SC EP:1129 It Entered The Cabin

I will be welcoming Ron to the show. He had an encounter back in the early 1990’s. Ron said “We were on vacation, staying in this cabin in U.P. Michigan. The family was down swimming and fishing. I came back to the cabin and I thought someone was in there. I got to the room I thought an intruder or a thief was in there but something told me not to go in there.

Sasquatch never crossed my mind.

As I grabbed my shotgun it ran out. I followed it out but lost sight of it. As I walked into the forest looking, the intruder got up and ran for the water and jumped in. It wasn’t human, it reminded me of non human primate. I never saw it come up for air, it could have swam around the bay in an area I could not see. It was the strangest thing that ever happened to me.”

I don’t see any of this as a miracle. I see it differently. I believe it’s demonic. I’m so glad you were able to go through it and come out OK. I really appreciate you sharing your story.

Think about it, I don’t know of any angelic beings that lurk in the darkenss of shadows nvokoe fear, screams at people and do the horrible things they do to people.

Great episode and interesting story. Wes I think you stumped the guy on evolution though. I have never heard anyone when pressed on the evolution theory explain it in a meaningful way. Just a bunch of random happen stance that supposed to come together at the perfect time to create new species. I just don’t buy it. No disrespect to the guest,he seemed well educated on the subject and I enjoyed listening to him

  1. Cheryl O

Very interesting episode. Loved the discussion at the end about evolution, and I thought you asked some really good questions. Wish you had another hour to pick his brain. I, too, have the same questions and doubts about evolution as you. Good job. By the way, I became a member just because of this very episode. Have been listening for a couple of years, but really enjoyed your intellegent and insightful questions. Please have more guests like this.

  2. Laura K

It was really fascinating. I have the same type of questions as you do about evolution. Your guest did a pretty good job explaining a possible scenario. I happen to like the extra long episodes!

  3. Michael H

Look-up and read the letter from Ivan Panin to the NY Sun from 1899. Panin, who was a Russian Jew and a Harvard scholar, wrote over 40,000 pages of analysis like you’ll read in the letter, which proves with easy-to-understand yet astonishing, mind-boggling evidence, that God and God only is the author of the Bible. You’ll never doubt the Bible is the truth once you read that letter.

  4. Jan A

WROOOONG.. THAT FISH YOU TALK ABOUT MILLIONS MILLIOMS YEARS AGA,,,AND NOW IT IS LIVING TODAY,AND NOTHING A
HAVE CHANGE ON THAT FICH. we are here by design

  5. Daniel M

a quick response on evolutionary theory. first off Wes, your questions were insightful and important. Your line of thinking about mating with Sasquatch is spot on. That always bugs me when people say it’s a human x hybrid. I always think a hybrid of what (besides human).

I studied physical anthro in school. We had to read things like Dawkins The Blind Watchmaker. To me, it always seemed like special pleading. Complexity from nothing. Of course people like Lawrence Kraus will say it wasn’t nothing. On and on they go in circles never explaining the origins.

In college and when I was doing archaeology I would ask people about the catalysts to evolution. I was never satisfied with the answers. I grew up thinking it was fact and never questioning it because that’s what I was taught.

Michael Behe and Stephen Meyer really have shed enormous light on these and other problems. They are both creationists, but are always professional scientists. Meyer talks about the sophisticated data that codes cells and how that can’t come from a basal evolved process.

Behe speaks on microevolution being fact (adaptations among species), and while macro evolution being a fiction (species cannot create other species, for instance. Many scientists are unhappy with the model. Of course most still push it, but it’s not a united front like they will tell you.

I think you are right to question and be skeptical of it. It really is a house of cards. If you want to go a a step further, look into the Cambrian Explosion. You’ll hear a line of Darwinian defense for it being explained away, but it really presents a problem for that theory.

    My 3 cents

    • Charles R

Thats a good two cents IMO, Daniel M. Probably about 25 years ago or so, I was listening to an Art Bell episode I remember far to little about, but the author, I forget, talked about antenna type receptors in cells that can communicate with the God Particles.

  6. James G

I have a MS master of science and double major in the biological sciences, and nothing tells me these beings are explainable. Nothing about this beings behavior screams animal. Would an animal dive into water, like literally dive hands first? It would jump. Why would an animal care about being seen and hide, especially an alpha predator? How did it open the bedroom door and leave the cabin without being seen? How did it know exactly when to leave the room when you had turned your head for a split second all while behind the door? What was the STRONG feeling or dread and KNOWING someone was in the cabin and NOT to enter that room. I personally believe they can some type of way project emotions and feelings. I think it was a juvenile male and was there because of the girls. Not to be gross, but I would bet money one was on her cycle.

