The Olympic Project is an association of dedicated researchers, investigators, biologists and trackers committed to documenting the existence of Sasquatch through science and education. Co-Founder Derek Randles of the Olympic Project has an expedition this weekend in Washington State. My good friend Shane Corson from Monster X sent me the invite.
I interviewed several of the Olympic Project members and they will be sharing their encounters with us tonight. I will also be interviewing Thomas Steenburg who is an author and researcher.

Wes I very much enjoyed this EP. Thanks for putting in the extra work to go out in the field and give us this show. I found it very interesting to have people on the same team interviewed about their experiences. They are clearly comfortable working with each other and their candor in speaking to you made it clear you were welcome in their camp. The encounter interviews were excellent.
Thanks again.

The last speaker on the show is full of crap I think he craps his pants daily he is so full of it-he just discredited so many good folks out there! anyone who thinks Klamath,Snohomish ,Puyallup ,screams are coyotes are plain wet behind the ears! they just don’t know what they are talking about and Wes if you are going to sit there and agree with him on your show you are just as guilty of discrediting so many folks on so many levels!,just because you have a show to run don’t mean you have to agree with every idiot that comes on,now I know that some screams are not Sasquatch screams but instead are coyotes like the ones from Umatilla and other places , as for the Klamath,Snohomish,Puyallup, Hokket meadows,Missouri screams by randy Savic etc.these are (NOT) coyotes!,first of all coyotes area pack animal and you don’t even hear other coyotes join in on these sound files as they usually would, and ask yourself will a lone coyote come from over a mile away to predate on a group of 5 people with a radio blasting? all the while screaming louder than a fire engine -HELL NO! bottom line GOD don’t make coyotes that big and mad SORRY! this idiot will get a slap across his fat little mouth when I see him for thinking he knows everything when in fact he knows nothing – just another fool out there with night vision and plaster! I hope he steps in Squatch doo doo! and gets screamed at so bad he soils himself and begins to really know his world LOL!this site so went down to mush without the old crew ,I mean you have Wes agreeing with this guy that these screams are probably coyotes but you can go back to episode 62 and you hear WES agreeing with me and Jevning that it is a Sasquatch just due to the sheer volume ,I live in the foothills of San Jose -Santa Cruz Mountains and we hear packs of coyotes that live in the hillside just blocks away and even when they are howling as a pack they still can’t come close the the hoarseness and sheer volume that is emitted by a Sasquatch-if you were to compare the volume of the animals side by side a Squatch would completely drown out the whole pack and the pack itself would be hightailing it out of dodge! on volume comparison the coyote pack would be around a 3-4 on a scale of 1-10 compared to the squatch , Wes you can go ahead and say stuff like well if you don’t like it you can leave B.S. like you do when anyone says anything you don’t like but bottom line is you agreeing with that idiot hurts so many people in so many ways!looks like the forum is the only thing worth paying for nowadays!
Ben T
I thought he was awesome and very interesting to listen to

I will just say this anyone who knows the power of a mini 14 with a 40 round clip taped to another upside down 40 round clip ain’t gonna be worried about a coyote or even a pack of coyotes ,with 80 rounds at your disposal it is going to be a case of doggy down!,you with lay’em all flat as a pancake in a matter of seconds! it only takes a few seconds to dump a clip but that’s not what happened in my buddies case Michael Orr. who has been hearing these vocals all his life in Whitehouse canyon and one night he got so annoyed at it he put his robe on grabbed his mini 14 w/ 80 rounds and went to go butt heads with this thing ,the minute he got out in the bush in the forest beyond his home he realized his gun was no match for what was screaming at him so he carefully backed out in the footsteps he came in on taking care not to trip and fall as he backed out all the while with the safety off and finger on the trigger-BOTTOM LINE HUNTERS ARE NEVER WORRIED ABOUT COYOTES WHEN THEY HAVE A MINI 14 AND 80 ROUNDS IT JUST DON’T HAPPEN IN REALITY-JUST FOR THE RECORD! KLAMATH,SNOHOMISH,PUYALLUP, SCREAMS ARE NOT COYOTES!
Jason C
Who Hunts with a Mini 14 ?

