SC EP:114 “It” was tapping on my window

My guest tonight is Carol from New Hampshire, she did not believe in Bigfoot. She has lived on her property for 20 years and noticed a lot of strange activity over the years. While living alone she witnesses “something” looking in her bedroom window.

She describes in full detail what she saw. She said that she was scared and looked away from the window and when she looked back it was gone.

Years later her child came screaming out of that room saying “there was a monster tapping on the window.” Assuming it was over imagination of a child she thought nothing of it. Her daughter would continue to say “it” was tapping on her window. It was not until Carol experienced the creature tapping on a window that she realized something was going on. Carol thought she was going crazy and went to talk to her neighbors. Her neighbors have their property lit up with flood lights at night. The husband said that “something” keeps tapping on their windows at night and items from their yard keep coming up missing. Carol commented to her neighbors “maybe it was a bear?” to which the husband replied “It was no bear.” The wife said that she has seen “it” late at night, when she is pulling into their driveway.

Carol realized that she is not crazy and that they have Sasquatch in NH. She shares with us some of the strange encounters and experienced that she has witnessed over the years.

If you have had an encounter email me wes@sasquatchchronicles.com

This was a great episode. A lot of information and all good. I feel for the family, I wouldn’t want that in the back of my mind all the time!.

So I see the troll firsters seem to have arrived again. Hope you stop the nonsense. Go elsewhere.

      • Jim D

You know what it is Tad, and why in a LOT of us invokes bad let’s say ‘feelings’ is because that was a big thing for a long time over at the Bigfoot Evidence comment section and started happening right at the same time that the troll invasion came there, making it virtually a useless place to even BOTHER reading or making any comments at. We started to see the same group of disruptors with their multiple personalities showing up here at SC in the (thankfully) now defunct Forum Section . Had you been there and seen how they RUINED Shawn’s site as far as any rational discourse is concerned then you too would be a little let’s say standoffish towards that kind of stuff. Am I pretty much on it there Frankie P?

Carol great story good documentation, what part of n.h. Are you in . I was told there was something at the base of the twins that like to crawl up on campsites.people should lay trail camera

Very good interview and I appreciate the people willing to share their experiences! There is so much not known yet and hard to believe but even harder to discount all those regular folks like us who have these life changing encounters. Thanks for sharing and thanks for giving us all a place to learn.

  4. Pat T

Once again Wes, another guest confirms the safe haven this show provides them when it comes to sharing their encounters. Carol, the events that have occurred on your property sound very believable and want to thank you for letting us all in on them. To all the brave guests that take the time and courage needed to come on Wes’s show a big shout out…… Thanks!!

  5. James W

I have a real problem with this women she sees something see cannot explain with exceptional detail years before and then tries to convince her daughter what she saw was a figment of the girls imagination out of the same window. Not hard to figure out this Bigfoot is attracted to her daughter and children in general

  6. Debbie C

    Carol’s interview,
    Her daughter has witness Bigfoot/Sasquatch
what sounds like many times along with the daughter’s friends as well. To dismiss as your imagination,
monsters are not real, it must be something else?
Carol has had the same things happen to her.
It wouldn’t take that long for me or my husband to investigate the situation, place flood lights around my property along with
    trail cams.
I hope Carol’s husband opens up to her that he too knows these
    creatures to be Sasquatch/Bigfoot.
    Nice interview~
I’m looking forward to the upcoming episode with the man
    who flies into remote terrane.

      Gail
I was hanging up the phone, saw it–without it registering, continued walking, then it registered/sunk in and then I immediately turned back to look. It wasn’t there. I was never scared and I was sure my eyes were playing tricks on me.

      • Gail d

I don’t understand why you would think it is your imagination. It’s not like you were asleep and woke up out of a deep sleep then I could see you questioning what you saw; you were wide awake talking on the phone. Still I am glad everyone in your house is safe awesome encounters and thank you for telling us about it.

Wes I have a ? for you I heard someone some where (maybe) here say that one reason people are having more encounters is not only the population of more an more people into forested areas but that its possible that when the new world was discovered an the white men brought small pox an other sickness to the natives that the bigfoot also became sick an a lot of them died too. Now they have (over the years) built up resistance an started repopulating ???

  8. robin c

Wes do you think that one reason for more sightings an encounters is because when the white man brought small pox an other things here years ago that lot of them died off as so many of are native americans did an now they are repopulating?

  9. robin c

Wes do you think that one reason for more an more sightings could be that when the white man brought small pox an such here that a lot of them died? Like did native americans now they are repopulating???