  7. Conor O

evolution is not a theory….. it continues to this day and will continue too happen long after human beings are extinct….. this is not the final form…. so sorry Wes but you tried to bring YOUR religious beliefs into things….. thank goodness that gentle man was not actually trying to prove point…….. like you were… quite disappointing really… 😞

        • Rebecca M

Good point on the Sasquatch attractant. I like to think also that if Sasquatch could project thoughts, he could also hear Ron’s thoughts? It has to be a form of communication. Every thought Ron had was likely monitored.

Humans have used selection to breed cattle, horses and dogs to get desirable traits, so evolution is still happening, but with our help. Yes, a theory that works.

    • Jan A

No listen freind..there is a tribe that lunt under water, and When they are born, they pop ther eardrome,so they Can go deep, and they Can hold there breath for 15 or so. But if you tog a chrild from that tribe and put it on fostercare, and the kid grew up,then the kid ,now growing up,Would not could DIVE deep for 15min. Evolution Can only happe from you are born to you die.
      Does that make sense??

  8. Ric M

Thanks Wes! I love the shows that last over an hour. I still prefer Genesis over evolution. LOL! I wonder when it dove into the water if it went into a tavern under the earth like that episode from the guy visiting his sister in Florida. The same episode where the cop hit the Skunk Ape and it also tore the head off the bull. Probably explains why it never surfaced.

  9. Ed A

Most Human beings are not capable of thinking in the scale necessarty to understand how many generations of creatures have happened since the Cambrian Explosion. Hundreds of millions of generations have happened. The simpletons who believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible claim only less than 100 since Adam.

  10. Lee M

This is your best episode in a min..he’s very logical….instead of nephilim or supernatural. This thing lives it’s whole life in the wild..u go live in the forest for a century let’s c if yall don’t evolve by senses growth etc.. loved this episode ..he was saying what we all thought literally

  11. Lee M

It’s like being raised in the military…you adapt you don’t know else to act….if I threw you out in the forest you would be a wild man unrecognizable…but you would know I was there before I noticed u …I promise u that…plus the other male side gene which is unrecognizable by our data banks …the mother side is human….why question the father as supernatural….years generations of evolution yes evolution were u can adapt to your surrounding ….it’s like …you creating your own land building your own house with security cameras your gonna know who steps on your property period ….and the governments involved..which creates confusion….it’s pure evolution period …this thing has adapted for centuries according to the natives right wes? Why deny this theory you go with supernatural before logical I don’t get that…like seriously let me throw you in the forest correct with your loved one for the rest of your life a little but of time with natural food ect whatever u can survive on and then bread and continue the cycle u thing your gonna be easy on your kids ….he’ll no..your gonna teach them.the dangers ect ect ..and get stronger ….sleeping in the woods without fire or light….getting food for your family your body …is naturally gonna adapt my brotha…..it has to stop the supernatural go with logic

  12. Jan A

Well gåde morning, i was a bit fast Oticon oure guest Yesterday but.i Would like to say.that this fish havent change since “millions of years ago”
And what about the walking stik ?ho w didt it know to camoflace it self as a stik? …and if you try. to tell me that ,,it was the onlyone that survived becoz of the camo..then i say..still someone have designe it.and thats only. The walking stik we are

  13. Jan A

Talking about. And i have to REACKT whan a person COME on the show trying to tell me that we are millions of years old…wrong

  14. Charles R

That quote Ron expressed also was what my Father told me. He also told me that laws are made for lawyers and judges. I asked him who should I believe. He answered that i could believe him. The power to hold its breath for a long time, and ability to swim fast, probably faster than us I believe to be true. Thisis not the first time I have mostly read, about them going under the water and never seen again. Could this also be an energy transformation like what Ron Morehead writes about in The Quantum Bigfoot? Never heard of a hominid hibernating. They seem to be able to indure extreme cold being seen as far North as the Artic Circle, and extreme heat being in South Florida. You asked the same question I was wondering, Wes. Can you evolve that fruit fly into Bee, much simpler than my thought of evolving it into a human. I wonder if the juvenille Ron saw, was one of the Adults that ex guest from 2024 saw family of at The Lake of the Clouds and this in close proximity.

