Tonight we’ll be talking with Jake from Minnesota. Back in the early 1980s, he witnessed something he described as a chimpanzee playing on his tree stand. Then, 30 years later, in the same area, he encountered another creature this time displaying behavior unlike anything he had ever heard or seen before.

Hi Wes!
Maria G
Thx Wes…hey guys I’m wishing everyone a wonderful Easter tomorrow. Sending best wishes to my SC family. I’m looking forward to hearing tonight’s episode while I’m cooking tomorrow morning… ❤️

Wahoo Wes! ♥️

I find it interesting the 2nd one was around 9’ tall but only had a 15” print. GENERALLY it seems like their print in inches is double their height in feet, so a 15” print would come from one around 7.5’. This is based one eyewitness testimony.
Charles R
Good fact James G. Yes 15 inch at 7 foot 5 would be what the Dr. Grover Krantz scale has suggested. Which would also make Patty over 7 foot, maybe 7 foot 3. Instead of the ridiculous 6 and a half feet so many are stating.
ROBERT G
Greetings, Earthlings! What’s for dinner? 🤘🏼

Incredible thank you

Thanks, Wes and Jake! Happy Easter!

Great interview! Please, who is the guitar player and where can I find his/her music? Thank you.
Sheila C
50 years with bigfoot Janice Carter talked about one doing masculine display
Charles R
Yes she did Sheila C. That was the one named Blacki but he was either a juvenil or young adolescent. I remember Janice hated that one to death. Especially after what happened to a neighbor or was an about 13 year old girl. It’s peculiar that her sister who was in an espisode in late 2024, never talked about Janice. Perhaps it was because of the overwhelming ridicule Janice and Mary Green recieved after publishing, especially from the Bigfoot community in the early 2000s. However Lyla did have a chapter in the book.

Great guest👍👍👍, music was outstanding!
Leslie S
Please, who is playing this music? t/u in advance!

Yes! Curious too!

I hate to sound condescending or whatever, but I just don’t understand seemingly intelligent people who honestly think that these things are just “good at hiding.” NOTHING is THAT good at hiding. gorillas are extemely well-adapted to their mountainous forest environment, and they are extremely intelligent, but once modern western man decided to go and find one, it took us days. not years, or months, or weeks. gorillas can be sitting in the bushes 10 ft away, and you’ll never know it. yet the very first expedition to secure a gorilla specimen was successful. and we got, not just one specimen, but several. to say that these creatures are just good at hiding means that they would’ve had a 100% success rate, 100% of the time, since the beginning of time. not one single mistake. not one single slip up, not even by a youngster. That’s impossible. especially in today’s world where you have thousands upon thousands of people out in the woods looking for these things, more people than ever before, and in this modern day of drones, and thermal, and night vision, we still have nothing. even the smartest, most agile, most experienced predators in the forest slip up from time to time. we as humans don’t have much difficulty in getting any specimen we want. there are a few animals who have given us a bit of trouble, but we’ve always been able to locate and obtain a specimen eventually. but not this one. not ever. not once. when we as humans want some sort of specimen, a small party goes out on an expedition and they obtain one. a small group of people. yet nowadays as I said, there are tens of thousands of people out in the woods looking for these things these days, and nothing. nada. no luck. ever. we’ve gotten every animal known to man on game cameras. but not these. it doesn’t matter how adapted they are to their environment, or how good they may be at elusion, there would be an occasional mistake made if these things were just normal, natural creatures. we’re going to be coming up on a century of documented instances of people searching for these things. and who knows how long they’ve been sought out before that. but no success and all that time. even natives haven’t been successful in getting one of these things. when people say they are just “good at hiding,” I don’t think they’re actually sitting down and really, truly thinking about what they’re saying. no other natural creature in the history of the world has been 100% successful, 100% of the time, at eluding human beings. and if you want to look at it from a statistical standpoint, it’s statistically impossible that in the history of all time, we’ve never managed to produce a specimen. yes, these things are physical beings. they obviously have a physical presence. they leave tracks, they poop, etc, but there is something “extra” about these things. whether it’s just something that is scientific which we don’t understand yet, or whether they’re paranormal, I have no idea, but these are not just natural animals. no way, no how. NOTHING is that good at hiding, not even humans, and you can’t hide from thermal. thermal has been available to the general public for quite some time now, and thermal has been used in this field for years at this point, but still nothing. with all of the modern technology, and military technology and things at our disposal, we still don’t have anything. I’m sorry, but it’s just impossible that they are merely flesh and blood. there’s something else.
Sean O.
Our government has definitely harvested specimens but they generally just don’t want us to know they’re real because it’s a huge hit on the economy in so many different ways. They tested the waters with the spotted owl thing back in the ’90s and that shut down multi millions in logging and in small businesses that depend on people going out to the parks. If they said hey thousands of people are going missing in our parks because of some 8 to 10 ft tall thousand pound man killer nobody would be going on family trips to our state and national parks. It would just be a bunch of people heavily armed out to try to kill them or people that think they can go be friends with them and get killed.
Darin H
That’s why they caught a BIGFOOR named Patty Poop when she was chasing a group of forest rangers down a trail and then the guvmint came in and lassoed her with a rope and locked her in a trailer. That SASSQUASH said she was responsible for all dem missin’ peoples!! Mystery solved lolololol.
Justin C
Well said KG
Jeff B
does anybody know who the exit music is? I think it must be the same artist that he’s been playing for the intro and exit recently. Really smooth.
Charles R
My guess is Carlos Santana.
Stacey C
I think he said it’s whiskey blues??…

Thanks Wes and Happy Easter!

