The set of glowing eyes just watched

A listener writes “Back in 1997/98 my twin brother and I attended bonfires with friends out in the woods outside of Topeka, Kansas. A friend of my brother’s threw these parties on his parents’ land. There was a rock quarry and a cattle ranch so lots of woods and ponds.

One night after we arrived, his friend was already inebriated and was firing his shotgun into the nearby pond. Making tons of noise while a large bonfire illuminated the scene. As I got out of the car I noticed a glowing set of eyes just inside the treeline. I’d say the eyes were between 6 & 7 feet off the ground and for up to 10 minutes never moved. With all the shotgun blasts, huge fire and about 30 rowdy teenagers, no animals would stick around. But the set of glowing eyes just watched. After 10 minutes watching the eyes I took off. Told my brother I was leaving and went home.”

It’s a wonder any of us survive the teenage years! Lord Have Mercy! I bet that Sasquatch thought ‘what an idiot! That’s no way to catch a fish!’

This may be the easiest way to get a Bigfoot to come in, a crazy party in the woods. I will bet this happens thousands of times a year and for the vast majority goes unnoticed by the partiers. I did this with 3 of my nephews in the Huron National Forest close to the Au Sable River in Michigan in 2011. I stayed sober and promised my sisters I would watch out for their sons. About midnight something threw a small rock at us that banged off the metal 3 sided structure we were in. I guarantee no humans besides us were around in the middle of the forest then. It freaked my one nephew out pretty good when we then went on a Hike on a trail to see if we could get further action.

I should add that my nephews were all in their early to mid 20s at that time and all college graduates. That did not keep my two sisters from calling me every half hour to check up on us.

    Hello,

I’ve said this repeatedly. The thing that bothers me the most about Sasquatch is how they WATCH US !!! Why do they do this? Are they waiting for orders? Do they protect? Are they waiting for an opportunity to take us? The questions go on and on. When you listen to the reports Wes posts an element in just about everyone is they “watch us.” In a situation where they surround an area it’s obvious they get to know who lives in the area. This is obviously a two edged sword. I believe some are waiting and plotting “bad” things. Other times this appears “neutral” you respect me I’ll respect you. There are other times when they befriend us, even when we don’t know it; I’m not sure this is positive. I’m wondering if there has ever been an encounter where a Sasquatch has “befriended” someone or a family and someone else tries to harm the family a Sasquatch has “befriended.” I don’t believe it’s wise to create this sort of “friendship,” it’s bound to lead to trouble. Anyway, it’s just creepy on how they watch us.
