SC EP:1247 Naked & Afraid

Spoke to the witness and he has agreed to come on the show. A listener writes “I recently attended a meeting of my local Purple Heart chapter for combat wounded veterans. There were six of us in total three from the Global War on Terror and three Vietnam veterans.

What stood out was that every Vietnam veteran who had been wounded shared that they had seen what they called a “rock ape.”

As they told their stories, the rest of us those from GWOT, myself included remained quiet.  After the meeting, I spoke privately with another GWOT veteran, who admitted he had also witnessed unusual things while serving as an Army instructor on a base.

My own experience happened on the eastern shore of Cougar Reservoir in Oregon. I was camping with my family when, close to midnight, something began approaching our campsite. I first heard heavy footsteps about 100 meters away. As it drew closer, I realized I had to stand my ground. It was moving toward us steadily not sprinting, but deliberately giving my ex-wife time to turn on the SUV’s lights and get our two toddlers out of the tent and into the vehicle, about 40 feet away.

I positioned myself between the approaching figure and my family. It came down from a hill toward our campsite by the water, a distance I later confirmed to be about 100 meters. When it got within roughly 40 meters, I fired a couple of warning shots with my 9mm, though it felt completely inadequate. My plan, if it came closer, was to aim for the eye shine to buy my family more time.

At around 20 30 meters, I could feel the vibration of its footsteps through the ground beneath my bare feet. Strangely, it kept its eyes covered as it approached. The SUV’s headlights were shining directly at it on high beams, yet I couldn’t see any eye reflection. I’ve never been able to shake the feeling that it understood what I was trying to do.

It stopped about 12 feet in front of me and remained there while we finished loading the car. Once everyone was inside, I slowly backed away, got into the SUV, and drove us out along the narrow road leading from the campsite.

For most of the encounter, I actually thought I was dealing with an elephant something large that could move quietly despite its size. I heard no brush breaking, despite the dense vegetation only the sound of its footsteps. I didn’t smell anything, even when it was close. When I finally saw it clearly, my first thought was that it looked almost artificial, like something constructed. It took a while to come to terms with what I saw.

I have no doubt that these creatures exist as living, physical beings. What unsettles me most is the pattern described by the Vietnam veterans each of them had seen one shortly before being wounded in separate incidents. My own encounter came much later, as did the other GWOT veteran’s.

Over the years, I’ve spoken with hundreds of veterans, often asking those with extensive time in the wilderness if they’ve ever experienced anything unusual. Most say no, or mention only distant, unexplained sounds. But in that room of Purple Heart recipients, only one of the six had not directly described seeing something. The rest of us had encountered what appeared to be a large, upright walking ape. Half of those sightings reportedly occurred just days before being wounded. To be fair, the one individual who didn’t share may simply have chosen to remain silent.”

    I remember a missing boyfriend from Cougar Res that happened in the mid 90’s. A person I knew was the girlfriend of a man that went missing. he was camping with his dog and they found the campsite and everything of his was there including the dog. he was never found.

    I was working and a man came in with his son who was 3-4 years old. The boy was wearing a sasquatch shirt. I mentioned this show and he said he’d check it out.

    My strep son is in Ranger school RIGHT NOW. he went in about a month ago and it’s very hard for his dad and I because of everything going on right now in the country. Also, they take the phones of the soldiers when they first go in so we haven’t been able to talk to him. I would love to know if the other Vets he talked to about having an experience with these things ever told him any of their encounter stories. Great episode!

    Theres a clear video of the black shadow humanoid shape, it’s actually super creepy and during daytime. I don’t want to plug another channel on Wes’ page but it’s a small Youtube channel called Outlaw Country based out of BC, super legit page. There are VERY few pages I go to on this topic and Wes and Daron are two of the most informative pages out there by far, I’ve tried them all!

    Chris, I just finished listening to the end of your episode and I want to tell you to remember your happy times spent with your buddies who didn’t make it home and to not focus on the fact that they didn’t.     @Wes, I recently listened to a podcast called the Telepathy Tapes, which is fascinating. It starts out exploring how nonspeaking autistic children are able to communicate with telepathy, and goes on to follow the “tentacles” of telepathy, as it relates to other things. For me it helps connect the dots about the mind speak witnesses have shared with you. You should check out that podcast.

    Thank you for talking about the mindspeak, I completely believe you, I have heard that too, a thought that is in your mind but is not your own. Glad people include this. The thought I got was a “thanks” but I heard it coming out of the deep woods. I had been leaving extra food out, over ripe watermellons, a couple dead rabbits, a dead small snake, etc. Not trying to feed the creature but yeah, food scraps, for sure, got some very happy small animals around here, possums racoons, squirrels. Hawks, bears. Deer. But its an experience different from anything else when something far away speaks like that to you. Thanks for the show Wes and thanks guest!

    Kris, what an amazing encounter thank you for coming forward with your story! my parents raised us kids to be stewards of the forest and desert lands and taught us to be always respectful kind and grateful to the land trees, and animals.
    I’m glad you’re encounter turned out to be a positive event and that you could determine that you And your family were being observed and then protected. The Sasquatch could “see” that you have a good heart with good intent… you handled the situation perfectly!
    I fully agree with your thoughts of the Sasquatch- and the part about the forest going quiet so they can hear our thoughts and know our intent- yes indeed! This makes complete sense to me in my soul.