Scratch That….. Take It Easy Cheetah ! Not So Fast… I am Sure Wes didn’t have Episode 63 In His Mind. When Who ever Said What Ever ? And I am Certain He didn’t Change His Opinion ? With Intentions on Discrediting Anyone ? What Purpose would That Serve ?
Why Flying Off The Handel ? Over something So Silly ? With SO Many People adding Ideas ? Who Even Remembers Episode 63 ? Hey , I Will Take your Word for It ! They were NOT Coyote’s. Take It Easy Chief .
Jacqueline O
Jesus Christ, these forums just keep getting better and better…who needs “General Hospital” or “Days of Our Lives” when we have Sasquatch Chronicles”!
Christopher c., You were the guest in episode 62? If so, I didn’t know… I need to re-listen!
I’ve noticed a lot of members venting their anger lately…I wonder why? Full moon perhaps?
You mentioned, “the site went to mush without the old crew”… I also enjoyed listening to Will, Wes, and Woody. It seems people either love or hate Will Jeving. He is a very intelligent man with valuable insight needed for the subject, but unfortunately too many SC members are quick to throw him under the bus, and treat other “scientists”, “researchers”, “experts” the same, for a variety of individual reasons.
Wes is the Alpha male and the audience loyally follows his lead. It is human behavior. Of course there are the black sheep who see through the curtains and call BS, which is important, because most of the time there is truth behind the so-called “BS”, and let’s not forget the “insane” sheep who missed their flight to the Hale-Bopp Comet with “Heaven’s Gate”! BTW, I’m not insinuating that Sasquatch do not exist or that Wes is a fraud. I’m simply stating SC forums are a direct reflection of society in general, and Wes must try his best to stay open-minded; however, if trying to please everyone, you will end up pleasing no one. I don’t know how he does it! Keep it up Wes, most of us are here to support you, despite all the drama!
The forums are just as entertaining as the podcasts…lol!
I think we should rename the site…”Sasquatch Soap Drama” or “The Adventures of Peanut”!!!
Indignico
Brave little Peanut! Long live Peanut!!
Nick V
Coyotes absolutely roam and sometimes live solo.
Adam K
I’d agree with you if I hadn’t heard coyote make those Klamath sounds, and bobcat make those “woman murdered” sounds. That dude at the end is actually level headed. Wes is an interviewer, he asks questions, and doesn’t argue with people even if he disagrees. So basically I disagree with the entire wall of text you wrote hehe.
Nerida H
Last guy knows nothing, thinks NO ONE goes missing, that Squatch dont kill people, that Govt dont cover them up, THATS when I decided he was a govt undercover, out to squash stories about them.

Awesome Wes, thanks.

This one will be great!

Great one today! Really enjoyed hearing about their experiences and that wonderful sounding area. Sounds like a great time was had by all – thank you for taking the time to tape these discussions while you were enjoying your trip!

Thanks Wes….about to have a listen.

Your dedication to excellence is what makes you the best show there is. We all appreciate you and your hard work more than you know. Thank you Wes.

Thanks Wes for all the great material you present each podcast. Its what I look forward to before I sleep and it gets me through the day in between my sales calls!

Good interviews, nice production.
The mobile studio is AS GOOD as the indoor studio. That doesn’t mean it sounds the same – but audio quality did not suffer in the least. On location reportage works just fine, and might be more fun for you, too.
GEOFF W
Great show. I do think however people are getting too carried away with DNA. Did you know for example DOGS have 65pc DNA and MICE 90pc???? As for the chimpanzee argument, would you like to live in trees and eat ants and birds eggs. We’re not even closely related.
Nerida H
Only 95-% related to chimps.
Chris T
Great show Wes!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Great compilation of individuals on that team. Can’t wait for the next webisode!!

Gee weds a statement and it gets taken off what’s up with that all they said was it is a little dry and it’s been a long time since you had any really scary stories and the fact that a lot of people on your site to be very immature and are very cliquish I was the third person that wrote a comment and now my comment is disappeared I also wrote that I like Bigfoot Outlaw radio I heard that you were friends with the fellas he wants made a comment about laughing about a woman that complained about horses being raped buy Bigfoot but it turned out that you were wrong it does happen a lot apparently the largest mouth Sasquatch is the only one usually allowed to make so the other males aroused to put it mildly all I know is that I think it’s a cheap shot to take my statements off of here also I said that I’m getting sick of being billed twice a month by Sasquatch Chronicles that’s just it that you need to look into it you’re feeling you run this company
lee d
please forgive my statement above my hand is broken and I I’m using text-to-talk well it has a mind of its own and types out stuff I haven’t even said if you own it one comment I did made it said it’s been a long time since we had a really scary story and that I was upset that my statement from earlier today I was the third person were taken down just rude and immature
Wes
Lee I emailed you to resolve the matter.