Man, I really love the energy on SC. Just filled with amazing people from all different walks of life from all different parts of the world. So many different people who come together for a common goal. It’s honestly quite beautiful. The unity, the honesty, n the progress is one of the big reasons I love this website. It’s something that you cannot find on other sasquatch based shows or websites. This show is second to none for many reasons. N in a topic that people are just looking out for themselves n willing to step on anyone to get to the top, it’s great to see that there are still people out there that are just looking for the truth. I’m extremely proud to be on the right end of it all with the rest of the Sasquatch Chronicles community with all these great people who don’t know each other personally but still have each other’s back. You just can’t find that anywhere else except SC

  11. Christian L

Wes…interesting….I’m originally from Maine…I wrote to you on email…..I saw a “skinny” tall thing in the 80s…..I wonder if they vary body style by region AND season….maybe they slim down in winter for lack of food….and threrefore you’d think they would be more dangerous as they’re hungry!!! Just interesting that someone from NE also reports thin squatches and not the hulking Giants.

  12. Milton L

Yard lights seem to be a first thought if somebody is prowling about. The “first thought” for lighting seems always to be lights on the corner eves of the house. It may not the best option if there is a large enough yard. Lights placed further from the residence would make a silhouette, and it might easier to spot a prowler (of whatever species) fleeing the scene. Non-typical lighting placement is worth considering.

  13. Papa - Yeti

It does seem rather way off character for such a Tyrant of the forest with such a horrid disposition, but could it be reserved when it approaches glass due to its sometimes seen reflection within the windows. How would such a wild Human –like creature perceive of such an odd sometime occurrence? Such an ugly face reflected in a truck window and even more so within the side mirrors of the vehicle? And what even odder occurrence to bend down upon its knees to dip its massive hairy hand into its quivering – rippling self image in the still water as the morning dawns and the ire mist rises up from the surface of the pound, as it then purses its goofy lips to slurp cool water. What does it think of blue damselflies, and bulbous eyed four winged orange and the green dragon flies? And what do these four winged odd insects that dart about, hover and rest upon down upon downy brown cattails think of such monstrous odd beasts like Humans and even more so the Sasquatch, the children of them. Do they the Sasquatch as well cherish the bee hive clover and wild fire vetch honey as do we Humans and the bear that fear them? Do they name their new born babes? Are the Sasquatch at all times horrible and so destructive to all ling creatures and Forests of trees. Do they have Passion, do they dream, do they miss their Lovers? What is this tyrant beasts killing our dogs, mustering deer, frightening the Bears and gazing in the windows of the woodland cabin at night?

Thank you fore yet another great show Wes, and great strength and peace to the Carol and her family.

  14. Annelise B

I still think that we will eventually come to understand that the dispositions of these creatures varies as widely as the dispositions of humans do…and by type or “tribe” (region). That’s what the Native Americans in Washington / Oregon say, some types are generally less aggressive (although must be left alone) while others can be incredibly murderous towards humans. You can never guess which one you might run into! Which sadly makes the wilderness much more potentially dangerous than the vast majority of people guess. To me, following the Native American advice, “Trust me, you do not want to find these things!” seems smartest, but still I find the stories of these chance sightings and encounters incredibly fascinating. It’s amazing how “precious few” scientists have had the courage to give credence to these accounts! I wonder when that will finally change?! When it does–won’t that be interesting?!

  15. Christopher c

This was a treat! I did not know we were going on a Washington state field trip tonight! I just got back from a Paul Rogers concert @ ry and now Washington ! awesome job Wes sorry you got rained out of the big T brother, hopefully all that rain will set the atmosphere for some major activity when you get out on the grade again, thanks again for keepin’em coming SASCHRON!

  16. Janetta V

Carol, Why in the world did it take you so long to admit the obvious? Sounds like you have been in denial. You do not need to keep saying you’re crazy. You’re not. But please wake up before someone gets hurt. J.V. Good luck.

  17. Christian L

I understand the psychology of denial to a point but this constant stretching/rationalization/denial for other things this could be when these things or heaven forbid dogmen eat people especially kids is annoying to the point of negligence. Maybe her husband knows more than he’s letting on but his families safety should be paramount and his denial is putting his family in danger …lights….guns (big ones)….electric/barb wire fences….maybe noise makers….

  18. DonRay

Awesome encounterS…. i have to email you Wes (I know i’ve said this before)….. there are 3 types in New England…. and a old Indian legend that may describe a 4th type….. i just have to sit and type.. 🙁 keep up the hard work Wes. Ciao

  19. Peter O

Sorry, not sure where else to post this or send it, but is anyone else having problems listening to the shows? I cannot listen to any of the last several of them, reloading the browser, etc., not working, just wondering, and if anyone knows of a solution, that would be great, too!

