Upcoming Show: Something Else Is Hunting On My Property

I will be welcoming two guests to the show one of the listeners writes “I live in northeast Pennsylvania it was 2012 and me and a buddy were hunting together in a double stand.

There was no deer moving because it was very cold so I told my buddy I was going to go drive them to him I got down and walked out to the dirt road that I live on.

I walked a half mile and then went up a gas pipeline just when I got 70 yards up it or so I found what looked like a large human footprint I brushed it off and went on. I got back to my buddy and said so did you see anything he said nothing I said that’s strange I always see deer in this stand.

He left because he had work and after he left I got down and went to take a better look I went home and told my ex wife what I had saw she said I was crazy. The next day I took a tape up there and measured it 17in long by 6in wide and 3in deep. The ground was frozen I couldn’t make a dent in the ground at that time but I’m not a big guy any way about a few months later my brother stopped by and told me that there was a deer kill on my property.

I went out to look, it was so strange Wes its front legs were broken and the head was almost ripped off the guts were ripped out and the back straps to but the rest of the deer was fine. I didn’t know what to make of it so I put up a game cam I got nothing.

A few weeks later I was on my way home from a friend’s when I pulled on my dirt road and just out at the edge of my high beams was this thing it was gone in seconds but it was no #@$%& bear Wes and I never went hunting again.

I’m telling you this because I finally told someone all of this, my best friend and he lost it on me and called me crazy well thanks for all you do Wes.”

A listener writes “Watertown CT is a heavily wooded small town about 30 min outside of Hartford, and about 25 min from the New York border along the i84 corridor. We lived on a state forest line, which if you followed it back about a mile going East would lead to a dam and state park that campers and fishing took place about 7-8 months out of the year.

There was a service road that was about a 1/4 mile back in the woods from our backyard, and my father who was an avid hunter and grew up basically going into the woods all the time, were walking our two terriers along this service road. I smelled something awful, and in short found what appeared to be a VERY large black bear, about 12 feet up an oak tree, wedged in a crook, with a clearly snapped broken neck. My dad estimated it was around 300-350 lbs. an overwhelming sense of dread and being watched came over both of us. I know the woods. I know the animals, I can tell when there are deer around, mountain lions, bears, turkeys and coyotes, and I never ever had a sense of dread of fear with them being around, because I know what to do in situations with them around. This was completely different and almost, I’d have to say not real. Like a feeling you’re never familiar with, or know how to act with.

Two nights later, we heard whoops far far back in the same woods, and knocks. My mother and I observed about a week later giant orb like lights in the same woods, we watched them for about 45 min with binoculars. They changed color and I can to this day tell you the exact sequence the orbs changed colors.

There is obviously more detail to the encounters if you want them, I’ll share if you’d like.”

The eyewitness spoke to his parents and his mother explained seeing this creature on the property. She kept it a secret all of these years because she did not want to upset him.

This was due to The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, which included past SC guest Stan Gordon, did a remarkable job of investigating sightings for a good number of years and published them, several hundreds, maybe over a thousand. I think Allegheny County ( Pittsburgh area was number 1 or close to it with over 50 published encounters 8 years ago. Their website has since been closed, and I have no clue what happened. If you are from another part of the country, you might be amazed at how forested PA really is. I knew it blew my mind back in 1981 when I traveled the turnpike for the first time.

Back in 2000 Eric Altman was the head of the PBS and he was pretty g
ood guy and open minded about these beings. I still have a PBS shirt with some great art on it.

I grew up in Watertown. I know exactly where they were. From where they were, one could travel through woods all the way up to the Mass border and into the Berkshires with only a handful of crossings of state roads.
