SC EP:461 Crypto PTSD interview with Sasquatch Chronicles

Here is a look behind the scenes at my interview with Dustin Ducan, who runs “Crypto PTSD,” on iTunes and Youtube. Dustin writes, “Crypto PTSD is a show for people who have had encounters with cryptids. A place to share their stories without fear of ridicule.” Join us as we discuss some encounters and experiences that haven’t aired on Sasquatch Chronicles…

If you get a chance, check out his YouTube channel here. He is also on iTunes.

I want to thank Dustin for having me on and allowing me to post the interview.

Thank you, Wes, for sharing. It helps more than you will ever know!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Hearing these stories makes me feel “normal” per se’. I’m not alone; I’m not the only one. I trust you much. Thank you. You are my hero forever!! I just wish you knew how much you help us!! Love you!!

Wes is a humble guy but I hope he really does take time to appreciate just how many people’s lives he’s changed. People carried horrible, horrible memories locked away they were never allowed to talk about. They were afraid of what the rest of society would say or do or how they would respond. Wes gave hundreds of people the opportunity to discuss their experiences, find out they’re not alone, and speak about something they never had the opportunity to discuss with anyone.
This type of show really was the first of it’s kind out there. His bravery to kick this thing off has lead to a number of other channels and shows who do the exact same thing with a number of different topics.
The Paranormal is real, it happens, and it has a largely negative impact on a number of lives. None of us truly know what Bigfoot, or aliens, or ghosts really are but at least now we’re able to talk about it. That’s step one.

Wes, you are to do what John did – go forward and share what you have learned from him as well as others. Never stop – go forward. For now, without John, YOU are the teacher. Continue teaching as John did. You are the new shoes to fill. Go forward and don’t keep anything to yourself and share the stories so others can learn but mostly so others can feel they are not alone. You are my hero!! Love to you!!

We have been following Dustin”s CRYPTOPTSD show from his very first podcast. At the beginning of his career as a podcast for CRYPTOPTSD he struggled getting folks on to share their experiences. We did our best to urge him to continue and finally he began building momentum hitting the 50 episode mark when suddenly his show stopped publishing new encounters. His show suddenly went dark. We are upset and concerned about him. We, do you know what is happening with CRYPTOPTSD?

Wes, thank you for such a great show, I have truly enjoyed every epasode of Sasquatch Cronicals. Hearing the guest describ their encounters brings forth great knowledge about the Bigfoot mystery.

Thanks Dustin and Wes, really enjoyed the show.

Wes, you are a great role model and a perfect gentleman.
Out of a frightening encounter blossomed something wonderful…… Thank you and keep it up.

Looking forward to this one when I get home. I really like CryptoPTSD. Dustin does a good job of interviewing to get the extra details coaxed out of the guests.
I’ve also noticed that it’s been a while since he has posted any new shows. I hope he’s just busy with life and will get back at it soon.

    Wow right..now that’s the shit…..absolute genuine conversation …FANTASTIC…and boom that’s how it’s done…so I am almost restored in humans…some are still nice?..errr…

Great interview boys ! Wes’s voice has become my bedtime storyteller. It’s embarassing being a middle aged man saying that, but its the truth. I literally only go to one site and thats SC. I only listen to other podcasts if Wes has posted them on his blog. I used to have to search all over for BF content, now its a one stop shop. If its not on SC its probably not even worth looking at or listening to.

It was great to hear you get interviewed, Wes. Dustin, you did a good job. I’ve been enjoying his podcast ever since you fist told us about it. Same with Tony’s.
    Happy weekend all.

_ RH Negative. They say “Reptilians” are partial to RH Negative bloodlines (whatever, That’s what they say!). Nothing kind about being abducted against your will, probed, sexually assaulted and robbed (of genetic material), is there?

Can you read their encounters, rather than having them on the show themselves?

I was thinking. You said ‘it wasn’t a spiritual thing’? Gee whiz Wes, surely you know – there’s the dark side (evil) and light side (good), with countless spiritual entities abounding. Can be spiritually bad. Spiritually good.

So, good advice Wes. People are in such need, and I like how you encourage people to open up and not be afraid. Wasting your time? Really. We are so glad you’re doing this. We really appreciate you and without really knowing you can say we love the work you do. Thank you so much! Oh! Final note! (sorry to say so much about this episode. It was so good!) I swear I saw you off Mountain Loop, standing by the truck with your brother, looking at a folding map. Those guys were either you and Woody, or they were your doubles (doppelgangers?). Shaved heads. Dark glasses. Black shirts and jeans and boots. Fairly tall dudes. They looked like you guys!

Right on Dustin. Good show. Good job. It’s a privilege to hear you guys taking honestly and opening. Bless you both!

Life is good with people like you two and all the other Pioneers who blaze the way to the truths of this Mysterious world. When Reality smacks you in the face it takes strong men like Wes and Woody to accept it an go on but with a different approach on life to spread the word for us unexpected listeners….

I totally loved tonights show… I have listened since day one of your show Wes and with all the early trials you had and those that tried to blow up SC, you have come through and are truly a blessing tto listen to. I have never missed a show and really appreciate who you are on SC and your respect for people and their stories of encounters. The show has come a long way and is the best out there. Thanks for all you do!!! Great Interview tonight with Dustin.

Great interview, Wes! We don’t get to hear much of your analysis of stories, your encounter, etc., from you because you are such a great interviewer. It’s always nice when we’re get to hear you speak and share. I would love it if you would occasionally do episodes where you share some of the stories of those who refuse to come on the show. Sharing those stories in a sterilized form where you protect those individuals would be AMAZING! Think about it, my friend.

I love these episodes where Wes tells stories that haven’t made it on air, and more dogman stories too. Love the dogman stuff, those creatures are much more terrifying than squatches to me, or I like to hear aggressive and violent bigfoot stories. Not so much for the person it happened to but its interesting to hear how they reacted.

  16. Blair D

Yeahhhhhhh, get bob Garrett back on the show please!!!!!! He is probably the best guest you’ve ever had on! His episode was what got me hooked and his second, members show is what made me sign up to be a member….. please bring him back some time sooooooon!!!! Thanks Wes

Na I don’t think anyone really does it “better”, WG. Differently maybe but what makes you so good at this is you are a real gentleman, a consumate professional plus.. no one is easier to listen to than you never fatiguing or irritating. Don’t always agree with your conclusions but doesn’t matter- you the king of the squatch internet.
