A listener writes “I appreciate the show and I thought I’d finally sit down and send an email about what me and my cousin saw in the end of June 2018 in northern Ontario.
I’m from southern Ontario but have family from heart Ontario. It’s about an 11 or 12 hour drive from where i live now. In 2018 me and my wife split up and i was having a hard time dealing with it and had my cousin invite me up north to hang out to get my mind off it and catch up a bit. Hearst is a small town with a lot of great fishing surrounding it and we spent most the week doing that but staying in town in his apartment. One of my favorite memories of visiting as a kid was actually going to the town dump and watching all the black bears walking around. Sometimes you’d see 10-15 bears at a time and I talked him into stopping by on our way to go back from fishing one day because I had not seen a bear yet up to this point and it had been years since my last visit.
When we got to the dump we had actually asked the guy working the front gate about it and he said he seen some earlier but hasn’t noticed any in the last few hours.
I decided to try anyway since I only had 2 more days up there. We went in, drove a few laps, probably spent 15 minutes just circling looking for anything but couldn’t see any. I accepted I’m probably not gonna see a bear today. Stopped and got out of the car for a smoke before we continue on our way and was standing outside the car. About half way through my smoke I heard something rolling down one of the garbage pile maybe 250 feet away. And decided to go look just incase it had been a bear back there that we didn’t see before.
This pile sat just in front of a incline that went down into the wood line and after pulling the car up to the pile we got back out and walked around the side were it sounded like were the sound came from and as we we’re standing there we heard a snap on the incline and as we looked in that direction we seen what looked like a person walk into the wood line. We only caught it for maybe the last 20 feet before it walked into the wood line from I’d say 250-300? Feet away. But it was quick and in the woods and outta sight after 3 or 4 steps.
We didn’t hear it make any noise or see it from the front but we both noticed it. It was all one color really dark brown. At first we thought it might have been a dump worker but couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t wearing his vest or what he was doing. Joked that maybe he was just sneaking off to get baked . but we both said how tall he was. This guy had to be 7 feet tall. But like I said we didn’t get a great look at him. We stood and looked for a minute thinking it was a little weird but sometimes people are weird so we decided to let it go and were about to leave. Just as we’re turning around to get back into the car wear what sounds like 2 really loud tongue clicks coming out of the trees this guy just walked into. It was loud tho for what it sounded like. If that’s what it was i have no idea how you could make that sound that loud. After the sound we stood there for a few minutes kinda going between looking at each other and where this sound came from but we never seen or heard anything again. Got in the car and left after a few minutes but we both just thought it was odd and got a weird feeling from the whole event.”

(New Jersey) I always get a kick out of these type of encounters. On the one hand, you have these intelligent, dedicated researchers, spending days, weeks, and years in the forrrest. They try every trick in the book, including trail cams, etc, and have no luck. Here, a couple of friends go to a garbage dump, and very likely spot a Bigfoot! It’s not even like they’re hunters, hikers, or campers. It’s a damn dump! It just doesn’t seem fair. Oh well, at least the guy could stop thinking about his ex for a while.

I have a cabin in the bush not far from Hearst ONT I’ve seen track before and have herd some strange things over the years ! They definitely are up there !
