SC EP:381 Searching for the creatures

Tonight I will be speaking to Greg Yost. Greg is from Louisville Kentucky and now resides in Jeffersonville Indiana, right across the Ohio river. Greg spent 10 years in the United States Navy.

Greg will be sharing some of his encounters tonight. It all started with an unexpected encounter and ever since that day Greg has been searching for these creatures. He has even ran into strange lights while out.

Below are some images he sent me.

      Mr. Yost:
I must say that I do not agree with most of your conclusions, AND THAT IS GOOD! I can listen to myself talk any time.
Many members of this forum are learning and evolving because of guest like you.
      What I especially appreciate is:
      * You mentioned specific locations.
      * You shared pictures.
      * You did not censor your experiences.
      * You appeared under your real name! (I do not begrudge guests who appear under pseudonyms as they must protect themselves.)
I hope we all welcome people like you with whom we do not agree, but still respect.
Thank you also for your service to our country.
Well done sir, and well done Wes!
      ??????????

      • Jan F

        Who do you serve?
        The flag?
        Your country?
Am just saying..what country have you not been in war whit?
And what Will GOD say to that?

      • Cathy S

I want to hear another episode of Greg. Although I don’t think SASQUATCH is godly in any sense but I think he’s on to something. Is there another episode with him I haven’t heard?

  1. Martin Z

To the rest of you who don’t put up or shut up. This guest has pics to back up their encounters and isn’t afraid to show them. How many people have we heard over the years say” I HAVE TONS OF PICS, VIDEO, BODY PARTS, ECT BUT I’M NOT READY TO SHOW IT YET” Thank you Greg for your courage, hard work and thoughtfulness in bringing us these pics and video.

  2. Shelly S

Ok…thats it…I am a normal person who isn’t a saint but I have had it with people and their rude and biased comments. Wes, I love your show. But no longer will I read comments from mean, rude, immature people. Because people talk different than them isn’t a reason to make fun of them. I thank you for your service, Greg, and for telling your encounters and beliefs. I will enjoy the diversity and differences in the guests encounters and beliefs but I won’t ever read the comments again. Nor will anyone have to read my comments. I have had it with humanity.

    • Mary H

Shelly I agree with you. Given the choice I think I would rather be a little slow of speech than be cruel or critical of someone that I don’t even know the background on.

    • Diana I

Shelly I agree. some of the above comment are rude. 1st off this guest served our country (he’s due respect). Just because he doesn’t speak clearly rude people have to attack him…this is exactly why more people don’t come out with their encounters. Wes thanks for having him on. And Greg thanks for serving our country and telling us your encounters. I think all guest deserve respect this means keeping your rude comments to yourself.

      • Tammi C

…I agree that blatantly rude comments are not respectful but every commenter has a right to their opinion. And, some of said commenters have served their country too, just sayin.

    • Shana K

My thoughts exactly Shelly-unfortunately, this is the attitude and general lack of respect of the population nowadays. I wont ever understand why it seems so easy for some to disrespect total strangers–idk, my parents raised me better than that I suppose. Greg is a good ole boy, a pure heart and honest in his recounts, and as far as im concerned thats probably why hes gotten so close. Wes finds him interesting obviously, and thats why we heard a great show tonight. Thanks again for putting your thoughts out there.

    • F S

      Shelly:
Don’t let the chicken-shit babies get you down.
Mom made them clean their basement rooms for Thanksgiving.
Like THEY would ever be brave enough to appear in an interview?

    • Tedd

I agree and maybe people need to learn what was once more common than not, if you’ve got nothing nice or constructive to say, shut the hell up.
I had no trouble hearing or understanding Mr. Yost because I was more interested in what was being said rather than how it’s said. Bunch of spoiled brats complain if not a perfect phone line, accent, blah blah… go make your own show.

