You have at least presented us with some ideas to ponder. I’m not sure if the real reason will ever be known for the faces. I would ad that we can not drop the idea that the faces are artist representations of what the “Gods” wanted them to sculpture or draw. I have an idea that these “Gods” did not want the people to know that they were not “Gods” at all. Even our leaders today try to hide what they are whether it be a Mason, socialist, extreme religious beliefs or whatever. The stories are old and so are the drawings. Unfortunately we have no one living today that can enlighten us.
