Michio Kaku – Are there Extra Dimensions?

Michio Kaku is an American theoretical physicist, the Henry Semat Professor of Theoretical Physics in the City College of New York of City University of New York, a futurist, and a communicator and popularizer of science. He has written several books about physics and related topics; he has made frequent appearances on radio, television, and film; and he writes extensive online blogs and articles. He has written two New York Times Best Sellers, Physics of the Impossible (2008) and Physics of the Future (2011).

Extra dimensions—beyond length, width, height—seem like the stuff of science fiction. What would extra dimensions be like?

Math can be weird sometimes, usually when it goes against some of our most common knowledge, yet still can make sense. This is one of those times.

This is one to ponder. Crazy how my mind has gone “tilt” after listening to you and Tony for the last 2 years. And then I move to Northern Idaho and the mind set is so different than Eugene, Oregon, which is a good thing but wow! Thanks for all the information you brings us.

Art Bell is the person that started Michio Kaku on his road to fame back in the 90s and where I first came in contact with him, as he was a frequent guest. What a breath of fresh air for me as he was willing to put forth the possibility of the theoretical and would get into discussion of Aliens actually being here in these UFO craft, where as Carl Sagan, who was considered ” the go to man ” in the later 20th century was just so closed minded and did a huge dis service to the public. That is not to say Carl did not do some great things, he did.

As another poster above, was turned on to Michio Kaku via Art Bell in the 90’s. Have listened to Kaku for many years. Long enough that I began to call him Michio Kookoo. Not putting down whether or not there are other dimensions. Maybe there are? Huge universe. As stated, listened to him long enough that at some point….he went off point. No. Didn’t listen to the above. Wouldn’t be able to handle hearing him.
