I am on tender hooks waiting!
What in the world does that mean anyway? “tender Hooks”…OH NO now I have to go research that! I can’t stop…heeelllp me.

pam
Oh yeah, I HAD to go there.
tender hooks
Firstly, it is tenter hooks, not tender hooks. It means waiting with anxiety. Tenter is a rack for drying cloth and a tenter hook is a nail with an upward curve on which the cloth is hung.
. TenDer hooks do not exist and if they did, they would be ineffective because they are TENDER!

Hey Pam
I’ve been reading tons of nearly free BigFoot books via Kindle lately… And it blows my mind how many of this exact type of common phrase misunderstandings/misspellings there are in this one specific category of writing there are. Tender hook/tenter hook is pretty forgiveable to my mind but I think I might start keeping track of all the different misspelled/misunderstood common phrases I run across in cheap kindle BigFoot books and then one day publish a dictionary of sorts to help the future cheap kindle BigFoot authors out so they don’t come across so illiterate-y to the reading world at large. Maybe I’ll help out any reading my comment now with a few I can remember coming across recently… It’s not ‘tow the line’ future cheap kindle Bigfoot book authors–it’s ‘toe the line’. And it’s not ‘on the straightened arrow’–it’s ‘on the straight and narrow’ and this last one I remember discovering that I had been saying it wrong all these years and I’ll bet most of you (pl) have too… It’s not ‘not by a long shot’–it’s ‘not by a long chalk’
I’ll let you know when my dictionary is ready to publish in case you run across any nearly illiterate cheap kindle Bigfoot book authors who can’t afford a copy editor. 😉

That really made me smile, Pam. I can relate.
As for the show, I am waiting with baited breath.
Uh-oh. where did that phrase get started ?
Six
Ok, it’s bated Breath, not spelled baited
noun
the condition of waiting for something to happen; subdued breathing due to high emotions

Maybe Miller doc. Discussion #1 should be interesting
Eddie M
I agree it should be very interesting. The original I read I remember giving height in inches of the three in Texas. I believe he said the largest of three was 96″ tall.

Are there more shows on the horizon for this topic ?
I hope so. It would make a great audio mini-series.

I just said #1 because new evidence could always pop up in the future, and its controversial.

This is more than likely going to be one of my favorite shows. We’ve heard quite a few encounters on SC where sasquatch is shot at or even in some cases killed. And I’ve always wondered what they do with these specimens. Reading those documents is extremely enlightening and educational. It honestly fills in a lot of gaps and answers a lot of questions, at least to me. It seems to give a great deal of credit to the theory that there are more than one type of these animals. He also mentioned the incredible bone crushing jaws that they have, which I believe validates that poor guys encounter while running into one and getting a good portion of his arm bit clean off. I absolutely love hearing the science aspect of this topic, it’s very clarifying. I do believe that these animals are just that, animals, a type of ape very possibly closely related to us. And I always thought that these animals couldn’t possibly thrive in captivity or in zoos but I wouldn’t have thought they would pass on at such a quick and rapid rate. I could only imagine carrying such a burden of knowing in fact that these creatures are not a myth but a reality and to be a part of autopsy duty. And not being able to mention or even hint to the very strong possibility of their existence out of fear of prosecution or possibly even something worse. I couldn’t imagine
Tyler D
And I like that he mentioned that some types do in fact have scent glands. Which I believe is either a reaction out of fear, anger or excitement but that’s neither hear nor there. I think there’s a very strong possibility that this document was the truth. There’s just too many connecting dots to ignore. A great portion of the details in that document is too similar to what we hear today and I don’t think he was just making it all up and just happened to hit the nail on the head. You gotta ask yourself how could he possibly know those things, especially in that time era, unless he was in fact telling the truth

T could not have put it better

That document seems to confirm all of my beliefs in this subject. And I’ve always thought the reason there are these different types of sasquatch is based on the regions and climate they inhabit. They evolved to adapt, as is the main component in evolution. That’s why they seem to differentiate from state to state and especially country to country. I believe there’s a very strong possibility this document is the real deal

Can anyone find out about the number and circumstances around the military handling of Sasquatch? I have heard but not through credible sources they are hunted by special forces in TX as they find out about missing people- is this true? And it requires a small force of 12 soldiers to get one; and finally that the squatches have taken down some military in the process. Is there any credence to these claims? I know Will mentioned it on several of his comments. Have a great weekend!!

