Lisa writes “I was 10 or 11 when it came up behind our house. I was in my bed and the window was open above my head. My mother was in the bathroom just finishing a shower and the bathroom window was open as well. The bathroom was next to my bedroom.
I heard something walking outside that sounded like a man walking, breaking sticks and crunching leaves as it walked. It came close enough to my bedroom window that I could hear it breathing. It was a raspy deep guttural breathing not only on exhale, but also on inhale. I became frozen in place, terrified out of my mind. Just paralyzed with fear. I couldn’t speak or scream or move or anything. I’m not even sure I was breathing.
My mom came running out of the bathroom yelling at me to get out of bed. I couldn’t answer her and I could hear the fear in her voice. She managed to come into my room and grab my leg and jerk on me while she said she avoided looking at the window. I guess that broke my paralysis and she managed to half drag me out of the bed and we ran into the hallway.
Just as we were trying to explain to my grandmother what was happening, something hit the back of the house really hard. It shook the whole house. My grandmother got her gun and we huddled together in the kitchen. The kitchen had a small window not really big enough to see anything out of that might be in the backyard, so we eased our way into the dining room where a larger window was. At this time, they were thinking someone was trying to break into the house, maybe knowing only 2 women and a young girl were there.
We tried to look out the big window, but it was pitch black and we couldn’t see anything, which didn’t make sense because there was always a light out by the driveway that would illuminate the back and front yard at least a little all the time.
As my grandmother and my Mom were commenting on that, something moved away from the window sideways. At that moment, we all realized that we couldn’t see anything out of the window because this huge hairy thing was standing in front of it blocking the entire window! Now just imagine that feeling! We were freaked out! And even thinking back on this gives me chills every time I tell this to anyone.
This big hairy thing was inches from our faces and we had no idea!
Anyway, as it moved from center to the left of the window, back toward my bedroom, we saw that it was gigantic and covered in brown hair.
I don’t remember the remainder of the night except that I slept in my mother’s room and the following day we moved my bed away from the window to the other side of the room.
The breathing I will never forget. It has left a scar on me since that night. I guess it is a form of childhood PTSD. Though that term didn’t even exist back then. I never want to be that close again, but I gotta know exactly what that was, you know?”
I will also be speaking with Alan. Alan and his father were hunting in Colorado. This incident took place in 1975, Alan and his father were awaken to their truck being rocked from side to side. To this day Alan’s father will not speak about what he saw. In 2015 Alan was in Washington State and he describes this strange vocal he heard while fishing and everyone in the area left because of fear.

The show tonight, Wes, was perfect. Great job in sharing these with us. Both guests did a very good job relating their encounters. Alan’s experiences really spoke to me and actually gave me chills. In 2015-2016, I worked in Castle Rock. An interesting drive is to turn off the main road to Castle Rock and drive west through a forest of almost primordial and unseen-like views of those mountains between Sedalia and Salida. There’s a neat old log cabin style bar called the Sprucewood Inn with a giant stone fireplace inside. Willie Nelson’s daughter liked to hang out there from time to time. Salida is south and has to be very remote, but north would be Deckers, an area where we trout fished before driving north and west to squatchy lakes like Cheesman and Wellington, then over to Bailey, CO (very squatchy). It’s all so very squatchy, and tonight’s episode took me back there.
Wes, the patriot music nearly brought tears to my eyes. You must have picked the most moving rendition there is. God bless and God bless America.

Thanks Linda!

My theory about why bigfoot is more aggressive towards fisherman is because every
stream or pond or lake where people fish you find dozens if not hundreds of hooks and Lures
on the bottom. fishing line aslo. Im sure any bare foot creature walking in there would cut their
feet and hook themselves. Im sure it would make them angry.

Wes, did you forget to do the known animal sound? Or did I just miss it somehow?
Gary R
Hi Wes, I just wanted to let you know how much I loved listening to your story. After all these years of hearing your voice & listening to SC its really nice to feel like I know more about who you are. What you did for work and all about your muppets. Thing 1 & thing 2. Pretty funny. It made me wince as you spoke of injuring your back. Ouch! I too have a back injury. My injury is going on 10 years old now & it still gives me fits from time to time. I know how it is. Life comes to a standstill while I lay on the couch for some days. Anyways, I so, so appreciate you and what you’ve built here. Never doubt how much you matter to all of us, your SC family. Hang in there Wes. Warmly, Addie
Wes
Thanks Gary

3 toes is not normal. Generally 3 toed indicates something abnormal. These beings are generally very aggressive from past accounts
m99
Yes. I’ve heard it said about the three toes they are more reptilians Just sayin’.
Cryptids Unlimited
Not reptilian at all. Most reptiles, like alligators, have 4 toes and look webbed. These were like a human foot just missing 2 toes.
Jennifer H
Great episode. Thanks Wes
Steve O
Hey big Dogg. What happened to Merkel doing your sasquatch encounter? I must have missed it. I was looking forward to it. Thanks brother.

Happy 4th of July Wes!! Great Episode!!

I’d
like to request guests with unique accents more often and a midweek episode. also, how do I search episodes? also, great episode and I’m kidding, I know you work your butt off!

Wes is an excellent interviewer and Sasquatch Chronicles is phenomenol. It truly amazes me as to how you don’t have at least 4 MILLION subscribers.

Thanks, Wes and thanks to your guests. It was a great show tonight. Appreciate Lisa and Allan coming on and sharing pretty scary experiences.

the three toed foot print is just like the legend of boggy Creek monster. They found the three toad tracks and Willie Smith’s been field in the early 70s. Those foot casts can actually be seen in the museum called expedition Bigfoot in Gilmer county, Georgia.
Charles R
Those 3 toe prints were probably due from the 2 other toes being rolled up in the air. I found one almost this time of year in Preble county, OH above the twin creek where there has been activity recorded since the 1970s. The 2 outside pinky toes did not show up but the other 3 were great and 2 inches square each with clear seperation. 20;.5 inch long x 10 inches wide total.
Cryptids Unlimited
Good info!! Thanks Charles R!!

To anyone who has seen the lights (orbs) I have seen them. They are not ghosts or spiritual. They are technology, something like a drone. I do not know what the exact circumstances are but there is a link between those lights, big foot and dogman. Infact I go further than that and I believe ghost and all paranormal activity are linked. There are other beings on this planet and they hide from us. They hide in our myths and religion. They hides in the shadows, our dreams and the woods. I could not possibly explain all the reasons why I believe this to be true. But I will say I have experienced something you might call “the hitchhiker effect” you don’t want this smoke… Stay the f out of the woods, the desert, the mountains, mind your business cause if you get caught up the sht is real and you’ll never be the same. The world is not like you think it is NOTHING LIKE IT. Take care everyone and stay DAFUQ out the woods. You ain’t ready.
Dana J
I ponder what the actual statics are? How many people spend 2+ days in “woods” of over than 5000 acres and have bad (defined by mental or physical involvement) encounter with what they believe was a Sasquash? That would tell me whether i need to not go into the “woods”. Now i will tell you about statistics- they are statistics not whether you will have the experience. For instance statistics show 1 in 3 are involved in a serious auto accident. I had one- hit by a drunk driver when i was 21- totaled my car. Thought that would be it- but NO! I have had 4 totaled cars- none my fault- even hit by a semi truck- so there is the lesson on statistics. Still….
Yes, hunters have guns. Agree with his assessment of what they are and the respect we must and should give them.