    • Marlene M

I know what you mean Shelly. I, too, am so disallusioned with the rude conduct that seems to run rampent in our society. All of a sudden I find myself so upset with the way people treat others. Where making fun of people is the new norm. Can’t you disagree with some class at least? I’m from San Francisco and the accent is not something I hear very often. But I probably have an accent to some! I guess I thought if you were open minded enough to listen to these encounters, you were open minded enough to know we are all different, have different voice fluctuations and linguistic styles. . Some have better communication skills. That’s all. Some have a larger vocabulary than others. Let’s all show more patience, understanding and acceptance of those we disagree with, especially those we disagree with. Hes a nice man and doesn’t deserve such harsh comments. Thank you.

  3. Mauri G

Greg’s beliefs about Bigfoot are out there,,but all the mysterys surrounding Bigfoot are out there as well. What ever the truth is with Bigfoot has to be really out there as well or the government would have fessed up to it’s existence years ago. thanks for sharing your stories and pictures

  4. John G

Saschron is far and away the best in the business. This seemed like a Carbon copy of when Greg was on Vic Cundiffs Eyewitness Radio… That being said, the two shows were pretty disappointing. That cop yesterday talked for 45mins about his job. And then gave a 5 min B level encounter at the end.we need something BIG!! Like another “siege of hoonabi” or better yet.,. Another “Chewbacca Man”…. LoL I guess the good ones can be hard to come by when you do your show honestly like Wes does.. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I can suffer through a few lackluster guests to know that we are getting some of the best and most honest eyewitnesses and guest available. I’m glad that when things get stale Wes doesn’t just make shit up out of the blue like William jevning does. There’s no mr. X or mr. black or whatever horseshit Jevning comes up with to try to put a face to his lies. Thank you for the shows Wes I look forward to the next ones.

    • Pete M

I enjoyed the cop interview yesterday, I think he set it up nicely, much more believable than some guests I’ve heard lately. Vic and Duke, have had some real bullshitters lately, unfortunately here too, like the guy that shot, and “killed” a devil goat-man up in his tree and left it there. Photographed it, came back and it’s gone, photos now gone too. Lots of blood everywhere. I do believe in the supernatural, that being said, you cannot “kill” a devil with a shotgun. Story had more holes than the goat devil. Duke had a Jane Goodall guy that raised an orphaned Bigfoot from the friendly side of the river, he played soccer with it, groomed it, “he hugged it, and petted it, and squeezed it…” Oh and it’s parents were murdered by those darn Californians that come into your state and kill the nice Bigfoot without a proper tag. Watching Duke defend his guests at all costs after listeners call them out is often more entertaining than the interview itself! He gets downright snippy, it’s funny, but he’s actually the best kind of friend to have, you can be the biggest bullshitter out there, but if he believes you, he’s got your back brother.

  5. Asheim

If I can learn my husband’s northern Norway dialect I can learn “redneck.” This guy has had some really frightening encounters. Thanks Greg and Wes for the show! Stay safe ya’ll.

  6. Susan H

I agree with Shelly. If you expect people to be a certain way in their speech then you need to listen to fiction with actors otherwise quit being ao hypacrital and enjoy the story, if not just don’t listen but dont be rude.

  7. Jim R

I didn’t realize their were so many elitists who listen to the show. The same elitists who who have no tolerance for and put down a guest for his accent or dialect likely preach tolerance and bend over backwards to understand accent or dialect of somebody from foreign country. These same elitists who think they are superior to and smarter than the people in the rural areas of America would be the same people who would be helpless if ever stranded in the wilderness and incapable of surviving unless they had help from their supposedly inferior rural American counterparts. And by the way I’ve lived in urban & suburban NJ my whole life. So I am very familiar with elitists who mistakenly think they are superior to Americans from rural areas with different dialects.

