Game warden talks about Sasquatch in the National Parks

Brenton writes “JT is a Game warden in the North west and has encountered Sasquatch several times. The 411 missing persons cases in the national forests are true and JT has seen it. The Bigfoot is aggressive and it has scared this Game warden.”

Amazed anything can take an ’06 in the chest (maybe two) and still run away with the prey. I wish he continued to shoot the thing just to spare it the agony of a possible slow death once the adrenalin wears off. I would feel horrible letting anything run off badly wounded like that.

He flinched the shot left or right under pressure. Apparently, the impact of the 06 still had the power to knock him down. He took a shot in the shoulder and got up, snatching the food to finish feeding his BF family, taking the deer with him. I would only shoot an aggressive one, then I would fire semi-auto precision shots to drop him fast…

    Listening now, and yikes.
m99 is right , I think it is true that this site and your efforts , especially uploading the episodes to YouTube, has to change the way unsuspecting people approach the forests as recreation sites. The quality of witnesses, their expertise in law enforcement and forestry positions alone should convince the public that a threat (or even other creatures) exist.
If not, well, I hope they can continue in their blind ignorance without ever experiencing what we have.

    Wes,
I know this was not your interview, so i feel safe i. asking. ok so just so I have this right, this trained law enforcement officer see “something” that he first recognizes as a bear. then is not sure what it is, and then thinks or may be a crazy person”in a suit” and for a distance of 200 yards tells the unknown thing to put up its hands. It does not comply. and comes his direction “aggressively”,so he shoots it twice. he then gets 100 yards closer, it gets up, he again tells it to raise its hands and again it fails to comply, so he shoots it twice again.

    1. No trained LE Officer is going to shoot something from a distance of 200 yards. for failing to comply to verbal orders. as there is no immediate threat.

    2. No trained LE Officer would shoot something from a distance of 200 yards with out specific and articulatable facts that would suggest the Officer felt that his safety or the safety of another was in eminate jeopardy. a very difficult thing to prove from 200 or even 100 yards distance.

Although for the.most part I am a believer, I’m gonna go ahead and call BS on these encounters.

I think the guys telling the truth but the 200yds does throw me off. That’s 2 football fields. And this guy interviewing needs to listen to Wes because he’s terrible at interviewing. Wish the game warden would of contacted Wes because that would of been a better show. My gosh this guy just rambles…

At 200 yards he fired warning shots , then he continued to approach the creature when he asked to see his hands the creature then growled at him and made its way “aggressively” towards the officer . He then felt his saftey was compromised and shot him in the chest. Police officers shooting people in the streets everyday because they are scared of an average man …Imagine being out the woods and having a beast coming towards you after you try to intimidate it ..at that point your going to throw your “training” out the window. If you call this persons encounters bs you must be on this site thinking everyone of these people making stories up and spending there time taking interviews and posting encounters lol

I have to say that I agree with you James L. I am sorry, but if this guy is a full fledged “Game Warden” then I am Shirley Temple. I am not perfect, good lord knows, I am not perfect. But I have spent a lot of time in a few different states hunting and fishing, and thus have talked with dozens of different Game Wardens, LE officers, Conservation officers…etc…What I can tell you is that they are well spoken, safety conscious, driven people. The thing that every Fish and Game officer tries to get across to just about everyone they come in contact with is safety, safety, and more safety. Shooting at something when you are not sure what it is…..not safe. Just saying.

@ James L : I gotta say, good points, but again, this isn’t Wes’ interview. Perhaps when or if Wes has that opportunity he’ll articulate a little better. But, good points James…

James L this guy wasn’t 100 yes from someone on the street or a crook robbing a store. He saw a eight foot tall hairy, ugly monster coming at him. I guarantee anybody would have shot it, if they weren’t frozen in fear. His training is probably the only thing that saved his life. No bs here.

The story in Yosemite National Park (just a guess) is heartbreaking of the small child missing. I feel so Bad for the child and family, and ofcourse the officer feels terrible he couldn’t do anything. Seeing something over the shoulder has been seen before of missing children in the Missing 411 Book..Sad…

This is an awesome interview. I would like for Wes to interview this guy in a small series of interviews. Maybe a 3 part interview. I would really like Wes to chat with this guy.

Useful info gotten from this interview. The interviewer should of asked the warden about the part where the warden said he has video because he had his GoPro camera, describe to us what we would see if we could watch it.

i agree with the masses, Wes would undoubtably do a better interview with JT. over the years of listening to thousands of hours of witness encounters, i find these game wardens, park rangers, police officers and forestry department individuals to be the most believable. listening between the lines, it’s believable how much this guy cares. his emotion discussing the encounter when searching for missing child in Yosemite was unmistakable; and at the end of the interview his belief about trails that have signage stating “no dogs allowed” was very helpful, i don’t think i’ve ever heard that recommendation from an interview before. i would really love to see the go pro camera footage. I believe JT has more to tell because he lives this job everyday and the right interviewer will pull more info out of him, as stated in earlier comment, this interviewer rambles on too much. i find JT to be very believable, no matter what some folks say about his encounter where he shot a bigfoot, earlier remarks comment that his actions were not consistent with LE officials, well he’s not your typical LE official, he works in the great outdoors and I’m sure his training is much different than the typical police official. its little facts like that Wes could expand on like this guy couldn’t. Great find and post big man, keep doing it right dude!

Thanks Wes… Before I discovered your & Woodys encounter story when you started the show I never realized how mean these things could be..caution is needed for all enjoying our National Parks..

How can we verify this man is a warden? I loved it but am also very frustrated with the huge claims and just having to passively accept that this man is who he says he is and is telling the truth.

Interesting accounts. All have a ring of truth to my ear. I heard no real red flags of BS. He certainly could risk losing his job if he or his agency is identified. Why should he risk that to satisfy YOUR standard of proof. Even if he wasn’t employed by the govt. he may wish to remain anonymous for his own privacy.

Agree with James L on this, that part of the story doesn’t make a lot of sense. Now maybe his distance is off but it still strikes me as something a GW wouldn’t do without absolutely knowing what he was shooting it, if he even had a reason to shoot.

What throws me off with this guy is that sheer number of stories he has and then went into a Paulides like story after that. The GW’s linguistic behavior and repeated use of “actually” may indicate deception.

While I have had my own experience and am a believer, the GW in this episode needs to be thoroughly vetted if we are to believe him.
