Something tearing through the woods breaking branches and screaming

I want to thank Jeremy T. for sending this to me.

One night we were camping there behind the church on the back property towards the wood line and hills about 4 foot from a barbwire fence.  We had two tents out there that night.  One tent had my brother, his wife and kid and brother in law.   My tent had me, my wife Michelle and my cousin Ryan.  Everyone in my brothers tent was asleep and Michelle and myself and Ryan had just drifted off to sleep about 2 am. After being up late talking around the fire and playing some music.  I thought I heard something.  So I opened my eyes and from across the tent Ryan my cousins eyes where big as door knobs seriously he was scared out of his mind.

I motioned to him like what’s wrong and he pointed straight up.  There was something standing over our tent.  You could hear it sniffing loud and breathing like something off of a wolf man movie or something, our tent at the highest point on  top is like 7 ½ foot tall.  I had my 22 magnum gun at the time and Ryan had a 357 magnum gun so We jumped out and ran around the tent.  As soon as we jumped out  in the front to go around we heard a huge thud on the ground behind the tent like someone dropped something heavy.  When we got around to the back of the tent there was nothing there.  Something had jumped the fence though we believed because towards the woods  we could hear something tearing through the woods breaking branches and screaming. It sounded like a elephant or something huge. We got so scared we stayed up all night and build the fire as big as we could and stayed awake all night watching with the guns.
