A listener writes “Wes, I had an encounter in 2003 while fishing with a friend on the SC/NC border. It started with a yell that I assumed was a coon hunter since it was around midnight and we were way out in the woods. A little while later, HUGE rocks 60-100 pound rocks started hitting the water and one on the bank 20 feet away. We noticed red eyes on the other side of the river that just stared at us but We couldn’t see anything when We shined a spotlight on them. We left and came back the following weekend to explore the other side of the river.
A month or two later, I asked my friend to go fishing with me in the same spot and he wouldn’t go. His dad told me he had been coon hunting on the other side of the river and had been “run out” by what sounded like a bear and ran faster than him. He left his dogs, his grandfather’s gun and even the Jon boat he used to cross the river, all on the other side. He opened up and talked to me about it one time and told me a mutual friend of ours had a similar experience while deer hunting over there.
My friends won’t talk about it anymore and won’t even cross the river to get their gear back. My friend asked me to get his grandfather’s .22 if I ever went across the river again and offered to pay me but said it would rust into the ground before he goes back in there.
I’ve only told a Few people about the experience that happened 15 years ago and I’ve been ridiculed ever since. I’d like the chance to tell my story while remaining anonymous.”

That’s freaky. I cant imagine seeing those red eyes and shining a spotlight, only to see nothing.

Miss Denise, if you saw red eyes like that, those squatches would see red eyes looking back at them… since you wear those mirror sunglasses. ;^) Just funnin’ with you, dear. :^)

I can’t imagine leaving my dogs to fend for themselves ..sasquatch or no sasquatch! That’s downright cruel …

I agree Denise. I would have left my kids behind.
Only kidding or am I? Lol. Glad no one was hurt. 100lb rock can do some damage.
