Update For This Week

No shows this week. I have been sick and thought it was bronchitis. I have been running a fever everyday for the last two weeks. I recently saw my doctor and found out I am positive for COVID. I am on the mend and I am feeling better everyday. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

Hope you get well very soon Wes. I had it for three weeks last year and was pretty sick after each of the vaccines. Nasty stuff. Thanks for the hard work. If there’s ever anything I can do to help just let me know. T.S.

    • Wes

Thanks man it is nasty stuff. My bones hurt. The fever and zapping my energy is the worst. It’s like my body cannot regulate it’s temp. Finally got some real medicine to temper the cough.

        Hey Wes,
Wish I could I’d make you some chicken noodle soup. Sorry you’re sick _ sure hope you’re better soon. Let us know if you need anything. They say once you have this variant you develop an immunity. Hope so. And I mean it, please let us know if we can help in any way. _m

Wes- I highly recommend zinc, vitamin d3, vitamin c and melatonin. Worked on everyone in my family. The melatonin has recently been added to the Covid med list by numerous doctors. It eases the virus from effecting the lungs. Not sure why, but I know it works. Good luck Wes. We all wish you well. Feel better buddy.

    • Debbie S

I think one of the thought processes behind the melatonin is it causes the kind of deep sleep that your body needs to heal. Hubby(70) added it to his regimen too….also a low dose aspirin and he was taking the vitamins and zinc and quercetin. And as Denise said below…cough that stuff up! Walk, move around as much as you can….I know…when I had it I felt like I had been body slammed into concrete. It is the worst ache imaginable plus the zero energy. Hydrate! And get well soon! Prayers outgoing.

    • Cindy B

Also, if your Dr. will prescribe Ivermectin or Hydroxychloraquine, they are very effective. Or you can go to Walmart and buy Quercetin in the suppliments isle. It works with the zinc to keep the virus from replicating. Prayers for your healing Wes.

(New Jersey) Wes, take care and Feel Better!! Don’t worry about business, or anything for that matter. Just rest up and concentrate on Getting Well. Oh yes, and if you get bored, you have over 800 SC shows to listen to!!

My wife tested positive back in October the Delta variant. She has what I consider 2 to 3 co morbidities, and I thought she would be in terrible trouble, like what happened to my next-door neighbor at the same time. He almost passed. However, she is an ICU nurse in Dayton, OH for over 20 years. She immediately was put on the Prednisone regime, she already had albuterol, and maybe most important, monoclonal antibodies that Dr’s around here do not just give out. Her case ended up being mild and she was back to work in 10 days. This treatment should have been available to everyone, and I think many more people could have been saved. By the way she is twice vaxxed, as required by work. Ken K mentioned vitamin C, D3, Zinc, and Melatonin and I would concur and have followed this regime for years, except Melatonin.

Happy that you are on the mend, Wes. Follow Dr’s orders and we will look forward to you being back to your chipper, energetic, and magnetic self, and hopefully right soon.

    • Debbie S

Good advice. When hubby was sick I even pounded him on the back some days…all to keep that stuff broke up and him hacking it out. He also slept on his side….never on your back! 🙂

You got this Wes! Feel better!

      • Charles R

Good for you Debbie, you knew what you were doing. My neighbor had to go on 6 liters of oxygen while at the hospital for 3 days, then they sent him home with oxygen. He was still doing terrible. My wife told his wife put him on his side and stomach and was surprised his Dr.s did not tell him this. It really helped.

So sorry, Wes! You take care of yourself. Thanks for letting us know. Sending thoughts and prayers, and hope you feel better daily. Thanks for all you do. I am in agreement with everyone else who has commented. We will miss you, but your health comes first. We can always listen to past episodes!

When I had it I slept almost non stop for a week. Water seemed to help my aches and pains a lot so I drank a ton of water for a few weeks. Sounds crazy but try it. Hope your feeling better soon. Prayers

SLAAAAACK ASSSSSS ….. Get better big guy… was tired and food was not as flavorful so I lost weight…so win… good luck and take the time you need…we may gripe wine and moan but we are your bitch….lol.

Wes, so sorry to hear you have it and hope you get well soon. Ken K and Denise F medicine and vitamin recommendations are solid with a steroid and albuterol nebulizer treatments to help open lungs. Just want to say I’m thinking of you and will pray you get over these symptoms soon.

  9. Melissa K

Wes, I feel like you are a part of my family. I listen to your shows every week and am so thankful for you. I listen to other shows but, when it is time for SC I tell my husband, ‘finally, time for the real deal!’
I will pray for you and send the best of thoughts your way as I would for my family.
You are the best and I will miss your shows but,I hope you take as long as you need.

Oh Wes I am so sorry. I am a long hauler from Delta. It is kind of you to include us in your struggle. I know the suggestions above to be true. I would just add there is no such thing as enough rest for this virus. The good thing is you can actively fight back to reclaim yourself but it might take a good deal of time. Might. Keep up your routine with the suggestions above and know that a little push can lead you on a slide toward relapse. Don’t look this virus in the eyes. Rather take your ques from what you feel inside and go slowly, very gently.
We are all going to be here when you are back to the healthy you. I will think of you and send you lots of white light ……

A whole community is on edge waiting for the all clear. Be well, Mr.Germer. It may be a life changing time for you. I’m sure I speak for others when I say that we support whatever you decide is best for you.

