A listener writes “Good morning,To cut straight to the chase it’s not a spectacular encounter just a possible audio encounter, I live in east Texas on about 10 acres of land, it is mostly country but there is a small neighborhood nearby, and have lived there for about 4 months by this point.

I was walking my dogs as I always have and they were pretty much well adapted to all the noises of the area like any noises from farm animals farm equipment didn’t bother them anymore and if we heard a sound we all would continue our walk. But on the morning of July 14 2026 at around 6:15 ish ,the sun was up just enough to where you could see clearly without a flashlight, and I heard what I thought was a cow making a warning/ distress call? Like the quick burst of calls not the long drawn out ones. The dogs have heard a similar noise before and paid no mind to it, but when they heard that noise they both froze and stared in the direction the sound came from then both started pulling me back towards the house. I should mention they are on a leash because we don’t trust them to not run away.

It wasn’t until we got inside I started thinking it was weird that they both started pulling me back towards the house, because one loves to sniff around and follow any scent trail he can find I almost always have to pull him back to house. And they more o thought about it sounded more like someone imitating a cow but the sound and power behind it was deeper and greater than anything a person could do which is why I thought it was a cow. It’s not really the most compelling evidence, and I left out a few details mostly due to its easier to say it instead of typing it id love to tell you this and my other possible encounter me and my father had a few years back at our hunting lease.