  15. Rebecca M

Excellent, excellent show! And I really enjoyed the discussion at the end of the interview. As Ron said earlier in the show, “Curiosity is a sign of intelligence”, Wes, and your intelligence and curiosity is what makes this show so great. I’m not a creationist, because the God I believe in is more of a force that animates the universe than a big old white guy sitting on a throne in the clouds.

  16. Mike C

Does anybody know who played that cover of “Sweet Child of Mine”? it was very raw and very awesome. I would like to download it if anybody knows who that is.

  17. Samantha M

Wes I was shaking my finger at you at the end sir in a very Italian accent saying “cut it out leave that boy alone ” but also loving how you remain utterly disagreeably polite 😭 this is why we love ya

  18. Morgen B

Thankyou for your questions Wes! ❤️ This theory should have never been accepted as fact.
I appreciate your humbleness and how genuine you come across In questioning these things.

  19. Curtis L

What an amazing experience!! I don’t know why but I hear him talk and at times I get total Dr. John Bindernagel vibes just the way he says certain things. So cool!!

  20. Rob H

Anytime someone says ‘Evolution is just a theory’ they really show their ignorance. the field of evolutionary biology is alive and well. It’s honestly hilarious Wes you think somebody dreamed up a ‘cockamayny idea’ 150 years ago and that’s as far as it went. I’m really embarrassed for you dude.

  21. Wendy O

    hi Wes
I think that having the encounter recipient on to ask questions is a great idea , I often listen and can think of some things to ask. thanks for all your hard work and attention

  22. Grace W

Not to speak out of turn – because I’m just some random commenter on the internet and don’t necessarily know anything – but I think it was a bit of a shame Ron couldn’t have given you a better example of evolution in modern times. There’s plenty of fascinating examples.
Elephants in Africa (Specifically Gorongosa Nation Park in Mozambique a study was done fairly recently) are increasingly being born without tusks. While tusks do help elephants in the wild, foraging for food and digging up roots and for intimidation and impressing the lady elephants, more and more of them are being born without them. Why? Because of poaching. Their ivory makes them a huge target. There’s a mutation or two that causes these elephants to not grow their impressive tusks and those elephants are living longer because the poachers don’t kill them. As a side note, this mutation is on the X chromosome, and males only have one, making it very unlikely for them to be born with this mutation (huge simplification, but in a nutshell.)
Another example you can see just by looking down at your own arm right now – assuming you have arms, of course. Pinch your fingers together like your grabbing a pinch of salt, then bring your wrist towards you. The majority of us will see a little bump on our wrist as our tendon sticks out, but some people are born without it – one study published in the National Library of Medicine (Hypotheses for Ongoing Evolution of Muscles of the Upper Extremity, 2015) said that in their sample group up to 20% of people didn’t have this little tendon. To put this in perspective, only about 1 to 2% of people have red hair. The theory as to why people are being born without it is that we don’t need it anymore- your average person isn’t doing a lot of the type of climbing that the tendon helps support, there’s no evolutionary benefit to having it anymore – so more people are being born without it. If you got back in time a couple hundred years, the percentage of people missing that tendon would probably be way lower – though I don’t have a time machine and can’t prove it.
Everything is so complex and our world is so vast. I think evolution is often explained poorly, which leads people to disagreeing with it – I mean, if something doesn’t make any sense why would you believe it? I think of it more like a game of chance. For example, I’d like to grow American chestnut trees one day but there’s a problem – in the early 1900s a fungus blight made it’s way to the states, destroying our native populations of chestnut trees, causing them to nearly go extinct. By luck of the genetic lottery or perhaps the grace of God, some trees are born a little more resistant to the blight or have hybridized with Chinese chestnuts who have a greater immunity to it. To pull a random number, say you have a thousand baby chestnut trees – maybe a handful of these will make it to adulthood and if your trees get struck by the blight, maybe two or three of five of them may even have some level of immunity. These trees will spread their own seeds and with luck, their seeds will grow into healthy chestnuts that are tolerant of the fungus blight. For more information on this, look up The American Chestnut Foundation, or just google “american chestnut” – it’ll be one of the first things to pop up. The American Chestnut Foundation is working on growing hundreds of thousands of chestnuts with the goals of growing more chestnuts that are tolerant to the blight and restoring chestnuts to their native environments.
I don’t like the phrase “survival of the fittest”. This makes people think of big, strong hulking beasts crushing little critters under their heels. This isn’t always the case. I think it’s a matter of chance what lives and dies – but being better adapted to your circumstances certainly gives you a leg up, if that makes any sense. To some people, this “chance” isn’t luck at all, but divine influence and that’s a fine way to look at it too. I’m going to stop rambling now and eat a toaster strudel.

