Mysterious Ancient Samaipata In The Jungle Of Bolivia

Samaipata is a small town in the eastern foothills of the Bolivian Andes. It’s a gateway to Amboró National Park, with its cloud forest, waterfalls and diverse birdlife. Just east of town are the ruins of the ancient ceremonial site El Fuerte. In the town center, Samaipata Archaeological Museum displays artifacts from the pre-Incan site. Colonial buildings and cobbled streets surround the main square Plaza Principal.
