A listener writes “I was hiking in a State Park last Saturday in Lorain Ohio and went about 5 miles off the main entrance trail and started to smell a rotten meat smell and the entire forest went dead silent.
I had the thought that there was something watching me. I heard branches breaking and started to head over to the middle of the clearing and snapped a few photos of what I thought was something peeking behind a tree. I watched it for maybe five minutes and was pretty sure I saw an eye blinking (it was pretty far off). I then heard noises behind me that made my hair stand up and turned around again and the figure behind the tree was gone. I quickly left, I’ll attach the picture and see what you think, you will see a standing log in the middle of the picture that appears black in color next to it, if you zoom in you can see what looks like the outline of a shoulder head and possibly an eye.
It should be noted there is a long stretch of telephone lines about a mile away, I also went over there and I saw a few dozen trees twisted and contorted as though they’d been shaped into arches.”

I see the outline but no eye. Just the same, it is not a tree amongst all that greenery. Good picture. Thank you for sharing and I’m glad you were not bothered.

It is just too pixelated to make out much detail. I’m sure it could be seen better with the naked eye than with a photo. No camera without a zoom lens can see as well as the human eye. I’ve little doubt what it is in the photo but these things do not photograph well at all.
