The BDRP Late Show: Gilgamesh

Dee Doss writes “Dee and Johnny B. discuss the great hunter. Gilgamesh was a historical king of the Sumerian city-state of Uruk, a major hero in ancient Mesopotamian mythology, and the protagonist of the Epic of Gilgamesh, an epic poem written in Akkadian during the late second millennium BC. He probably ruled sometime between 2800 and 2500 BC and was posthumously deified.

Thanks Wes. I appreciate what you post. Always learning. Skip’s gone to a Whistler Fund Raiser / Sale / Beer Garden 🙂 with his buddy and I’m having fun listening to your content. I’ve read the epic (not that I understood it really) so can’t wait to hear this analysis. Listening…

Sounds a lot like the speculative, wide ranging, thinly attributed stuff you all did some time back in the ‘Renegade’ podcasts. I guess if you’re into the full throated conspiracy stuff then great. I imagine if the podcast still had a grounded sense much like it did in its first eighty or so episodes, this might have been more fully researched and credentialed. But whatever fills the seats… ?

Yeah, kinda all over the place, huh? I caught the gist of what they were saying, and obviously have read and searched through prayer, seeking answers, but I do not agree that we are living to completely do the ten commandments. That was a thimbleful of instruction, as Jesus said, ‘love God and your neighbor as yourself’ is the greatest of all commandments. With the spirit of the Lord we’re enabled. Without it not. Anyway, it’s good these folks are trying their best to express the times in which we live.

I quit listening when the “let’s trash transgender” started. Same old hate, same old poking your nose in people’s bedrooms, same old ultra judgmental “Christians “. Is that really what you learned from Jesus?

I listen to Timothy Alberino so I guess I’m one of the quacks. I also love the ancient texts. There’s more texts than just the Apocrypha that provides confirmation. As for the naysayers who put others down for their beliefs….you don’t have to listen to it. I don’t take it on myself to go comment negatively on some of the weird crap that others believe in. I scroll on by.

Thank you Wes for putting out information that may be out of the norm and providing it to the many multifaceted personalities and belief systems we all have. I’ve gotten so much info from your listeners, those who’ve had encounters and yourself that it’s helped me understand a bit of what I’ve experienced, and make sense of it. It also helped me know steps to take going forward that I garnered from several individuals including those researchers and explorers in my own area. Your show gave me the courage to contact researchers and share my info with them.

    Thanks again Wes!

If you don’t like it don’t listen it’s pretty simple, but don’t sit and judge others for there belief’s. Find something better to do instead bitching and crying about other people’s opinions. I guarantee I won’t agree with some of your opinions, but who cares.