Great episode! Would love info about the outro song at the end. Shazam couldn’t find it.

Thank you Wes! Happy Easter! 🐣🐰

Jake, you should look up Sybila Irwin Sketching Encounters, she has drawn several of these Sabe People using witness descriptions. The one that pushed you down could have been “counting coup” like the Commanche.

👉 Great episode Wes 👏 Happy Easter Everyone 🐰

Thanks Wes and Jake for a great episode. I like to watch sheep herding videos with border collies (BC). The description of the large creature’s behavior reminded me of herding behavior. The BC often nips a stubborn or unresponsive sheep to get them moving; not to hurt them. This creature was upright so they used their arm to shove. After a BC gets a herd moving; they will approach and retreat to guide the sheep in a specific direction. Enjoy the rest of your weekend SCers!

Interesting episode !!!! And Wes that “Blues” score at the end was of the hook!!!!!

Great encounter outro music was fire kept playing it back

Best episode for ages! Cheers!

An amazing account! I was especially intrigued by the encounter with the juvenile. Encounters with juveniles are even more rare. The underlying genetics, variations of these creatures is mind blowing. Thank you Jake for sharing your encounters and TY Wes for making all of this possible. The world around us is filled with mysteries and miracles. Happy Easter and God bless.
Charles R
Gotta love it. A juvenile stealing his caramels. Surely a treat they would never get in the forest. It makes me wonder if they take honey from hives. I have not heard the roar, except on videos which do not capture the intensity. I have heard the Ohio Howl and I know it was a good distance away, at least a mile in the Huron National Forest and boy did it carry with that very low sound and I knew right away what it was. Jake. Contact Sybilla Irwin, she has a website and is a very accomplished sketch artist with Bigfoots. Perhaps the tall scrawny one had some kind of disease, from where I do not know. It may have been in contact with other humans in it’s life. Another thought is it may have been an early adolescent and just grew up tall before it filled out. This is the first time hearing of a “family friendly” display by an adult male. It is common in juvenile males as told by Janice who was Lyla’s sister in Lyla’s SC episode in late 2024. Thanks Jake for a truly great SC episode.

Im from minnesota, what county and state forest was these encounters in?
Tami L
Hi! I’m in Minnesota too! I am wondering the same thing.
Rob B
Great episodes, thanks
Tami L
Right here in the home state! It would be fun to know where this land is, but it sounds like 1/2 of the state! Great encounter. I’m wondering if it was near where I’ve had my sighting and encounter near Itasca State Park. Thanks Wes and Jake!
Megan C
I’ve been listening since almost the beginning and this is a very very good one.
Joseph G
hope the shows get better. gonna give this one a go.

name of the song at the end?
Barbara L
Are we sure people haven’t been killed by these creatures?
Mark H
Man, I love the Blues music you play Wes. It is so cool, and perfect for this venue.
Mark H
I believe that they have… most definitely.
One incident had a young boy who went missing, and someone later saw one of these things walking up a hillside far away with something slung over it’s shoulder that looked like a kid.
Another story is about 2 trappers in the 1800s who were scared away by them, but one of the trappers was killed the morning they were leaving.
See David Paulides CanAm Missing 411. He has hundreds, if not thousands, of strange missing occurrences in National Forests and National Parks.

Shazam can never identify the songs that Wes plays. It’s very frustrating. They misidentified this one badly.

It’s also frustrating to search on YouTube for songs that you hear and you end up with all this AI created music so it doesn’t recognize it

2 double D’s. Lol! I think he meant 2 D size batteries. Made me chuckle. I still have a few of those flash lights. There actually was a DD battery. it was basically 2 D size batteries one stacked on top of the other.

Pretty Fascinating, But Bizarre Encounter From Jake In Minnesota!

Interesting episode. Usually listening in the U.K. But this time listening in by the fire with my son in Washington, actual Sasquatch country, adds something to the experience.
Kerry G
When it comes to the lights, quartz or rocks with a high percentage of quartz, such as granite, can create an electrical charge under high pressure. It’s seems likely to me that the electrical charge is manifesting above ground. Not ball lightning but something different. The different colors seen could be impurities in the quartz rock itself or surrounding materials. As far as intelligence, an electrical charge will avoid insulated materials such as trees so maneuvering through the forest would be natural as they would seek a path of least resistance. With sasquatch being seen with the lights? If you are a semi nomadic highly intelligent primate who has lived in the wild for thousands of years, you will come across these lights and perhaps use them or be fascinated by them or just go to them when you see them. Certainly, if the lights are predictable, you would probably look for them. If this show was Lights in the Woods Chronicles 99% of the people contacting would have only seen the lights with only a small percentage seeing them with sasquatch. That would be my guess.
