What is a Neanderthal?

Neanderthals more rarely known as Neandertals, were a species or subspecies of archaic humans in the genus Homo that became extinct about 40,000 years ago. Neanderthals and modern humans share 99.7% of their DNA and are hence closely related. (By comparison, both modern humans and Neanderthals share 98.8% of their DNA with their closest non-human living relatives, the chimpanzees.) Neanderthals left bones and stone tools in Eurasia, from Western Europe to Central and Northern Asia. Fossil evidence suggests Neanderthals evolved in Europe, separate from modern humans in Africa for more than 400,000 years.

Danny Vendramini draws on the latest scientific evidence to show that Neanderthals ferocious ape-like creatures who hunted and raped early humans to the brink of extinction before the humans fought back and eradicated the Neanderthals.

I haven’t read his book and this video is fascinating especially the comparison of Neanderthal and chimpanzee skull.
I have always thought the depiction of neanderthals or cave men were fantastical and unbelievable. This is frighteningly much more realistic to me.

interesting video but I’m a bit confused , is he saying Sasquatch is neanderthal throw back , I have looked at skulls and there are lots of different sizes so thats confusing , is he saying all the research that has been done is very wrong , it is an interesting video but it throws up more questions than answers ….

What I take away from this and believe as a “knower” is that that “archaic” humans have not been portraid accurately. They’ve been anthropomorphized. I firmly believe that there have been dozens of hominids evolve all over the world during the past millions of years. These would include Modern humans, Neanderthals, Denisovans, Sasquatch, Hobbits, Little People, and many, many more. It’s my personal belief that several of these still exist today. Two I know for certain – humans and our varieties and Sasquatch and their multiple types/varieties as I see or have seen each. Some government will disclose Sasquatch at some point in the future, but not near. Shooting one or trying to “prove” their existence is an admirable task, but the reality is that the Smithsonian and other entities have full skeletons of multiple types not to mention that dozens have been killed/confiscated/or captured and studied extensively. There are far too many negative outcomes for the government to openly disclose them or any other cryptid for that matter. I have the utmost respect for those who research the subject. I’ve seen two in my lifetime. One type up close and benign and another type from farther away, but very aggressive. I know they exist, but I still can’t learn enough about their bahaviours. That’s my. 02. Keep up the awesome work Wes. SC is by far the best source for information about all things peculiar! ?