  8. John

I dont ever have anything negative to say nor will i ever feel a certain way its all positive an respectful on my end and i respect all walks of life and all peoples WE THE PEOPLE who are boss and one people ANYHOW. 9. John

Jim R. I agree 100% im a former new yorker who made his way to the more free state of pennsylvania im an avid outdoorsman hunter gatherer survivalist, when SHTF the elitists wont survive,

  10. John

I dont ever have anything negative to say towards how a person speaks or there accent etc nor will i ever feel a certain way to post negativity about guests on this show. all positive an respectful on my end and except elitists an gun grabber 2nd amendment haters ……Wonderful story. and great knowledge i have been gaining since show number 1 and been piecing together every detail about these creatures an mysteries surroounding them from eye witnesses, i have never had an encounter but I know what to do if one takes place in my life, i feel its only a matter of time that were gonna get closer an closer to crack the mystery about these creatures and i cant wait. I sent Wes a pic of what could only be a Sasquatch full body up close color (blurry of course) looking directly at the security cam, grey skin showing where hair was missing and on the palm of enormous hands and most stunning of all it obviously had a skinned animal (most probably a dog from next door) draped over its shoulder. This was taken in Anderson, CA, just south of Redding in the yard of an old lady. She had heard noise in her yard so she had the security cam installed. I found the photo very unsettling. The old lady refused to look at the photo a second time and she moved from her long time home on the outskirts of town to an apartment in town as soon as she could. Wes never replied to my email. I’m sure he receives many and I don’t really know what to do with the pic.

    • Lisa S

Believe it or not, people addicted to cigarettes will do anything for a smoke. This is from a nurse who has observed them sneaking one while on oxygen & dying of cancer.

      • Tammi C

I don’t smoke but if I was “dying of cancer” from them and really enjoyed smoking, well….. I would probably keep smoking too. Although I’d get the Indian brand ones with no added chemicals. I think the added chems are what started all the cancer, not the tobacco per se; otherwise cancer would have been an issue in our society early on and it wasn’t! That’s my two cents on that topic since you brought it up. 🙂

  12. Sid N

It seems to me there is too much focus on Greg’s speech pattern, when the focus should be the contents of what he is saying. It was only a few years ago that it was impossible to get all this information at our finger tips. I’m reminded that very hungry people will eat the food set before and they’re not that finicky. Pretty soon when they have ”steak” everyday, they become picky and complain about the wonderful things set before them. Wes, you’ve created a monster that is eating “steak” every day, but wants to complain about it! It’s taking more and more “steak” to satisfy the greedy appetite! Thank you Greg for your experiences and I’m acutely aware, these are your experiences and you have no obligation to share, but you kindly do!

  13. michael m

ANOTHER GREAT SHOW,ENJOYED LISTENING TO YOUR GUEST,IM FROM KENTUCKY,AND I ENJOY LISTENING TO ALL TYPES OF ACCENTS FROM ALL AROUND OUR COUNTRY,AND THE WORLD.REMEMBER,MOMMA ALWAYS SAID LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES IF YOU CANT SAY SUMPIN NICE DONT SAY NOTHING AT ALL.GOD BLESS

    • Sunny N

It’s because people are so rude and nasty to the guests. This USED to be a safe place to tell your encounter without fear of the listeners turning and tending you like feral hogs… it is no longer due to the nasty attitudes. I believe Wes should disable comments and then maybe people would feel comfortable to come on and tell their story without being shredded to pieces. No one wants that. They cost Wes many interviews and part of me thinks that is their intent.

  14. Brian S

    Great show Wes!
I had my encounter and I know they exist. But I come here to hear other encounters and escape humanity for a while. It sucks that after the show humanity rears its ugly head in the comments. I don’t understand how people can bash somebody because of the way he talks. Listen to the words not the way they are spoken. “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”

  15. Jason T

These rude comments are probably one reason why people are so hesitant to come on the show. I lost one of my best friends because he got mad at me for telling people we saw “Bigfoot”. He says people think you’re crazy and a liar, stop telling them I was with you. Ok now I’m not shy one bit and don’t give a crap what people think!!! Anyway haters make us famous keep up the good work most people need to keep their hands in there pocket and stay on the concrete. Greg was awesome and his dog sounds like he was awesome too. People can have a very strong connection with their dogs. Dogs will have your back and they do understand you, wether it’s your words or emotions. I could understand everything he said thanks for having him on!!

