SC EP:232 Interrupting The Creature’s Hunt

Spoke to a hunter yesterday that had two encounters over the years with these creatures. The first encounter he had was out hunting in Idaho. He noticed an elk running in his direction.

What concerned the hunter was something must have been chasing the elk. The hunter says “I looked up and the elk changed directions and started heading right at me, the elk ran right passed me like it could careless I was there, confused I watched it pass by and then turned back around to see this very large creature giving chase come to a complete stop. It had a rock in its hand, I had never seen anything like this before. We stared at each other for what seemed like forever and what happened next I will never forget….”

Been doing work on the the house with my husband instead. And now just unwinding after a drink.
    Thanks
Will listen later. I’m first! Yeahhhh!
Wes hope you have a great 4th

  2. Bruce D

WOW! I feel this man’s fear and not knowing what he was up against. Thank you for being brave enough to tell us your story so we can learn again.

Wes, please relay to this gentleman that he did a tremendous job recounting his encounters. My heart goes out to him as I have heard numerous times that encounters are life changing and sometimes life altering. I hope he is able to move on at some point and not be concerned with non-knowers or their lack of compassion for the experiences. Thank you for the show and Happy 4th to you and yours!

Government weenies out of control. They know what is best for us all. Wait until next year when you have to line up to get your oxygen coupons from them so you can legally breath.

    Another great show, thanks again.

Thanks for sharing ! After the first encounter I would have had a hard time being out hunting again let alone staying out in the ID wilds up in a deer stand with a fresh kill dangling there like a carrot . Especially after the first incident and a mystery chipmunk scamming my snacks .

What’s wrong with flute players ? Jethro Tull plays flute , he’s cool ! Even brings you songs from the wood .

Thanks for taking the time to put this interview together during a busy weekend. As always looking forward to the next show! Happy Fourth!!

It’s one of the reasons why WA State lacks value and is such a shitty state. I grew up in WA state and it’s become such a reprobate & pathetic state. I will never live in such a liberty-preventing hell-hole again.

What a scary, but interesting encounter! The bf tossed the rock aside! (Kinda like, oh sh**, give it up), and backed off. I think it was a –
“my elk’s gone, human here – danger – I’m outta here” type thinking moment. And I mean thinking. Very interesting! Thank you “Jimmy” for telling us your story. Thank you Wes!

I was thinking, and having longer forearms and long arms in general would be really good for throwing rocks faster. The farther from the shoulder you swing a rock the faster youll be able to throw because the hand will move a farther distance in the same time the further from the shoulder it is.

due to the emotions showed by both Wes and the guest during their exchange this entire interview, it has become one of my more favorite episodes. Thank you both.

Great stuff… Thank you guest for sharing.
Wes, would love an update from the big thicket watch guys. Mainly Bob after the last expedition. Law enforcement seamed focused on him more. I should scan through the blogs to see if anything was brought up.Been so busy.
    Looking forward to more.

Great show. Did anyone notice the second guest sounded a little like Foster Brooks? I mean no disrespect. It just made me laugh a little. His stories were awesome!

Great episode!!! Squatch taking bull elk with a rock sounds so primal. That’s hardcore hunting, chasing your prey down to chuck a rock or smash for the takedown. A real puckercheek moment! just a note here people for observation; when animals run by you in flight and especially large ones, there’s something coming! Follow them quickly lol.

Hey Wes, move down to Texas, fireworks are only sold for about five days or so before July 4th and New Years Eve, sales end at midnight on the actual holiday, but you can pop them off year round once you’ve bought them. My boys and I pop our own every year and then attend the local public display. I used to live in Texas town of over 100K people that would put on an elaborate $20K show, we now live in a smaller Texas town with only 2K people, and my wife and I agreed it was just as spectacular if not more so. I felt good when you started telling your experience, and then it quickly became depressing, no fireworks on the 4th, that’s just unAmerican!

Around 2006 or 2007 I was elk hunting in Idaho with a friend. I think it was the Challis national Forest.
I spent 2 weeks there camping and hunting everyday. There was sign but it was like 3 days old everywhere we went.
Something was pushing those elk and it was not people? It could have been wolves as we did hear them and in broad daylight.
Only animal I saw in 2 weeks was a black bear on another high ridge.
Heck there were bighorn sheep down on the hardtop road.
Ran into a game warden one day and got to talking to him and he said why don’t you have a gun? We were bow hunting and my friend did not want to bring a sidearm. Game warden told us he would never leave his truck without a gun!
We were like 50 miles from a town where you could get gas and supplies. I would love to go back.

Jimmy’s account of both encounters was heartfelt, articulate and full of fascinating and authentic detail. Gratitude to the man for being on the show. The background lore in the small town was interesting too. Would have liked to hear more about that. Though, apparently, there were reasons for not going into it. Anyhow, great interview, Wes. Thanks.

  17. Gina O

Thanks for sharing your encounters Jimmy. Have you seen the drawing the sketch artist did for Mike Wooley of his Bigfoot sighting? His Bigfoot also had a very human face.

