MARS IS ALREADY DEAD. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT NUCLEAR FUSION, BUT MOLECULAR FUSION. THAT IS HOW AMERICAN SUBMARINES MAKE THEIR OWN OXYGEN WHEN SUBMERGED. BY CREATING A STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD BETWEEN TWO OPPOSITELY CHARGED PLATES YOU CAN BREAK DOWN THE COVALENT BONDS OF THE WATER MOLECULE. WHEN THE FIELDS INTENSITY OVERCOMES THE FORCE OF THE MOLECULAR BOND, THE WATER MOLECULE IS DIVIDED INTO OXYGEN AND HYDROGEN GAS. HYDROGEN GAS, REMEMBER THE HINDENBURG? ONE TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICE THAT SEPARATES THE OCEANS OF A WORLD WHILE IGNITING THE HYDROGEN COULD BURN A WORLD UNTIL THE OCEANS ARE EXHAUSTED AS A FUEL SOURCE. ONE HELL OF A DOOMSDAY WEAPON. OR PLANET X CAME CLOSE BY AND SUCKED ITS ATMOSPHERE AWAY. THERE ARE ANCIENT RUINS ON MARS AS WELL AS ON THE MOON…SO THERE!

Humans would have to find a way to kickstart the megnetosphere to protect the planet from solar radiation wouldn’t they?
Otherwise all terraforming efforts would be wasted.