  23. Jan A

Neantertaler was a race for its own Race.
When people ask me,how Can God created Adam and Eve. .and i answer,it says Adam and Eve was the first humans, so that Will say others was also created.
And if we COME from a fish crawling from the water,or ans ape, why is there stil not comming apes running out the forest .
The good book have the answers. .ad you cant date a rock.

  24. David H

Wes when I was in the 5th grade, my teacher told me that the only stupid question was the one not asked. that is how we learn, keep asking and keep learning. And stop putting yourself down for things you do not understand yet. God bless and keep you.

  25. richard r

u did ask him what did he think they were and he did answer your question. i wish everybody had such a thorough answer even if it wasn’t what i believed in.
i believe in evolution but only within our own species. limited evolution like people getting struck by lightening can be changed within the brain like enhanced memory or the other way around. environmental changes can change our bodies to adapt and so forth.
some people get hit in the head and become geniuses’ all the sudden. that kind of evolution. the brain is funny that way.

  26. Thomas R

Wes, the changes you speak of occur over the course of many generations, not just one to the next. It seems that those who deny evolution are always those who have the least understanding of it. You can’t deny science, and then refer to scientific theory to support your position

    • Jason G

There’s science and then there’s “the science.” The plandemic should illustrate that well enough. Evolution is complete and total B.S. Science has proven it to be B.S. Genetic mutations are almost always destructive in nature. And for the sake of argument, let’s pretend that random mutations to the genetic code are beneficial. We see no evidence in the fossil record to illustrate this. When we find a fossil, the vast majority of the time it is a fossil we have found many times before. There are no “in between” fossils or links between species to show a fish turning into a snake or a snake turning into a mammal for instance. In fact we see no evidence of evolution in the fossil record at all. But for evolution to have a chance of standing up to reality there would have to be fossil record of it and in fact there is not. Furthermore, there would be FAR GREATER number of fossils that were mutations between species yet there are none. And so, “the science” keeps looking for “the missing link” in vain. It’s a theory only and quite a terrible one at that. Genetic code is the result of intelligent design. Plain and simple. And how do we date fossils? We say a fossil is x amount of years old based on what layer we find the fossil. How do we date the layer? We date the layer on what fossils we find in it… And what of all the fossils we find that don’t fit into the religion of evolution like the many humanoid footprints next to that of dinosaurs? What of sandal prints next to trilobites that can be found in creation museums? Or does that science not fit “the science?”

  27. devon c

Wow. There are some pretty extreme ideas about what evolution is… or isn’t… on this thread.

Wes, why don’t you invite Dr. Jeff Meldrum from Idaho State to come on the show to discuss evolution specifically regarding anthropology? It might help listeners to understand that evolution does NOT say that we come from monkeys, and the leaps that have been made since DNA was established as a reliable tool for discovery?
    It certainly couldn’t hurt.

  28. Charles L

First part of the episode is as thought provoking as the second half but in a different way. And on a different level. Evolution should always happen and continually, the same process should be happening continually. The basic levels of evolution should always be happening.

  29. Mike L

have not heard this one. As a general rule, evolution by itself has been heavily rejected as evolution was first proffered. Further, Darwin who is credited with popularizing Evolution, completely opposed it being hoisted about as fact of creation. He viewed it as a theory, and borrowed it from others. We can look all day, for complete answers… but no matter your beliefs, it takes way to much faith to believe in evolution as a fact…. evolution, is just — it is only— a theory. That is all

  30. Daniel M

I live a very short ride up the road from the bridgewater triangle on just under ten acres, and I’ve never had a Sasquatch sighting but I’ve clearly seen an orb floating around the tops of the trees behind my house, and once while driving to my aunts, with her in bridgewater and saw something flying high above my car that I can’t explain, I’m not sure about Sasquatch or anything else but there is definitely more out here than what usually meets the eye

  31. Matthew O

So, what stands out most to me about this encounter is that the Sasquatch somehow “knew” the exact instance he turned his head to look away, without any direct visual contact, to exit the room and immediately exit through the front door. That, in conjunction with the overwhelming impulse to not enter that room, is strong evidence for these creatures on some level being able to read or understand our brainwaves; which is based in actual science. Great interview, thank you Wes.
