him someday. And the others…. eerie. Wes is the podcast king!

  21. Debbie C

    Bills bigfoot sighting…
Redding California is two hours away from me, I’m in Chico.
It’s alarming learning about these eye witness accounts.
I wonder what brought bigfoot here?
Where did these creatures come from?

    • Christopher c

In the Pacific Northwest I believe these creatures have always been here, some people think that they came over the Bering land bridge because of some Gigantopithicus bones found in China but really there is no proof of that at least not yet, there are all kinds of Bigfoot like creatures all over the world but I think ours is exclusive to our forests in the PNW,bottom line you are very close to Bills and my encounter, I didn’t get to see mine but I have always wondered what on earth weighed as much as a cow or horse but walked on two legs was following me for a 1/4 of a mile down a logging rd. one night and in a separate incident but only a mile from the first ,me and some teenagers were ran out off the dam we were having some beers on after we played a song with animal noises late at night when a creature came screaming bloody murder louder than a fire engine in our direction so fast we knew if we didn’t high tail it back to my moms PG&E cabin we were going to pay the price! it was this same dam that spills into the Pit River that eventually winds down to the Pit River arm of Shasta lake it was the Pit River arm of the lake that Bill was mentioning in his report,in fact there is 3 separate Devils canyons and two Devils mountains in this general 30 sq. miles, there are still Sasquatch in those mountains but because all the pot hippies with all their trash moved in up there ,I think the Sasquatch have moved farther into more remote areas of the back country now.

  22. Brian R

Wes….you the man. Well done sir and congratulations.
I like the format that seems to be evolving. One suggestion…no biggie…take it or leave it. Perhaps before having the guest go right into their encounter ask them for a quick bio and the general location for perspective. Thanks man…keep up the good work.

  23. Derek G

I’m grateful you started this show Wes and that I was able to find it. It has given me so much info on a subject that has intrigued me for years but also a healthy awareness of what is out there when out in the woods up here in Canada moose hunting. Thanks for adding sanity of judgement to the topic.

  24. Terry R

Nice job Wes. Congrats on number 100. Ha! you hit the nail on the head when you said that it’s like old time radio. Can’t wait for the next show.

  25. Scott P

The worst part of the show is, when it ends and you know there are days left til the next… I guess I’m a Sas junkie but, thank you for being there for us all. Much respect.

  26. Norita B

Can’t add any more good comments – they’ve all been said. Here’s to the 101st!

Well one comment – barely gettin’ my head around Sasquatch existing, so these Dogman sightings are just freakin’ me the “h#|€”
out !!! The evolution chain thing gets more perplexing as more encounters come to the surface.

Ahhhhh – run fer the hills – no, wait!
Yes run! No – I can’t move, I’m frozen in place!!!

  27. Scott P

Just a thought…. What if it killed the Bobcat to prevent its entertainment of watching the kids , or I guess in a less Flute player manor , just to run off another predator ?

  28. anthony t

congrats on the 100th show wes,Ive been with you since the beginning.and .i really look forward to each and every show.thank you for all your hard work in getting this information out to everyone….thank you wes.

  30. Teresa V

Congratz on episode 100! I look forward to every one. I live in Oklahoma, and it does not bother me too much that Bigfoot is here in my state, however I can’t say that about this big canine type creature. That really freaks me out. When I was a young girl, most likely somewhere between 10 and early teens, my sister and a couple of cousins saw a tombstone that read “Killed by a Wearwolf”. I remember us laughing about how silly it was that someone put that on a tombstone. Now I’m not thinking it was so silly. I just can’t remember which graveyard we saw this in. I’ve asked my sister, and one cousin, and they can’t remember it. I may have to go looking around this summer to see if I can find it . I’d like to take a picture if I can find it. I’m pretty sure it has to be in one of two graveyards. One is an old Indian graveyard on my uncle’s ranch and the other is in an old historical area in Southeastern Oklahoma called Boggy Depot.

  31. Shaun W

Congratulations from down under mate… Hang in there, the trolls will soon find that they belong under the bridge.

Best out there in the field of the big hairy man… we got a youtube show here in Oz called yowie hunters. Sure you have already seen it but for others, have a look.

  32. Jim D

Wait a minute, red flag moment at 13:40, when David said; “My dad had taken me to see the Roger Patterson film when it came out in the 70’s” The Patterson – Gimlin film was never in some kind of movie release, I’d like to know how and where he was able to view the PGF, because the only place I ever remember seeing anything about it was in this magazine that my father used to get called Argosy and it may have also been shown in Life magazine too, but I never saw it on TV and certainly never saw anything about it in any of the movie theaters back in the mid-to late 60’s or the early to mid 70’s either. In fact I think the first thing about the paranormal that I remember coming out in “movie form” was Chariots Of The Gods which came out in 1970.

  33. Jeffrey C

    Outstanding show Wes!
I’ve been a hunter and fisherman since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I live in Virginia and in the summer float fish the upper James river. And camp on the islands. I’ve been taking my boys since they were in diapers. Their is a railroad track that follows the river from the mountains to the sea. And my oldest son had a encounter when he was about 11 years old. I’ll never forget what happened on that day, as well he being at such a young age. Up on the river on the railroad tracks.
We also hunt up in the mountains in George Washington national forests. I’ve had the opportunity to hunt up there since I was a young boy. Lots of time by myself hunting squirrels as well deer. Their have been many times that I had the feeling that someone or for better words (something ) was watching me! And I can tell ya that it wasn’t moonshiners. Because I know most of them! That being said! The service that you have done people that hunt or hike by themselve. That is huge that is if they are wise. Because I feel that with the explosion in deer population, it’s bringing these things into the more popular areas. The suburbans and towns and cities. So please people don’t put you head in the sand. Like Wes I know with out a shadow of a doubt that these dam things are real and will kill you. These things aren’t your kissing cousins!