  18. Janet P

Well, well, well. This Jimmy is Kevin from the Glagg Saga on Brian Sullivan’s show World Bigfoot Radio. There were 7 episodes on how he rescued a orphan bigfoot and in essence raised him over several years spending time going to visit him. Supposedly Kevin was I believe 14 years old when he began the story. Kevin hadn’t seen a bigfoot prior to “Glagg”. This guy (Jimmy/Kevin) is apparently a great actor. I and many others believed this guy and his story of the orphan bigfoot. Huge disappointment here! Guess that’s why you replayed this episode Wes.

  19. Lee F

I thought his story was consistent between Duke’s Show & this one. I think this was Kevin’s first foray into telling his story & went with an alias. On the first Glagg episode, he tells the same story of his first encounter – albeit truncated as he gave some background perspective. His second encounter was in greater detail on Duke’s show because that was when he first met Glagg.

But after listening to this again today & the first Glagg episode, I thought it was consistent except for his name.

  20. David J

Jimmy was on World Bigfoot Radio #40 using the name Kevin. A tale of befriending the young sasquatch that tried to take his deer. Playing, feeding, reading books to, swimming over a 3-4 year period. Why didn’t he mention this to Wes on this show??

  21. Lori W

Yep….. The second I heard that unmistakable voice and speach pattern…I knew it was “Kevin” of the Glag or Gleg saga….. So I guess unfortunately this was all bs and the Glag saga was bs too…. at least it’s verification that he is a hoaxer. He can’t disguise his voice.

  22. jade W

Okay.. I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed that we know him as Kevin… not Jimmy.. but whatever dnt think this could be made up… I absolutely adore this guy!!

    • Terri N

I’m with you Jade W.! It appears that Kevin aka Jimmy, wanted to share minimal information at this time. I can imagine that If he chose to share it all… It may not have made it onto this podcast. And, he was Just coming out too. Kevin has never displayed anything untrustworthy , I’ve followed him for some time. It’s interesting, the extent of his many experiences, he is very clear about the details of each encounter. I trust that I would be that way if I’d ever encounter them too!

  23. Tyler W

I am sure others remember this, but the guests whole story was done in a special Saga length biography of sorts, by World Bigfoot Radio on YouTube , or his 2nd channel “Brian Sullivan”, both have most episodes but the format is easier for long listening on his Brian Sullivan channel. Looks for : ” The Glag Saga” , I even believe it was compiled into a single episode by a fan. If you like Wes and Duke , then you : NEED TO LISTEN TO THE GLAG SAGA ! I have come to endeer this Man and his story, he has a great heart, he has an amazing spirit and one hell of an epic to share with all. It kinda of went under the radar around 2017 somehow, but it is absolutely fascinating what information he decided to share and also thE interactions and adventures and stories are amazing.

Just a heads up, for any new listeners, if you don’t know Duke yet, he and Wes have been doing excellent shows together since I believe the inception of Sasquatch Chronicles in 2012; and his ‘World Bigfoot Radio’ is great if you have yet to experienced his show? It really rolls along side well with Sasquatch Chronicles, but with a bit more introspective, theoretical, spiritual & philosophical topics and debate, but it is great debate and controversially perfect for fans who are tired of one sided and bias ‘Creek Devil” rhetoric … but also many encounters and experiencers mix it up and Duke does a great job interviewing and being a great host! Oh…and not just limited to just Bigfoot either! Dogman, Trolls, Littlefoot, Microfoot, Puckwudgies, History, TROLLS! Mountain Giants, Stick Indians, Gugwe, etc; etc; etc! And TROLLLS!!! When you see the episode with a actual picture of a Troll… WTF!?!? it may make you rethink everything you thought you were to believe about ‘make believe’ and some+

  24. Tracy C

Thank you Wes and Jimmy- interesting episode on behavior! Or thought process?
I can imagine homesquatch turning around frustrated and “flicking” the rock away. (Hunting with rocks explains why they are such good shots with acorns and pebbles). Don’t you know its dinner time? I get hungry too?
And then there’s Woody, dont you know it’s the 4th? Turning around, ticked off and tossing the fireworks.
Law don’t go around in these here parts, savvy? ☺

  25. L S

That’s real good, Law Dawg, ‘Cause law just don’t go around here.

I immediately recognized “Jimmy’s” voice. This story he’s telling here ain’t nuthin compaired to his Glagg stories. I still have dreams about Glagg.

  26. L S

People are saying “Jimmy” or Kevin is a hoaxer because he changed his name on this podcast, or he didn’t tell the same story. No. He told the SAME story. He just didn’t tell All of the story. He finally told it all on the Brian Sullivan (Duke’s) podcast and it took 7 long episodes, and I’m sure he still left things out there too. He has not contradicted anything other than acting like he knew less than what he does know about them when talking to Wes here. But he’s kept this secret for many many years, so this should surprise no one. You have to cover a lot of things in order to keep such secrets. Also, practically everyone changes their name when they come on the show. The Glaggs Saga is a remarkable and beautiful story and is too detailed and too consistent to be made up. I believe it.

Thinking abiut how bears will sometimes break into cabins or homes closest to the woods. Scary to think these things could do the same if they wanted to. Nothing really to stop them.
