More Encounters In Maine

A listener writes “Hey Wes, I have to write and tell you about some experiences I have had here in Maine. I just listened to the members show 760, the last guy Ben was talking about his encounters in that area. I live in the same area. I have not seen the creature myself, I have heard it, along with my father and my kids.

One of the first encounters happened in late July of 2010. My house had burned down and I had moved into my neighbors as they were heading to Alaska for a year, while rebuilding mine. I was woken up at 3:15am in the morning out of a sound sleep by this extremely loud howling. Whatever it was, was just on top of the ridge behind the house. My wife at the time also woke up and we listened to this thing for about 20 minutes. That was just the start, over the next 6 years I would hear this thing all the time, all different times of the day and night. In different locations from high up on the different ridges around my house. I would only hear from the last two weeks of July till January. I would also find tree structures, tree breaks and have encountered that weird smell several different times while out hunting and hiking in the woods.

In the spring of 2016 while out turkey hunting, I found a line of tree breaks in an area I have now dubbed the “Bigfoot Woods”. That same spring my father ( who had moved up to this area in 2012……8 miles down the road from me.) Called me days before the start of turkey season and told me that my “buddy” was down here the other day. Now I thought he was talking about this big Tom turkey that was hanging around his place and he said no, my other “buddy”, the one that howls all the time. He went on to tell me that he was out on his deck having a smoke around 11pm that evening. This thing let out a howl from above the ridge across the street from his house, said it was EXTREMELY loud. Then few minutes later a different one answered it in the opposite direction. The one beside his house let out another howl and then that was it.

While they were pouring my foundation for my new house, the cement truck driver kept asking me what that noise was we could hear over all the equipment.

I need to tell you about the UFOs I have seen, my kids have video of one of them and I will send it to you.

Here is a zoomed in version:

Lastly, I did record this howl in 2012, I recorded it on an iPad2, the recording doesn’t do it justice on how loud it was. You will have to turn up the volume to hear it. It howls twice one after the other.

That Is so awesome. Everytime I hear a roar or howl it takes me back, I usually get chills. And that tinge of fear and helplessness creep back in.

I love Maine . It’s the best part of New England. My two oldest kids live there . So much woods that are uninhabited. Definitely an area for Bigfoot activity.

Great video catch from the kids. The howl, yeah, sounds very mournful. Would be an interesting guest, Wes. Thanks for searching out so much good content for your listeners. I can’t express how appreciative I am for the work you do.
