What I saw in my first sighting

On Wednesday night Duke returns to the show and we will be discussing the Wendigo. Duke writes “These are 2 sketches drawn by an artist to show what I saw in my first sighting; neither is perfect, however the lower one shows what it looked like peeking at me from between the pine boughs, the lower hand should have fingers extended and the canines are too thin.

The uppermost one, without the pine boughs around it, shows teeth further back in the mouth than I could see, and the fangs were omitted, reason being that this was the banner art on my site for a couple months and the original version scared the hell out of me every time I saw it, so I had to use a toned-down version to display, and finally took it down altogether as too disturbing for me to look at very much.”

They really are what nightmares are made of. And I truly believe the source of the “boogeyman” that parents used to use to scare their kids into compliance.

That is VERY interesting, James. It certainly seems that autistics have certain parts of their brains turned off, while others are very amped up. There’s no reason that another species couldn’t code for a similar balance of traits in their genetics as a matter of course, if it helped them survive. It should be noted, as far as the visual abilities, that native peoples, before they took on Western diets and ways (like T.V., and cribs), were noted for their visual and spatial abilities. One example was an Inuit who, never having seen an outboard boat motor before, proceeded to take it completely apart, then put it completely back together–and it worked! From our perspective, that’s “savant”. But he was not autistic, nor unique in his culture. One theory is that being carried about on one’s mother’s back while she went about her daily business, in all kinds of postures and positions, lent the Eskimos a huge range of visual perspectives, allowing them to put together sophisticated 3-D models of things in their environment that children confined to cribs would get less of. But anyway, there are too many similarities here between SQ and autistics to ignore. Thanks for sharing that, I learned a lot.

James M- I just watched the vid. Wow. This theory warrants additional consideration/study/discussion by any who are seriously interested in understanding Sasquatch. This should be addressed in Sasquatch-related podcasts & conferences. Talk about possibly “breaking the code;” I need to read this guy’s book. Thanks

James, after watching your video it all seems to make sense now. This to me seems like a very credible theory and explains all those character traits that leave us scratching our heads. I feel this man is truly on to something here and think viewing Sasquatch through the lens of autistic traits will explain a lot.

Duke…..you had to go and do it, post a picture of my nightmare!
No, really, I scrolled down to it and it startled me, gave me a fear shock. Cannot wait for your next visit with uncle Wes.

That is definately not a friendly forest giant! Wow, just wow! I have to say, Duke I find your presence on this show very enjoyable. I hope you become a mainstay on sasquatch.chron. Stay safe and stay away from those 4 toed forest giants. Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Sweet baby Jesus…I can’t even begin to imagine something like that walking around in the woods! I live in the Appalachian mountains and I catch myself staring out the living room window into the forest that surrounds my house. (I live Kentucky Ridge State Forest) I reluctantly wait to see one of these things stroll by. I don’t know how you’re even able to sleep at night, Duke! This would haunt me!!! Be careful and stay safe!!!

if That was my first sighting, I would have been a pure city boy. Or I would have beat the car I was in back to town never to return to the backwoods again! you got you a mighty big pair.

Wt heck. That reminds me of the abominable snow monster on rodolff red nosed reindeer. I wonder if they r aware of these creatures like sasquatch n depict them in films such as planet of apes. No joking, I’m being serious. In a way kind of making fun of the public. Whatever the case, that is definitely a true monster and nightmare to run into something like that picture. Can’t wait for the show. Hope you are feeling better WES.

Not only will the pictures give me nightmares alone, but seeing those things in real life would at the very least be an underwear changing moment as Wes likes to put it and at the worst the last thing I saw while unloading a rifle into it on the way down from having a fatal heart attack!
