SC EP:1161 I saw something that should not exist

Tonight we will be speaking to Chuke and Todd. Chuke writes “I’m Chuke from Chuke’s Outdoor Adventures. I was featured on The Alaska Triangle season 2 that can still be viewed on Discover Plus. I’m a bigfoot researcher living in Alaska and I have a weekly bigfoot show I do every Sunday on YouTube. I work regularly with Rob Roy Menzies, owner of The Bigfoot Art Gallery in Palmer and Larry Bean’s Baxter author of a book on Port Chatham. I would love to be a guest on your show to talk about my investigations of sasquatch on Prince of Whales Island (where the upside-down trees are) and my sighting of a cat-like creature here in Alaska that matches the sighting of a recent guest from Oregon you had.”

Todd writes “Trying to get something off my chest that happened in the upper peninsula of Michigan in 1977. It’s a kind of long story. I saw the creature up close when I was 11 years old.” Spoke to the witness and he has agreed to come on the show.

He said I was playing in the woods not paying attention to my surroundings and I came across this thing and this thing stood up and looked at me. The face reminded me of an old Native American but it was not human. I think it was digging for something. I was uncomfortable close. The creature looked at me in disgust and turned and walked away. At the same time I was running the opposite direction.”

Fred at Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch is my go to for anything Alaskan. Fred also touches on the massive amount of missing people as does Steve at Howtohunt. The # of female First Nations that go missing each yr is insane

I could buy that wind might turn trees upside down but they’re not going to land completely vertically. they would go in like at a sideways angle or something if it was from a windstorm. not straight up and down. that’s just ludicrous

Really enjoyed hearing from Chuke and Todd, both came across as really great people. Always love a stink eye from our hairy cousins! Those cat like creatures are eerie. I got the impression from previous ep that they were ETs? May need to listen to that ep again. Personally i am not a fan of expedition shows but if Chuke did a podcast similar to Wes’s I’d sign up to hear about all the mysteries of the north from sightings to first nation lore; defo got a good voice and charisma for media. Many thanks to guests and to Wes for putting the show together.

Wow, I never would have guessed the little people are bigger than sasquatches, but he straight up said they’re the biggest cryptids in Alaska. He’s the expert…

Nice to hear a great sighting from a Yooper, and this time from the Eastern U.P. I have not been to Sugar Island, but have been to the Soo a few times. Who know, it may have been the same Bigfoot seen by the spouses except at different times. There are no bridges to this Island, instead only a ferry and those water are always cold. So either there has been a population of Sasquatch on this Island for some time, or this one swam over probably by the St. Marys River. Speaking of human type faces an Artist named Harvey Pratt years ago did some amazing painting of different Bigfoots by eye witness accounts. I think this originally was in junction with David Paulides Bigfoot website. Most were very human like. I believe Florida BFRO researcher Sybilla Irwin has done the same. Of course features will vary.

There is no way the trees this big, I have seen them on TV, could have been done upside down by any Bigfoot. As powerful as they are even machinery could not do this, unless a hole was dug and filled in. Most likely loggers did this as a prank with machinery. Or something of very high strangeness.

Hale Boggs, congressman from Louisiana and Nick Begich congressman from Alaska (the only one due to small population) plane went missing in 1972, and of course many conspiracies about this abound. I remember back in the mid 1990’s listening to Chuck Harder’s For the People (National syndicated 3 hour radio program) when he interviewed Nick Begich’s grandson, Nick Begich about his new book ” Angel’s Dont Play that Harp”. Nick was the first person to expose this at that time highly classified project of shooting billions of watts of power with antenna arrays into the atmosphere in Alaska. Nick was an often guest with Chuck and also with Art Bell and of course many reasons for this project were put forth, weather manipulation being the big one.
This is only the second time I have heard of a Bigfoot, Brown Bear interaction. The first one was on TV back in maybe 2012 on Monster’s and Mysteries in Alaska. An Alaskan fisherman and his crewman pulled in for the night just off an Island. A brown bear walks out and gave these guys quite the scare with a staredown. Then it began running away down the shoreline. Then stepped out this nine foot tall Bigfoot and also looked the guys over then moved back into the woods. The fisherman passed a facial expression lie detector lady. I have no doubt a huge alpha male could make quick work of a brown bear that Chuke reported hearing about. Mostly due to their crazy athleticism and speed, and arms and strength and natural intelligence. Maybe this story is true, maybe not.

when I lived in the foothills of the Smokey mountains in Tennessee I was taking my dog for a walk one day. our road was on a wildlife reserve very remote hardly ever see any ppl few houses spread far apart older ppl. The road is a dead end an it begins this huge wildlife reserve just beautiful. But always felt strange an way to quiet. I left my house rounded the first turn on this lil country road I looked up an there was this lil humanoid standing on top of the drainage pipe that went underneath the road to prevent t our road flooding over. but it had a flatter nose an I’ll never forget it’s eyelids they were so different than ours. they had a much fatter edge to the eye lid an they were flatter an round like a cartoon character. an it was wearing some sort of robe that had jagged hanging edges. it was holding a spear an it was about 3to 4 ft tall. it was a light greenish light gray color I reached in my pocket.Looked down for split.Second to get my phone looked back up.It was still there.I was able to capture a picture of it today.I still have a picture of it. In my picture is clear it’s not blurry. They are real very real couldn’t believe it but still can’t believe it On my way back from my twenty minute walk right in the same curve in the road. There was a dead squirrel splayed out

First to comment?! My very first comment too! Thanks for the show Wes, and thanks to the guests for sharing. One day I’ll get the courage to share all my stuff from Maine with ya, Wes.

    Aw yeah beb, thanks Wes.
Has anyone, forester, etc, ever provided a succinct explanation for the upside down trees? A mud/landslide is plausible I guess but wouldn’t the surrounding area also appear to be trashed? And the ones that I’ve seen are always perfectly vertical…

There was caribou in WA until 2019 when they transplanted what was left of the last herd south of the Canadian border. Of course Chuke is referring to the tundra variety of caribou and not the woodland variety that WA/ID had.
