She Said Something Was In The Trunk That Killed Him

A listener writes “I wanted to tell you of a case where these orbs likely killed a great-great uncle of mine. This is my mom’s and grandma’s story as they related it….My great-grandmother had property in Eastern Kentucky that was way off the grid. I had never been there, but apparently you had to go through two locked fences for cattle about 5 miles off the highway to get there.

One feature of this property were the lights that would come dancing out of the holler and woods almost every night.

One summer, they had a family reunion that had 20+ people and as evening came, sure enough the lights came. Everyone was outside watching as they came out of the forest and into a freshly harvested tobacco field. They stated that the light was bright enough that it cast shadows of the tobacco stalks as it came up to the edge of the grass of the backyard. It stayed at the property line, went around to the front of the yard and then quickly darted into the yard and bounced around and hovered on top of my great-great uncle’s car. This car was parked under a tree. My grandma stated that the light shrank in on itself, disappeared and reappeared at the top of the tree. It stayed there for a few seconds and then took off in a streak into the sky.

Everyone stayed up talking about it for a while. The next morning, the owner of the car was leaving to go back home. He stated that he was going to take his bags to his car and would be back in to say goodbye. About 10/15 minutes had gone by and he hadn’t come back in. When someone went out to see what was going on, they saw that the trunk was open and he was laying on the ground, dead.

To the day my grandma died, she swore there was something in the trunk that killed him.

A few months later, the daughter of the person that died was walking home from a movie in Colorado. She stated that a similar ball of light followed here all the way home. It scared her so bad because she remembered what had happened to her dad.

On your show, I’ve never heard instances where these lights contributed to the death of someone. Have you heard reports of this?”

    I am only guessing…
Personally, it doesn’t sound, (the description) like paranormal but alien/UFO?
Perhaps these orbs set off poison of some-kind
as in radiation? When the man open the car’s trunk, the poison had settled it’s self inside the trunk area?
Releasing poison all at one time onto the man?

I have never known any of these orbs to harm people, but who knows. We just do not know what they are. I always thought the one I saw from one foot away from my face was alien surveillance. But are they ghost or spirit orbs, demonic ( I think least likely ) or something else. I seriously doubt we will ever know or for at least a long long time. How the heck is one going to be captured to study?

Last night on Expedition X, Jessica Chobot ( paranormal researcher ) and Phil Harris ( skeptic and natural cause believer ) were in the swamps of the Texas Big Thicket, exploring the ghost lights ( orbs ) on Bragg road ( the ghost road ). Jessica captured one on her thermal blasting by and the crew camera man got excellent shots of one hovering above the canopy and then the light just went out. Last year they filmed some around Mt. Adams area. Now they did prove that some of the lights can be from cars coming down and adjacent road, but those lights are right on the road, and not behaving in any manner light orbs. Heck, this had been known for some time. Swamp gas was a likely culprit as put forth by Phil. Yeah – right!

Should have stated above these are also known as the Saratoga lights, and over the years many have seen headless ghost like and old railroad man as a railroad was built out to this area very early 20th century and I guess a lot of workers died in the construction.

Wow! I’ve never seen these lights but I have a cousin who lives in a rural town in Cental California. She tells me that her family has seen some unexplained lights on occasions behind their property which is adjacent to some hills…I’ve been curious to see them but a little hesitant at the same time. Strangeness in this world…

The powers that be and skeptics often claim that these orbs are really just the reflections of car headlights bouncing around in the atmosphere somehow. Car headlights are the swamp gas of the orb topic. Car lights are a barely plausible explanation for what people see flying around in the woods up and down and around. Just like have swamp gas used to be the barely plausible explanation for UFOs. Just like you saw a bear is the barely plausible explanation for a Sasquatch sighting.

@Jill I love your avatar pic. Nephatia from Sasquatch Ontario. Many see it incorrectly but if you zoom in, you can see him clear as day. He almost looks blue.

My guess would be stroke or heart attack..
In those days as rural as it was likely no Dr even prounced a death…if no signs of murder etc…probably accepted by the local law as natural causes!…Been familiar with “Ghost Lights” since a youngster up close and far away…don’t think they are harmful…unusual yes…able to do some amazing things yes but probably not too malicious…just a bit unsettling and very interesting!
Once clocked their speed using two transits 30 miles apart and found out they’re damn fast (15,000 mph)!

I wonder if there was ever an investigation into his death? Was an autopsy performed? I have heard that autopsies are performed automatically if a person dies unexpectedly without a witness, not sure if that is true.
