A listener writes “Hi Wes, I really enjoy the show and wanted to share a photo I took a couple of years ago that you might find interesting. My daughter and I were camping at Mammoth Cave National Park and hiking near dusk along the Green River when we noticed some movement off to our left.
Just off the trail was a group of wild turkeys, surprisingly comfortable being so close to people, which is what first caught our attention. Then my daughter spotted a dark shape farther back in the woods behind them. When she pointed it out, I quickly lifted my phone and took a few photos. At the time, I didn’t think much of it.
A couple of weeks later, while going through the pictures, I was pretty blown away by what I saw. I’ve attached both the original image and a cropped close-up. It’s a little “blobsquatchy,” but I thought you might get a kick out of it. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the photo if you’re willing to share them.”