I know! I think it is interesting where these saying came from , also. I have a book I found at Garage Sale published by Hallmark (cards) co. It is a compendium of sayings and their meanings. Crazy! Like “crime in Italy”…refers to Jesus’ death and Roman’s involvement etc.

I’m beside myself with anticipation and nervous excitement about the new episode!
Well, not quite, but these two new documents are very interesting indeed if true…
Tracy A
Andrew, I think if as people read it is very easy to think in terms the “fantastic” claims. Why are they fantastic, because if they were “true” it would be of general knowledge. If the docs. subject matter where a prev. unknown species of bear, would you give the claims a second thought? So the Doc. would imed. have passed the 1st reaction smell test…it would be possible. It would be plausible. So if doubt remained you would start chking the supporting statements made in the Doc.. Terms/locations/timelines, those can be researched and found to be supportive of the overall Doc. claims. So if we were still in the mindset of a previously unknown bear. Would the BS meter be pretty low…probably. So were left with the poss. of a hoax. Who would hoax this. Its been on the web. site for two yrs. and was not widely responded to. As I wrote in previous comments. Not a lot bang for the buck for the “hoaxer”. So if not a hoax… what’s left?
So now remove bear reinsert previously UNKNOWN primate. …Nothing changes, the tenor of the phrasing as well as locations, time frames and the struggle, as any researcher would have’ to “classify” such a find. And the impact of such a confirmation. This is not a squirrel. Its a currently existing “cousin” in the 50s/ 60s America. We are in the cold war, the baby boom is at it’s peak. The needs for forest products are at it’s peek. The economy is thriving, CHURCH ATTENDANCE is high and a large part of societal glue. Camping and outdoor sporting goods sales are booming. The suburbs are introducing high density human habitation in areas previously sparsely populated country side. The internet highway system construction is underway. Govs. if nothing else like populations STABLE and humming along all fat and happy and try to plan for prosperity and STABILITY as far into the future as possible. Nations have go to war over fear of future economic non sustainability. (Japan WW 2 and countless others through time)
The Mountain gorilla was confirmed/ classified when? It was in the middle of a undeveloped 3rd world country. Well until the New Deal Works Progress Administration ie. parks developed etc.. TVA projects that electrified the south, baby boom expansion, you could say the majority of the U.S. was a underdeveloped sparsely populated third world country, with vast “unknown” regions.
Long before the industrial revolution that allowed for larger food production freeing up labor and enabling a near future sustainable population explosion and subsequent expansion into the country side. … OH and there was the whole COLD WAR W/RUSSIA FOR THE SCOCIO-POLITICAL DOMINATION OF THE WORLD THING GOING ON. There were reports of what Miller Doc. referred to as an “unknown”. (Scientific SPEAK to mean UNCLASSIFIED/ UNNAMED/NON-OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED SPECIES OF PRIMATE.) “THEY” HAVE BEEN “KNOWN” FOR AS LONG AS THEIR WHITE BALD COUSIN SHOWED UP IN MASS AND PUSHED THEM INTO THE EDGES AND BEYOND . WHERE WE, “THE CIVILIZED” COULD NOT EASILY THRIVE. …WE DID IT TO THE NATIVE AMERICANS…WE DID IT TO THE INDIGENUOS PEOPLES OF S. AMERICA. GO ALONG or We are willing to wipe you out or sure give it a hell of try…WE DID IT TO THE NEANDERTHAL.
An invasive species unchecked will dominate and forever change what nature, UNDISTURBED, has produced…That is also in Miller Doc., The 20 yr. plan….They ran out of time and the BF/Sas is probably doomed, as any other species when not able to fend off/ adapt to change OR “successfully” assimilate.
M Doc.
” It is imperative that the federal government continue to designate “Natural Areas”. Otherwise, a scarce food resource available to Cebidatelidae will result in more opportunistic feeding behavior and closer interaction between Humans and Cebidatelidae. These creatures and human beings simply do not co-exist”
ITS CALLED EXTINTION…..I think there is some presidence.
Irene A
Bone crushing teeth? Very well might explain WHY we don’t find bones, especially if Sasquatch is cannibalistic. In their world, “you dead, you lunch!”

I see a min-doc(umentary) in the making here. I wonder if anyone has the resources to do so…
Also, I’m sure it needn’t be said ~but in the slight chance otherwise~ we should be aware that this topic may initiate another round of attacks