  20. Jim D

At the 1:06:44 mark when she said “(chuckling) well I ‘think’ it’s ll be fine” my mind flashed right to that scene in The Rolling Stones’ movie Gimme Shelter when Mick Jagger sees that it’s all gone to hell in a hand-basket, the Hells Angels are out of their minds on LSD and a blood rage, and the crowd is shaking their heads at Jagger asking him “Why?” and he’s singing Under My Thumb. They’re at the end of the song and Mick’s singing “it’s all right, yea It’s alright, I pray that it’s alright I PRAY that it’s alright” and then the song ends and then the black guy in the lime green suit gets murdered on screen buy a knife-wielding motorcycle creep. Don’t just say “it’ll be alright” be pro-active, you are OBVIOUSLY not a crazy person, get those cameras up on the trees and make a plan of counter-intelligence against these very smart, very patient, and as we are ALL coming now to believe very very dangerous and possibly deadly …yea…I’ll say it; MONSTERS.

  21. Deborah H

Carol, I live in southeastern Vermont. I was wondering if you could tell me if you are near Pisgah State Park. I have a friend who likes to hike there alone, and if this is the park you are talking about I want to let her know. I also would love to talk to you, as I am very interested in this subject. Wes does such a great job with this show. I love listening to the encounters. Anyways Carol, if you feel like talking my email is : dhiggie@icloud.com I enjoyed listening to your story.

      • NHSquatcher

Thanks for clarifying that Carol. I wonder why they list Pisgah as the largest? Bear Brook is pretty big too…looks bigger on the map.

But now I’m REALLY pumped because I am right smack in that area…. the capital of NH is Concord, so it’s not that far from civilization!

NH is almost 90% forest so why am I surprised?

I have heard about whole families of Bigfoot in towns like Deering as well which is to the West of Bear Brook.

        • Carol S

If you haven’t already, check out sightings in NH at Crypto Crew and Bigfoot Encounters! Lots of interesting stuff, including more current sightings for the state.

          • NHSquatcher

Carol would you consider coming back on the show with Wes for a 2019 update? Have you had any activity in the last 4 years since this interview?

  22. Andrew O

Another excellent show. It’s good to hear people literally feeling relieved after telling their stories without the fear of being ridiculed. You’re doing such a good job, Wes :o)

  23. NHSquatcher

Even though the staid New Englanders do not like to admit they have seen monsters, they are smart and know they are not mistaking bears or cows or deer for a Squatch. I have long maintained that there are plenty of them here and why not? We have mostly forest in our little state, which I think is the best place to live in the country. 🙂

This past March or April, the Finding Bigfoot crew was here (yeah I know, some of you think they are stupid, but they are funny) and we missed the town hall. It was way up in the mountains and a very snowy night so we could not have driven anyway (Ranae said it was a long ride home due to the roads, to wherever they were staying). So we can’t wait to see the NH episode because finally there will be people talking about these ‘hotspots’.

The furthest south there has been a sighting was in Hollis in the 1970s. Hollis is considered southern NH.. as it is very near the Mass border.

  24. Sean C

I used to like Finding Bigfoot, but I quickly realized that they weren’t finding anything, and the repetition started to become too much. Plus, after hearing Ranae basically question the legitimacy of every single witness, and say “I still can’t say it wasn’t a guy in a suit,” about 200 times, I just had to stop watching. Clearly, people have more patience than I, because they are in season 6 or 7 now? But hey, when I think of the quality of all of the other reality shows out there, those guys really don’t look so bad. At least it is interesting subject matter, unlike all of the drama that we are shown about families and people who are famous for no reason at all! I don’t care, I watch commercial free stuff now anyway. Cheers all!

    Chris

I just finished listening again! This was such a great show! Thank you so much Wes, and thank you too, Carol, for all of the experiences that you shared with us! Damn, when you were in the tent, that must have been scary as hell! When your daughter called and asked if her dad was outside messing with them, I could almost see that happening, because I know one of my daughters would’ve done the same thing, and I just couldn’t have gotten out of the house fast enough. My youngest is 12 now, and her and I used to go camping all the time. We live close to the Sam Houston National Forest, so now when we do camp, it’s usually at the beach in Galveston, and we don’t go nearly as much as we used to.
Please be very careful out there! Thanks again Carol, for sharing so much with us! God bless you and your family, and all of the wonderful hearts in the world!

    Chris

  26. jadescope

wow….that was loaded with good stuff. I enjoyed the perspectives of both witnesses. Well presented. Exceptional witnesses able to share more than the words of their experiences but how their thinking and senses moved through their processes.

I’ve listened a second time and honed in on a few things that may be worth mentioning in regards to Caroline’s experiences. fwiw

Safety First – As a retired RN and mother of girls……I’m going to be direct…….Be aware that female hormonal cycles may play a role in how interested the forest people might be and may affect the behaviours of some. Your daughter has likely moved or is moving into an ovulation cycle during the years. I have come to feel this is a point to be brought up as a possible pattern of behaviour if the link does exist. Bear behaviours have been linked (some of those were “alleged” bear aggressions).

