YouTube stabilization and color balancing added. Bill Munns has confirmed this as an unedited film sequence, a copy of the full camera roll that was in Roger Patterson’s Kodak Cine K-100 camera that day of October 20th, 1967

Unlike most….. When i 1st saw this, i knew it wasnt human…. From spending many days in the forest… You can see the size, the unproportioned body, the head shape, the walk or forward movement….. it just never looked human to me… This clip never gets old… Ciao

Definitely not a human, the fluidity of the walk the amount of ground it is covering in relative ease says real animal to me. People can say all they want this is a man in a monkey suit but in ’67 they didn’t have the capability to pull off such a convincing costume. Best footage ever, and the best proof we’ve got till someone shows up with a body.

I couldn’t agree more!

I hope Bob Gemlin realizes he is an American icon. That he is a huge part of history either way.

The first time I saw this was when I was a kid. I’m almost 50 now. In the intervening years I have observed many people and animals in the wild. Patty is human-like but definitely not human. According to the naysayers, this was just someone in a monkey suit. If that was the case, why hasn’t anyone been able to recreate this “obvious” hoax? This video is THE iconic standard that really introduced Bigfoot/Sasquatch to the public. Kudos to Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin for this great gift they have left for all of us.

Since the only widely considered authentic video of one is shot on film why don’t people trying to film one use film? I understand that film isn’t cheap but neither are night vision, infrared, dozens of camera traps, and complicated microphones. Perhaps there’s a reason it’s the only authentic footage.