  16. Brad S

I dont know how seriously I take this guy’s stories or pictures but I freaking loved listening to him. Lol. He sounds like a nut and I mean that in a nice way. Sounds like he would be fun to be around if nothing else.

  17. Matthew M

I think some people are mistaking poking fun at an accent vs laughing about the fact he was most likely buzzed/drunk. Going back for the beer and cigarettes provides some circimstantial evidence to this observation (and is funny as hell).

I do appreciate the fact that he had the courage to come on the show and I enjoyed the story and pics. Sounds like a really cool, salt of the earth kind of guy. I’m from GA and I love a good southern accent. Makes me feel like I’m home again.

  18. winkatme

SEARCHING FOR CREATURES TAKE 2! It’s NOT about speech patterns, accents, being slow or from the south. It’s about talking like you have a mouth full of $H*T when your $H*T~FACED! I would love it if he came back and retold his experiences after a strong pot of coffee and some Redbull! That’s a show worth hearing again! It’s an HONOR to be on Wes’s show and it should be treated as such. MUCH LUV, WINK

  19. Brad S

BTW, I’m a Georgia boy and have been mocked about my accent by northern elitists more times than I care to remember. With that in mind, I would like to point out that this dude is from Indiana. I still think he seems like a good guy who would be a hoot to hangout with. Not sure I buy what he’s selling but who cares?

  20. Chad W

I’m sorry, but once I hear talk of interdemensional beings… I’m out. I’m sure that there are many things in this world that I do not understand but as a rational thinking person the LAST thing I’m going to as my explanation is biblical or some kind of extraterrestrial being. They bleed, they eat, they breathe, they mate, they shit in the woods. I think they are just SO unlike anything anyone has ever seen and their size so incomprehensible and their biomechanics so bizarre and so impossible for our minds to grasp that we think they MUST be not of this world. Unless Sasquatch is the extraterrestrial equivalent of sending chimps into space and Gray aliens are just sending them out first to test out their portals… then I say they are only flesh and blood.

  21. Rob S

I’ll listen to the episode because I want to hear if Wes can get any coherent info out of this guy but I’m a bit tired of Greg Yost and his Teddy bear behind a tree story. My take on every Greg Yost interview I’ve heard so far is the guy took one too many LSD tabs and never quite returned to earth. I’m very open minded and like to reserve my judgment but it’s a bit much for me.

  22. Dovie D

Thank you Wes. Great show. This guys sounds like someone I knew in my youth. I grew up in Southern California ? I haven’t lived there in years but great personality. He sounds down to earth. I appreciate guests who come on to share. I understand why you have a hard time getting guests on.
I would love to hear his audio too. Thank? Yes be careful their not all the general giants one thinks. Here in Oregon another hunter came up missing again

  23. Isabella I

Before I listened to the interview, I looked at the photos and thought they looked just like a teddy bear I owned as a child. Then a few minutes into the interview Greg actually talked about his dog who looks just like a teddy bear I thought to myself noooooo. I’m not calling BS on his encounters but the photos do looked staged/photoshopped I know there’s going to be a few people who won’t agree with me but it’s just what I’m seeing from these photos. I enjoyed the interview Wes interesting guy I’ve never heard about Greg before but then I’m new to the Bigfoot world, and I’m a believer not a troll.

  24. Pat T

Wes, I’ve always given the guest the benefit of the doubt on your show as I know it takes courage to come on and share your experience with others possibly facing ridicule afterwards. In the case of Greg I have to say his stories seem non fabricated but the photos I have to call hoax on. Unless I’m looking at these wrong I’d say that’s some cat with a beard wearing some fabricated hoody made to look like matted hair. If I’m wrong in my assessment someone please point that out to me. Love you Wes and this great show!