Window-knocking and other noise-making behaviours right at the house/porch may have to do with checking out the status of the inhabitants of the house/yard. C’s sense is that these beings are in a “moving through” her area (yard) as part of how they live in the “wild”. I had an opportunity to investigate a sighting and other experiences where this also seemed to be the case. Pebbles tossed at the upper story bathroom window when used/light on during the night, slapping the house, calls, even the sighting seemed to have to do with attempting to provoke action/reaction. Measuring threat/danger (is the homeowner coming out guns ablazing?) and tolerance (homeowners did not move away, they quit turning the light on in the bathroom during the middle of the night).

Trail cams – can be effective deterrent(s) however, messing with trail cams can be part of sasquatch behaviour(s). Persistence and number of cameras can be successful it may take some time and some weird camera captures before effective as deterrent.

Noises – I’m wondering if the Hoo Hoo noise/vocalization the witness has heard can be described as the sound made when one blows air across the top of a bottle. Big bottle, larger opening (like gallon jug might not be large enough) given a short single “note” to produce a sound that is not quite vocal but very breathy/present. I have heard this odd noise and was really excited once I learned how to describe it. If this fits the Hoo noise Caroline spoke of, I’d like to know.

Fear of fear is real. It can even be the root of real distortion of our life view and experiences (living) Knowledge is the way to keep fear in its place and perspective. Keeping balanced and staying healthy can be found in knowledge. Sharing is knowledge.

Sasquatch Chronicles is helping us all learn and be properly respectful of our safety and of these creatures in their own habitat and in ours (which was all their habitat at one time).

That reminds me…..the pacing and posturing behaviour speaks to me of acting out frustrations. You/your behaviour is in their usual way/route/path. They are stopped in their tracks (going about doing what it is they do) and are acting out/ reacting and letting it be known. The unknown here is each sasq’s ability to deal with it. Real possibility of aggression towards the ‘obstructers’. This acting out can also elicit aggressive behaviours (guns ablazing indicates little or no tolerance on behalf of the obstructers)…..and bad things do happen. What we are seeing/hearing about aggressive sasq and dire outcomes may have started as noisy frustrated sasqs and aggressive reaction(s) by the obstructers . I see it as a possibility even a pattern that can be linked from reports new and old.

OK, nuff said for now. I am a satisfied listener. mj

    • Carol S

Wow Jadescope, I like the way you are looking “in” to these encounters. I think you are on target! The “hooing” is rather bass or low toned and moderated oddly. I wish I could explain that. The best I can come up with is trailing off then rising in pitch, then dropping…..it was just odd. Equally odd, was that it seemed to be two voices, back and forth. One in whispered tone, the other like it was unable to whisper. Dunno what to make of it….

  27. NHSquatcher

On second thought, you have to pay $4 pp to get in, and being that it’s labor day weekend, there are bound to be a lot of people there. So we are going to opt for a midweek visit instead, which should mean the park is less populated seeing it’s after school has started here in NH.

I was not aware that the park was ‘developed’ in such a way, as I am seeing in the ads online. I know that if Pigsah is not developed, it’s less likely that people see things there, but that doesn’t mean they are not there, in fact they are more likely to be there due to less people.

In any case I will report back on this thread after we’ve been to let you know if we see anything!

  28. NHSquatcher

Checking back with Carol S. now that the episode of Finding Bigfoot was aired this past Sunday night January 17 2016.

So proud of how the team was very impressed with NH as they did not expect to find such breathtaking surroundings that are the majority of NH’s terrain, with ‘real’ towering mountains and completely uninhabited (84%) woods. They said it was every bit as dense and vast as what they see in the pacific northwest.

I have to wonder if Carol S was part of that town hall? There was a young blond woman who stood up and talked about Squatches walking past her windows, and I wondered if that was not Carol? However, they only concentrated on Cherry Mountain and Frankenstein Cliffs, never going down to Deering, Allenstown, or Concord, very southern NH, where Carol and others have claimed sightings. BoBo assures me they loved NH so much that they would be back, as they never expected so many people to report sightings.

Allenstown, as you can see from this map, is very close to where Carol is, and both are just outside of Concord, the capital city of NH.

    http://www.bigfootencounters.com/stories/bear-brook.htm

Carol, the team apparently came to NH because the proprietor of Bretton Woods Hotel invited them, have you ever contacted them?

  29. Waylon M

I bet it was her imagination, I dont understand why parents dont believe their kids, 9/10 most kids are telling the truth. So the mom was probaly imagining what ever she saw. Bad dream maybe..

  30. Tammi C

Is Carol from NH originally? Very different dialect and vocab for NHer-ite. Also if she had her sighting before her daughter had her sighting then why would she question her daughter and disregard it as just her imagination?

Hmmm…. was that a mistake? Also, Bear Brook State Patk area?
