Two Large Upright Walking Figures

A listener writes “A buddy and I decided to hike into an Alpine Lake in May. Hiking into alpine lakes to fish was one of my major pastimes growing up. So we were ready to get the season going.

May is kinda early to go as at 5000 feet their is still lots of snow. The lake we hiked into is called lake ethel and the trailhead is just outside a little town called merritt along highway 2. So my buddy and I get to the lake and we were thinking about starting a fire when we noticed these 2 upright walking figures on the opposite side of the lake. They looked tall and had hair hanging from their arms that was noticeable as they were walking. On the other side of the lake was a mountain that had a snowfield that extended almost to the water.

These figures entered the snowfield and walked quickly up the snowfield at 45ish degree angle. We watched them for several minutes until we realized they could flank us if they wanted to. We hightailed it back out and never even pulled out our fishing poles.”

Abominable snowmen, for sure! They were smart enough to stay on the side where there was more snow… Less people, I assume.

Always shocks me how sometimes they will just walk around in the open, like the show last night….they all went strolling on to the beach?? Crazy

Black Bears, Foxes, and Bob Cats along with other woodland creatures are making quite a come back in many areas of PA. They are living right near populated areas. It is not unusual for Black Bears to come into people’s back yards to raid bird feeders or garbage cans. I’m not talking about in National forests. This can happen in many small towns and outside of cities as the wooded areas run right into the populated areas. I just hope that cryptids stay way far away. I have no problem with the Black Bears visiting as they look for food during the late winter and during their fall feeding frenzy but Sasquatch and dog creatures can stay away!