  25. Scott D

Just because someone objects to an encounter being authentic doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate the guest to some degree or Wes’s efforts. The idea that we all have to agree is silly–go back to grade school if that is your view, and more so, that we should be quiet because “we don’t have something nice to say” defies logic as this is a serious topic and if someone is frauding, it should be exposed for the sake of the legitimate encounters. Wes can only do so much.

The black and white picture looks like a guy in a ghillie suit. You can see his goatee (and beard) if you look. It’s clear as day, especially in the top photo with the writing on it.

I listened to the show twice, as I do all of them. If you listen closely to what he says, it is pretty clear that his narrative is not as coherent as it should be. Random thoughts enter his mind and he expresses them, which may indicate buying time while constructing a story. This happened numerous times during the interview. Is he telling the truth? I don’t know. But if this is the kind of encounter and information that some of you want to hang your credibility on and use it to demonstrate to others this is all real, good luck with that….you’ll do more harm than good to the cause.

  26. Brad S

That has been my biggest gripe with Bigfoot sites, groups on Facebook etc. You are supposed to either keep your mouth shut or act like you believe every story no matter how silly. This Greg guy seems like a nice guy but he lost me with the portal stuff and how anybody could still be on board when he said he had a recording g of Bigfoot speaking g in a British accent is beyond me. If that doesn’t set off an alarm, you are just plain gullible.

DITTO….maybe some of the comments are a little rough but it’s called CUSTOMER FEEDBACK and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. We PAY for this and keep the site going and hopefully put a little food on Wes’s table and a little money in his pocket for his family. We DESERVE nothing less than quality, sincere, truthful encounters by sober witnesses. I’D RATHER HAVE A WEEK WITHOUT AN ENCOUNTER THAN AIRE A GUEST WHO LIKELY IS NOT BEING TRUTHFUL and or is under the influence of..something. WES IS THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE AND ITS HIS JOB TO SMOKE THESE GUYS OUT. WHEN HE FAILS AS HE DOES FROM TIME TO TIME ITS OUR DUTY TO ENSURE QUALITY AND CALL OUT THINGS THAT “are not quite right”. IT CHEAPENS THE SITE, THE SUBJECT AND ADDS FUEL TO THE SKEPTIC CROWD WHEN WE ARE EXPECTED TO BELIEVE EVERY WILD DETAIL THAT THE LAST COUPLE OF GUESTS HAVE PRESENTED. HOPE THINGS TURN AROUND CUZ THE LAST COUPLE OF SHOWS WERE HARD TO SWALLOW…. WITHOUT ICE AND A CHASER???

Greg’s first encounter, when he fled in the car and stated he left his cigarettes on the picnic table, LMAO! I smoke, I thought to myself, “Self, we are going back for those Camels, Sasquatch or no Sasquatch”, and he did! What a HOOT!

  28. DONNA G

I don’t comment often but I just had to tonight. I have understood every word Greg has said. I hate reading all these negative comments also. If I saw some of them and might have entertained the idea of calling in with my encounter, I think I would have second thoughts because it’s hard enough to come out with your story if you think people will make fun of you. I understand why some YouTube channels have the comments disabled. Greg I would like to say “Go Navy”. My Dad was a Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War. Thank you for your service and for coming on and bringing those pictures. . I enjoyed hearing all your encounters and appreciate Wes for having you on here.

  29. Sue H

Thanks for sharing Greg. I’ve seen some of your pictures online before and I think you’re the real deal! Fascinating encounters and I love your accent – (a non-elitist New Englander)!

