Secret Space UFOs: Rise of The TR3B

The “TR-3B” is a name that shows up a lot in UFO and conspiracy discussions, but there’s no credible evidence that such a craft officially exists.

According to popular claims, the TR-3B is supposed to be a top-secret U.S. military aircraft often described as a large, black, triangular vehicle with advanced propulsion, sometimes even “anti-gravity.” These stories are usually tied to sightings of triangle shaped UFOs, especially in the 1980s and 1990s.

In reality, no government agency, including the United States Air Force, has ever acknowledged a program by that name. The idea largely traces back to unverified reports and a 1990s-era newsletter that mixed speculation with alleged insider claims. Since then, it’s been repeated and embellished online.

A more grounded explanation is that many “black triangle” sightings were likely real but misidentified military aircraft. During the Cold War and after, the U.S. tested unusual designs like the F-117 Nighthawk and the B-2 Spirit, both of which looked radically different from conventional planes and were highly secret at the time. Experimental drones and optical illusions (like formation lights at night) can also produce triangular shapes.

So, in short: the TR-3B is best understood as a modern myth built around real secrecy in aerospace testing, rather than a confirmed piece of technology.
