Tonight’s Member Show: Delayed Until Tomorrow

We have been experiencing cold temperatures. I don’t think that is the cause but I woke up this morning to a broken water pipe. I had to turn the water off at the street. I am trying to get a plumber to come out but I can’t get a hold of anyone today. I am going to try to get to it and fix it myself. I will post the member show tomorrow. I apologize to everyone for the inconvenience.

      Taking a break to warm up. It’s technically against the law in the town I live in. I guess the city imposes a fine if you do. I have a water key and no one from the city is coming out on a Sunday. I get it’s an against the law to turn your water back on after the city turns it off but this is not that situation I got a busted pipe and water is expensive.

    Sorry to hear that Wes as frozen and then broken pipes suck and it is no fun to be without water for a couple of days. I hope you get it fixed and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

    don’t blame you Wes, it sounds like you have more important things to think about. Good luck and hopefully you can get it figured it out soon. Tomorrow here in Maine is supposed to be really bad with temps feeling like -5 to – 10 with wind chills. Our local news just posted cancellations for tomorrow due to the predictions of frigid cold weather and snow. Yikes. Hey if you guys don’t hear from me next weekend…send help. 😆 Thx Wes

    Well, I’m not going to lie. That sucks for me, wes, but I completely understand. Usually if you find someone to come out in the cold, and on a Sunday no less, they will charge you triple. I wish you luck. And to anyone who is going to be experiencing temperatures below freezing, and especially with windchills down in the negative like we are here in the Smoky Mountains, please remember to BRING YOUR PETS IN!! Yes, they are wearing “fur coats,” but they can freeze to death EASILY in lower temperatures, and at the very least be suffering and extremely uncomfortable. My dogs will be warm and safe in my house, but I’m going to go set up a little makeshift warming shelter with a blanket and space heater in my carport for any animals who might need it. I’ve got a neighbor who never lets their cat in even when it’s cold. Some people don’t deserve pets. But dogs, possums raccoons and deer, bear etc are also welcome lol. Whatever might need some relief from the cold. I once had a rabbit go in and warm up, I could tell from the tracks in the snow. Take care, stay warm.

    Wes, no worries on the show…hope you get it repaired tomorrow…we do Plumbing, but live in Michigan, so would be kind of expensive to send a guy out😆…going to be minus 23 wind chill tomorrow here…have a great night everyone..stay warm

    I believe something was trying to get out of the weather here and turned the knob on the door to one of our little garden sheds. As far as I can figure, it had to be something with a thumb. Been trying to ignore it, but that door doesn’t open itself. Went and closed it, didn’t see any impressions in the snow. I wonder if a heavy bird trying to perch on the small door handle could be to blame. We do have a good sized red-tailed hawk in residence. Never known that door to come open on its own before, the little door handle is fairly firm in its turning. Water keys for everyone!

    -25 in Ohio headed this way Monday night. The last plumber I called to fix a leak in the clothes washer pipe used his reticular saw and actually cut a hole clear into my living room wall. Do your own plumbing when you can. I’m going to fix my wall when I repaint. lol

    Oh no! Geez!!!! I’m really sorry to hear that, man!!!
    We can turn our water off here but i have no clue how to do that. Small towns are a little more forgiving. Please be careful with Our Wes!!! No slipping, no falling, no freezing! I’ll pray for you to get some help!!

      We are going to be minus 5 on Monday and Tuesday in SW, OH. This has been one of the coldest Januarys I remember, been here since 1996, with this past Friday being the only day this month the temperature hit the average January High for us. March can’t come soon enough. I sincerely hope Wes your city gets the main break fixed and right soon. Hang in there.

    Hang in there. I was froze up 10 days last winter. Sucks. Do what you need to for you & your family. -30 wind chills in MT tonight. Sasquatch is holed up somewhere. Lol

    What a PITAss. Good luck Wes. I see even Houston has freezing weather too. I’m in SoCal have been stuck in my car two Fridays in a row waiting for a tow in 46F with no jacket…putting emergency jacket and blankets in my 2008 4 Runner.👍
