Strange tracks found near Harrison Hot Springs, B.C.

Duke one of the shows favorite researchers writes “Just got permission to share these 22″ Mt Giant track photos taken last spring near Harrison Hot Springs, B.C., the person who sent them to me may be in the area this evening doing some poking around, hope he is okay

Without something to give it scale, how do we know it’s 22″? And just four toes! Honestly… Looks just like the rear foot of a bear to me (sometimes their fifth toe doesn’t show).

And… Was there just that one track?

Hi everyone, sorry but this one is not in my humble opinion anything more than deer tracks. Why i say that is simple the so called toes have a curved outer edge like a deer hoof and the distance between so called toes is very narrow just like a deer. The next reason i believe they are deer is if you look directly horizontal from the the rock in the top right hand of the second image you will see right in the middle of the pic a couple of indentations and the right hand one is very similar to the toes on the right side. . Also where the toes are there is no impression of the ball under the big toe or any detail or impression of the area where the toes join to the foot. Also note where the heel would be its not rounded but has several impression that again dont add up to a foot. Plus if we had more than one photo of the area it would be very easy to see a potential track way of the animal or animals, as i would expect that area of sand to be larger than just what we see in the photo. Thanks for posting Duke as this is the only way i will ever get to see any type of evidence for or against and that then allows me to look at things and work them out for myself and to then form my opinions on what i’m seeing. So please all you people out there lucky enough to be able to go to these areas and do field research, please post the pictures you get so the likes of me ,who cant do the field work gets to see all the cool stuff you get to find. Thanks the effort guy’s

Yes, something placed next to the track, for scale, would help clarify any guesses. And, context — just the one track?
Is there a wider shot, for context, I wonder. What’s that white blob, in both photos, near the ‘arch’ area of the track? Any guesses?

Anyway – great post, Wes. Thanks for all you do!

So the giants are supposed to have that protruding side toe, correct? I’m terrified if this is for real. I mean it is just insane. We need a native American tracker to look at this….anyone out there know an elder or family member for their opinion on this?

There are supposed to be more tracks from the same track line, but as of yet I have not seen them. I agree, the lack of tape measure or something for scale is regrettable, but I have found tracks when I didn’t have a tape measure with me too, so I can’t cast stones. The sand substrate does not lend to small detail in this case where the sand looks dry, but hopefully other photos will be on a different surface. The important thing is for folks to be on the lookout for these things and get evidence if you ever come across them while out in the wilderness, it all adds to what we can try to surmise about these things. Thanks for your time and input!….DUKE

I don’t think I would want to see such a track in the middle of nowhere at night. It also looks rather fresh. I would be afraid whatever made it was still lurking around… Duke, thanks to you and your friend for allowing us to view!