    Our family members always park the vehicle in the go position. In case of an emergency we to want to be able to hop in and head out. We’ve camped the deep Cascades from north to south – typically not in campgrounds. And I always have the keys and a fresh flashlight in a zipped pocket, even in the sleeping bag.

      I was very careful to pick a campsite as far away from people as i could. I was also armed and with a very alert dog. The campsite was also picked because no one would be able to sneak up on me as it had a decent view of the only road coming in. I grew up in LA and mexico during the 80s and was Ranger qualified with several years in Iraq. No tweaker in the world could keep me away from a beautiful lake. I kinda hoped someone would have tried. I was pretty cocky when it came to dangerous people….Big guy put me in my place pretty quickly.

    I’m honestly so tired of hearing Wes ask why the experiencer thinks the being didn’t hurt or kill them, etc. THEY ARENT VIOLENT LIKE THAT 99% OF THE TIME. He’s listened to sooooo many encounters, why hasn’t he realized that by now? It makes me feel like he’s trying to make them out to be some kind of mindless violent monsters. Which they are obviously not.the amount of peaceful encounters or encounters where nothing violent happens so far outweighs the violent ones. And so many of the violent encounters happen to hunters that have weapons. I just….dont understand.

      I think it was watching my family during the day. The wind must have been just right and the nest perfectly downwind for my dog not to alert. The nest was right on my campsite. 25 feet away from my tent, in thick brush but with a clear view of my whole camp.

    Thanks Chris first for your service. 2nd for a terrific interview of at first a Bluff charge to the camp., and the interaction. Also your all around thoughts really mimic my thoughts for quiite a few years now. Even though at least a couple have been very close to me, I have never heard mind speak. Now I did from an Alien, but that is totally different and I was less than 5 years old.
    A few months ago I listened to “A Flash of Beauty” podcast with either Linda Eastburn or Arla Williams. A couple of ladies that both claim to telepathy with Bigfoots. When asking where they are from the Bigfoot telepathied we are not from here, but we like it here. Take from that what you will.

    My ex and I did a lot of camping in the 80’s & 90’s. Definitely wouldn’t camp again if we had an incident such as this, yikes! Love the song at the end of the podcast, where can I download it?

    Wes is right about frequency having something to with emotion. On one hand we have a natural ability to sense spiritual activity, on the other hand there is manmade technology to interfere with the natural to mimic God given abilities and senses or amplify darkness where it shouldn’t be. This sometimes used technology promotes fear which also lures or conjures spiritual darkness, especially when you lack faith and are unprotected.
    It’s evil people making evil spread through technology and spiritual mockery/mimicry aligned with occult worship for greed, power and control. These techniques are applied in more than just unseen frequencies but in media steering, keeping people divided against each other in judgement, in frameworks and algorithms of recommended content and short clips which are similar to those used in psychological torture and stress. The drugs and crappy food and commercials for these and the like just soften the mind from thinking for ourselves even more so and lower the bar of moral standards. IMO

    If you live in faith and truth things become more obvious (even in subtle product branding) and regardless if you’ve had strange encounters or not you have to be aware that all people aren’t lying about it, but also everyone isn’t on the side of righteousness against it either. The only way you can know where each individual stands starts with knowing scripture and Christs teachings.

    For instance… Two days ago The Spirit revealed something to me I’ve never heard before. I became aware where Jesus did the miracle on the sabbath day of rest and then had the parable about rescuing the sheep from the pit… That parallels The Father resurrecting Christ (The Lamb) from the pit of hell when Christs body was in the tomb three days (Spirit in Hell paying the tax potentially, giving back from the fish the evil coins placed under his eyelids back to Hells mouth), but also, this then parallels the resurrected Christ lifting us into Heaven from earth (valley of the shadow of death) at our own end or rest as well. That’s the miracle on the day of rest in full circle, played out over and over again, healing the sheep and a miracle rescue when those have faith. The Lord Christ’s reins, reign like rain. The Lamb rescues his sheep from the pit when it’s our time for the body to rest in this valley or pit. Pretty cool right?
    There’s more to scripture than meets the eye and so much more to be learned past its physical surface read and into its living word and heartbeat, past where some people stopped looking there’s a relationship, both physically and spiritually in everything and everyone… Most importantly God.
    I’m sorry this was wordy but it’s important. Life is so much more than some are ready to accept or realize, and some that are aware are fighting against it… I’m praying for you all to be unblinded because “spoiler alert” God defeats evil, The Lamb casts out a dragon. Greatest story ever told and most importantly it’s alive and interactive. Words are a big deal, The Word is even bigger.
    Believe what you personally feel is good and right, I’m not trying to force anything on anyone:)

    Thank you for your service Sir and thank you for sharing your story! I grew up around a few old timers that agent orange ended up causing cancer. They were Vietnam veterans. Tough old sobs! They still all gave it one hell of a run but the inevitable happened. Thank you for everything that you do! ❤️