  30. Dave W.

I am new here. One of the reasons that is, is because I have browsed other blogs and I see the same thing as the rest. People just can’t afford the common decency to just LISTEN without judgement. Different people speak with different dialects, based on the original language spoken when their home area was founded. Cajuns speak with a different dialect of English. It is a compilation of French Creole and English with a southern accent. Some people speak FASTER with an accent, such as in NY City, where Puerto Ricans and Mexican have mixed their own dialects.
A Spanish speaking person from Mexico sounds different to a Spanish speaking native of Spain, and vice versa. Now I am no linguist, but I know a bit on the accents from different places in America. I have been all over this country, and the world. This guy does not present as “drunk” or “under chemical influence”. I have served in the Marines, with guys from everywhere. I have heard so many accents I lost count. And yes I knew a guy from Kentucky who talked just like this guy, Southern accent, a slow drawl, everything. LOL I DARE anyone to challenge him to an Intelligence test. Tom would win every time.
Be careful who you judge and how you judge them, you may just end up eating a huge slice of Humble Pie.

I understand human nature. It is customary for many to tear down what they see as different from them. It’s a self preservation mechanism. But it is a failed mechanism.
Without different colors, we would have no paintings. No Mona Lisa, No Whistler’s Mother, NO SISTINE CHAPEL. Everything would be the same. No differences to celebrate. I shouldn’t be surprised to find that type of ignorance here. It abounds everywhere. But shouldn’t this be a SAFE PLACE, free of judgement?? We are all different, but we share ONE BIG SIMILARITY between us….we all believe in something that others would ridicule us for admitting to believing in.

Anyways, I joined here hoping to find open minded individuals, not the typical closed minded, intolerant drones we see in everyday. I hope I was right.

  31. Evelyn L

Is this really how the people who listen to this forum act? Instead of listening to what this man had to say they are fixated on his manner of speech? The guy is older. You don’t know what kind of disability he may have. If you can’t get past the way he speaks then go hang out with other perfect people like yourself.
I do think it is sad when any person gets the impression that these creatures are people. I do believe the DNA results that say that they have human DNA but they are certainly not human. That mouse with a human ear on it was not human. DNA manipulation puts various genetic characteristics together and a genetic hybrid is the result. It is not human. If it were human it would not be hanging around far out in the wilderness eating the entrails of animals raw. They would use tools and fire as well as make more complex shelters. For as long as these beings have existed they have not advanced technologically at all. That is not human.

  32. Evelyn L

Feeding the “forest creatures” pastries and other junk food should have made them angry! That stuff is poison! Why would you feed anyone that junk?! It would kill any wild animal!
The outer space “aliens” are the same beings that put together these genetic hybrid monstrosities. They are not from some other galaxy. They are the same inter dimensional beings that have been perverting the creation for eons. Their entire agenda is to pervert, to deceive, and to eventually takeover. He told a Catholic priest about it? Well, it’s is the Catholic Church that is ready to baptize the space “aliens.” They never have respect the Bible and still do not.

    • Tammi C

…the Catholic Church actually transcribed and preserved the Holy Bible so I don’t know where you get the idea they don’t respect it, lol. As for the alien thing, the Catholic Church does not believe in aliens, they believe them to be demonic.

  33. Miss Kendall S

I know this is a few years old and I’m not sure if you get notified when someone leaves a comment but I was wondering if he has come back for a second show because that was Great and he was too..

  34. Janet P

I really enjoyed listening to his stories. Just because of the way he talks some of you think he’s drunk, that’s awful to say just because you don’t like his voice. I was really saddened to hear the stay dog got left. I’m sure the BF had been following it and ended up in his camp.

  35. Blanche D

I had very mixed reactions to Greg. At certain points I wasn’t sure about him because of the way he spoke, his speech pattern. I thought his voice was forced. Although I was inclined to believe everything he outlined. I felt this way because when he spoke about the recording his voice sounded normal. I myself have a croaky voice, I tried to be open minded. Consequently, his encounters remain in the undecided camp. The pix are inconclusive but compelling. Would have liked to have heard the recording and maybe have corroberation from another witness. I would lik to hear from him again because obvs his encounters were if true amazing.