Wes, I’ve read that aspirin is a bit of a miracle drug against COVID-19. The virus creates tons of microscopic blood clots and aspirin helps in clearing the clots. And of course C and D. You can mega dose C. When you’re sick your body depletes vitamin C quickly and you need to take it through the day, not just once.

    • m99

That’s cool knobby. Since Wolf, then you, suggested Chaga Mushroom capsules, I’ve been giving it to my husband, every other week, and myself on the dose aspirin. One day my left wrist looked like a cluster of blood vessels. Like swollen. Once I started the low dose regime it’s gone down again. Weird huh? Anyway, as you said, stagger the Chaga weekly. Every other week. Or do what I like to do and drink the hot tea. Good for you and tasty. Anyway, thanks knobby. You’re a real friend to Wes. ????

    • Laurie W

My thoughts and prayers are with you Wes. The recommendations above are great ones. Worked well for my husband and me when we went through this. Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself. Sending you light and love!

Wishing you well Wes. Thoughts and prayers are with you always. Our health is often something we take for granted. Rest, chicken noodle soup, and concentrate on your wellness.

Hubby(70) did the Zelenko Protocol minus the Ivermectin because we could not get ahold of it. I did make the homemade HCQ though and that was part of his regimen. Along with Sambucol and all the herbal teas I could get down him….and chicken broth. He slept round the clock for a few days. His oxygen saturation was not good but never went below 89. We ended up using a nebulizer for three straight days with hydrogen peroxide. My sister-in-law used a nebulizer with Vicks. Both seemed to have worked as does an inhaler if you can get a doctor to prescribe one. We have had the problem around here that doctors are now sending people home with only cough prescriptions. I have no idea why when a year ago, they were writing prescriptions for Zpacks, cough syrup and inhalers. I’ve had friends who even swear by their vaporizers that they used so that is an option. It is all about keeping the gunk in your chest loose so you can cough it up. My sister’s doctor sent her home with two cough syrups…one: an expectorant for during the day and two: a suppressant for night so she could sleep. That was all he gave her. 🙁 I’ve only had one friend whose doctor prescribed prednisone, only one. 🙁 Everyone seems to be helping everyone else these days. Take the vitamins and zinc. REST and hydrate. Move around when you can. Work on keeping the stuff in your chest loose and hacking it up. Don’t be surprised when you can’t just “bounce back” ….this crud will steal your energy for awhile….keep taking the vitamins and continue to rest often. And get well soon. Sending prayers.

Hi Jan F! So glad to see you post. I was wondering where you had been but maybe I just missed your posts. Anyway, be well my Scandinavian friend! _m99

  18. Gail C

Quercetin from the health food store along with zinc, C, and D3 works wonders if you catch it early. Antibiotics might be needed if a chest x ray shows you have pneumonia. Nebulized hydrogen peroxide helps too. Avoid the vacx and hospitals and hope you’re back real soon.

  19. Thomas J

Wes get well as the stories will still be there after you are taking care of yourself and your family. You been crushing it fo so long it’s time for down time to heal.

  20. Case M

Just recovered from Covid myself this past week. Not fun. I had an ivermectin prescription that was helpful. Message me if you need a physician to prescribe. All remote. We all love you Wes and are pulling for you.

  21. Natalie J

Get well and feel better, Wes! I’m so sorry you got sick. We all just want you to heal up and take the time you need. This is an ugly virus. Just take good care of YOU. ❤️❤️❤️????

  22. Timothy S

Truly hate to hear you are struggling with Covid. I caught it around Christmas time and am still dealing with the hard cough. Get well my friend. Sure will miss the two show’s you usually have over the weekend. I’ll have to pull up some old one’s so I can get my fix. Lol. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids!!!!!!

  23. Ron S.

I hope you have Woody masked up as your personal lackey over there to help get you back to 100% soon. Treat this virus like an ornery drunk from back in the day and throw it to the curb!

  24. Josephine L

Hi Wes, I’m definitely praying for your recovery. If I lived close enough, I would make (& deliver) some homemade chicken soup to your doorstep…with lots of fresh vegetables, spices & jalapenos to kick that Covid to the curb! Fluids, lots of sleep, rest, vicks, sunshine & time will help you heal… please try not to worry (even though you probably naturally are) YOU & your health is most important. Maybe someone nearby who cooks a mean chicken soup can make & deliver to you asap. Sending lots of love & positive vibes from the San Joaquin Valley in California. ???? No rush…get better man.

  25. Melissa P

Hey Chief, I am so sorry to hear that you’ve been sick. It mist have been scary to be diagnosed with Covid. Well wishes sent to you. This would be a great time to slow down a little. You have to take care of yourself. We need you back only when you think you are ready. Lots of chicken noodle soup and rest! Much love

  26. m99

Hey Wes. Hope you’re better. Hope your Doc has you on a combination of stuff. Like antibiotics if you’re feeling it in your chest. You’ve mentioned you’ve had pneumonia before. I’ve had that a couple times. And maybe you should get some anti inflammatory meds. I say this because sounds as though you may have a secondary infection. And I’m praying for you, of course. And had that feeling a couple times, so thought I’d mention it to you. Wish I could help you. Take good care, _m

  27. Paula B