  34. Joan P

Congratulations on the 100th! A wonderful show with a great host. I love the way you handle the guests and guide the questions.Keep up the great work Wes! I really feel you are on the cutting edge of something big!

  35. Danny A

CONGRAGULATIONS ! Hope you are able to bring us a thousand more ,Wes. I took your advice when we spoke and you had me on the program , things have really calmed down . I am still learning more each time I go into the woods day or night . had a event while out calling a couple weeks ago we can hunt coyotes at night here , get in touch when possible would like to share . Y’all do so much for us viewers, listeners , and those of us who know and deal with the knowledge of these beings existence Great show keep it , appreciate your hard work .

  36. Stephen N

Cat Daddy Wes, I like the way this the show is going. I look forward to every episode. Who cares about TV. This is where it”s at. Keep it up , we are right behind you……………..

  37. joshua l

What a milestone! Through the times sasquatch chronicles has persevered and been the frontrunner of encounter stories. Can’t say how appreciative that we the listeners are for your dedication to awareness for people and solid testimony-based entertainment. I firmly believe people have stayed safe in the woods due in part to the information you’ve made available. People years from now will look back and say “well sasquatch chronicles had it right.” Just wanted to say thank you Wes and congrats! Keep up the good work. Oh and BTW a paid Texas expedition would be great as someone already suggested. Just a thought…take care. -Josh

  38. william g

I would just like to say how much I enjoy this show and the good people who post since the forum is gone.As a 53 yr old single, there’s nothing better to coming home ,sitting and having a few beers and listening to this show.I have literraly gotten up and pulled the shades down,I have been so creeped out by some of these stories.I don’t know for sure if BF is real,if he’s not,we have a lot of common folk out there who should be writing scripts for horror movies.Like many others I hope to be around for the next hundred and Wes it really says a lot about your character in the way you’ve handled the”meltdown”. The “implosion theorists” have had to eat crow.

  39. Christopher c

I know exactly what creature the second guest bill was talking about,I had my two first encounters with the creatures that inhabit this area and after asking the locals and a friend who has lived in Big Bend for almost 50 years told me it goes way back, the local Indians and settlers called it the “Pit River Devil”.

  40. Christopher c

I got out the tape measure and California road atlas for scale and my first two encounters on SASQUATCHCHRONICLES EP:60 happened less than 15 miles as the crow flies from where the second guest Bill’s family lived off Ca. U.S. hwy.299——–Ep: 60! and Ep: 100! go together like a hand and glove! great job Wes!

  41. Christopher c

Thank you Wes the second guest Bill -this was the AA meeting I have been waiting for!you don’t know how much justice bill’s report has done for me! thank you thank you thank you!

  42. stephen m

Happy 100th ! You are awesome Wes ! I miss Shannon and W J though . Shannon if you are reading these post just want you to know your one tough gal !!

  43. brian w

Great job Wes!! You never cease to amaze me. The last two shows I thought where the best you done. Well they where till now. And congrats on #100

  44. Zach S

Damn it feels good to be a gangster…….yeah Wes I’m gonna have to ask you for another 100 episodes. Yeah that be great. Thanks Wes for the show. I still get pumped up when I hear the intro to the show.

  45. Thane M

Great showWes. Took me about five trys to get it to play all the way through. By the way its not my computer because I do not have this problem with Netflix or Youtube. Anyway Great show really amazing how many people all over have had these experiences. In 2004 I deer hunted for one week alone near Redding and in Trinity Alps area. I jumped a big black bear that ran like hell to get away from me. I never suspected that I was in areas that have some of these things. I was amazed how no deer tracks or sign on Granite Mt in Trinity Alps. Maybe some of these things were living there.

  46. Scott D

Congrats on 100 episodes ( and the others )!! I am so thankful for what you provide and all the others who are brave enough to come forward!! I can’t express how happy I am to have this program in my life! I’ve been into Sasquatch/Bigfoot stuff since I was a little kid in the 70’s. A BIG thanks again to everyone who has ever contributed to this show!!

  47. deborah m

Once again, THANK YOU! Wonderful show as always. Mondays don’t come around quick enough at my place, Going over all the older shows again has been great. .After watching the video of you encounter again just makes me more nervous than the first time i watched it. Wishing you happiness and all the good things in life. x Cheers 🙂

  48. darren

    Great episode.
Being a serious hunter myself I always put more credence/clout on a hunter’s encounter than say… some old lady saw one run across the road driving late at night sort of sighting.
    Congrat’s on a 100 episodes WES.
Thanks so much from the other side of the globe mate, for bringing all these people and their encounters into my life.
That coyote experienced hunter – chilling encounter. I reckon it got wind of him.

  49. Gail d

Congratulations Wes, the first gentlemen you had on and Bob Hamilton were top notch. I too would like to hear from David Paulides please consider having him on.

    1) How do I access the paid content on my iPhone? I can’t seem to find anything.

    2) Why is there no search box on your website? I have to see if I can find when you started paid content, but I have to guess.

    3) What episode did you start adding paid content, around 50? Why can’t we search episode #s?

    4) A lot of links on the right sidebar are malformed and don’t lead anyplace.

Do you need help with your website?
