SC EP:1251 Fifteen Yards Away From It

A listener writes “My name is Timothy, and I want to say how much I enjoy your show and appreciate the work you do. I’m a Seminole Native American who grew up in South Florida, right next to the Everglades. Over the years, I’ve had several paranormal experiences.

One of the most striking happened in April 2021, when I had a clear, close encounter no more than 15 yards away with what I believe was a Sasquatch, or what locals call a Skunk Ape. I was out riding my four-wheeler in the woods at the time. After that, I had a few more unusual experiences in the same area with friends, though I’m not entirely sure if those were related to Bigfoot.

I’ve also been involved in what I later realized was a demon summoning ceremony, during which I experienced some disturbing paranormal activity.

More recently, at the beginning of December, a friend and I heard a distinct wood knock, followed by the sound of something moving toward us from the other side of the woods. And just today, while riding along the reservation line, I came across a set of three-toed tracks. These experiences have stayed with me, and I thought they might be of interest to you.”

The same thing happened to me when I seen the Sasquatch in Canada! I seen it and boom I was spinning and felt sick! one other girl that was with me had the same feeling! it’s definitely an odd experience! It happens often!

Naa son I want to be invited to this ritual. That would be so awesome to experience for me. I want to know more about what happened there and who they pray too.

Wes, I think you played the closing song for me. Thank you for proving my point. By the way, I was supposed to be unsubscribed, and I just saw that I was billed for another month. I’m glad I joined using my PayPal account and not my bank card number. I just.hate to have to report the PP card lost / stolen because it’s a nuisance to send for another. Wes, you have a great show in some ways, but in other ways it is lacking IMO. You give so much attention to the spooky “woo” stuff, and you give a lot of credit to past and living Sasquatch researchers, but almost no credit to world-reknowned researchers in primatology, archeology, paleoanthropology, etc. I see in your content a real lack of balance with sciences and the life work of those pioneers like Louis Leakey and his three young protigees, Diane Fossey, Jane Goodall, and Birute Galdikas. Galdiksas just died and I asked you to please give a little respect. These are people who have given their entire lives, making many sacrifices throughout, to help future generations understand and appreciate the world we share and are trying to preserve for our future generations. It’s your show and you do what you want with it, but I for one would appreciate more balance. You have a large number of children and parents in your audience and kids love your show. So, do I. I really do appreciate your show, and I actually do have a very open mind for the paranormal. I myself have witnessed some remarkable things for which there is no “scientific explanation”. At one time I thought I would like to share them, but not anymore. I don’t think that you are actually 100% serious about your content or subject matter. I think that Sasquatch Chronicles is basically oriented towards entertainment and what I like to call “domine-baiting”. Why can’t you see that the scientific evidence actually supports the possibility of these creatures? If you could make a case for the supporting sciences, that right there would help a lot of people to open up and talk about it.

No offense meant- Why don’t you start your own show doing it how you think it should be done.
Reading your comment and considering it- I don’t see what you see. I don’t think to demand the show be anything other than what it is- regular people sharing their encounters. It’s great just as it is for this reason.
It’s not heavily ‘commercialized’, he’s not nickel and diming the audience or pushing any agenda.

Btw I got turned off of Jane Goodhall big time after hearing her talking about getting rid of most humans off the earth, in a forum hosted by fellow Malthusians, which so many amongst the science and research community are. Their ‘nature religion’ informs their ‘science’.

As someone who for decades has studied propaganda and psychological manipulations in media- this podcast is not exploiting dopamine baiting also known as rage baiting. Not even slightly.

I think it’s just another type of ritual to heal someone using techniques from another culture learned over years and years involving spirt helpers. Christians might call them guardian angles. Not bad just different. We’re all from the same source. Including spirits and Sasquatches! It’s all “real”.

Tim lives near where I left part of my heart after hurricane Irma – 💙💚The Everglades💚💙

I grew up hearing stories of encounters in old Miami outskirts and in the Everglades. I was born and grew up in Central Florida, and then lived in the Keys for 30 years. oh how i love and miss the Everglades.

Thank you for coming on the show, Tim, and stay strong in your Faith!

Thank you, Wes, for the labor of love you do.

It was strange to me, not meant to be insulting. Anyone who knows me, knows I go out of my way not to insult people and for the record if you invite me over for dinner and you tie up an old man to perform a ritual, my comments during the show would probably still apply 😆 with all do respect and no offense of course

Great show thanks Wes and Timothy. I can’t stop chuckling over ‘what did they serve for dinner’ !! Seems there are a few of us with dodgy humour Wes!!!

Hi there. i actually am a member of the Seminole tribe of florida. The studder and inconsistency reapeating his words. There is no fence line that surrounds the reservation. Also he went from april to summer. If you have a 11.5 shoe why do you keep saying gator track. lol! Wes was right when he said what’s for dinner. he can tell he’s lying haha. If your seminole why do you keep saying “they say don’t yell at night” “they said don’t whistle at night”. how about We’re taught not to whistle at night. Seminole and Cherokee??? red flag. your “sponsoring “ your friends dinner and you think he’s Seminole and sioux you think??. Everyone knows everyone on the reservation, most of us are related and have been raised with eachother all of our lives. Tying up medicine men lol NOT Seminoles!!. Don’t be a culture vulture reference another tribe in your fictional world.

  8. Johanna V

    Thank you, Wes, great job!
Word: If someone asks me to ‘sponsor’ an event that begins at 11:00 p.m. in a double-wide, where we have to give up our phones, no lights, etc. No way, from the beginning, sorry.
Word ll: A very skilled magician would be capable of all the things our guest described. All of it. I have experience as a magician assistant, trust me. Not saying shamanic powers weren’t utilized, with complete respect, only pointing out a cross-reference fact.
    Fascinating show, great story!

Janice B – No. I am not interested in your proposed ‘balance’. If such content were introduced I would no longer subscribe. The balance that you propose is another form of mass bullying like politically correctness, woke & BLM BS. To say something has ‘scientific basis’ when the basis is flawed is BS. We all know science is based on politics and further constrained by the popular thinking of the science masses – whoever ‘they’ are. Further, I am not interested in the research of these folks. If I were I would find and follow it. Janice B, move along.

OK, You Two, You are really wondering why there could be no lights during this ceremony??? The food being eaten, the ‘bird’ flying about, the women screaming, the children playing were all cover for the knots being untied and other activities (pretty sure if you were allowed to examine the knots you would find they were slipknots; also thinking there probably was a playback device present. Lol). All that said, these practices are not without merit. Medicine folks have long known that folk’s belief systems/thinking get in the way of (desired) changes. If you can get folks to step outside of themselves (suspend believe in what they are thinking into existence) they can enact change for themselves.