Hi there Bigfooter. If you listen to every episodes.. Maybe you should do the yearly membership!? It’s cheaper isn’t it? But that’s up to you. I love the outlaws too. Bear does have the gift for the gab. Unfortunately they don’t do shows as often as Wes does.So I stumbled on another Bigfoot show called “Bigfoot tonight show” it goes back about five years if you haven’t listened to it. You might like .
mk t
Wes, you have developed some great interviewing skills. Absolutely enjoyed every second of this show. Thanks!
Jack33
That last fella is wrong about the government not caring.
The intelligence agencies(the Gov) is in full control of all the information we(the public) receive, ie. tv programs and news broadcasts, print media and movies.
Therefore, the Government can’t be influenced by the content of a news report or tv program they themselves are responsible for creating.
The stigma and ridicule that goes along with saying you’ve seen or believe in Bigfoot is by design, done so to discourage anyone from coming forward. News reports and tv shows which make the subject appear rediculous are done so purposely -by our Government.
stephen P
Another interesting and fascinating show. The last interviewee seemed very much a ‘product of his time’ I thought. You know, ‘I’ve been doing this for 37 years’ sort of thing. The people he has known and their egos and their opinion is fact. You could detect his ‘ego’ gently bubbling beneath the surface as he spoke.
I’m from Britain and am finding this whole subject absolutely fascinating. One question just raises another. I do think though from what I’m hearing that the American government does in fact know a lot more about the existence of these creatures. Mr. Steinberg to me is of that generation that would not dream of questioning the motives of certain departments. I’m not saying the presidents even get to know. Could you imagine being the person who had to sit George ‘Dubbya’ down and tell him Sasquatch is real?!. Imagine that.
The last interview to me seemed like the view of self satisfied white anglo saxon America from the time of Eisenhower. I prefer the views of the native Americans and that these creatures are maybe, just maybe a bit more than overgrown monkey?. But what do they know having been there for a bit longer than a few hundred years!!.
It’s all opinion though, even from the self proclaimed ‘experts’ in the end.
Wes, you are officially my favourite American atm….well apart from President Obama and Michelle. Can’t you keep him as President?. I think we over here would feel a lot safer with President Obama in charge….lol…
I noticed the computer says I’m spelling ‘favourite’ wrongly. There is a ‘u’ in favourite. It is ENGLISH after all….
SantiamLady
Wow! ??? No worries about the sound quality, Wes! ??????????? I LOVED it!!!! Listening to those gorgeous forest sounds? ????⛺️while you Interview Guests that you are face to face with……just awesome! ????????? I felt like I was there!
Say…..are the roads back into this Olympic Project site accessible for a 4-wheel drive Camper? ? We’re taking it down to the Big Thicket in Texas in October (with Bob & Mo & the guys). I wouldn’t mind booking a trip with Shane, Gunner, and Larry to the Olympic stomping grounds too! What are the rates, and Camper friendly? ?
Thanks!???
Jay h
Pretty cool stuff.. Thanks Wes for your persistence and dedication and determination even in your time off.. I definitely acknowledge and recognize your hard work brother..
Pat T
Wes, great job with all the interviews! It’s nice to hear the passion all these people have on the subject. Your effort is appreciated. Keep it up.
Jay h
The last guy you interviewed is very suspicious…you mean to tell me, after damn near 40 years of research and writing 5 books on the subject that there’s still the possibility of him actually thinking he might be still chasing a myth and legend!!!! Wow and his response on the government not covering it up..this guy must be getting paid for those by the book answers…
James W
1:20 mins in… loving it.
pam
Thanks for taking time out of your experience to include us , good interviews and sound quality was awesome!
Carol Germer
Thanks everybody
matthew D
Just my thoughts here. I love the access the OP gave Wes. Thanks for that. It does seem the interviewees have a collective view that sasquatch are not agressive, and they get defensive when Wes asks about that. Makes me think that might bias the interviewees when they document or investigate sasquatch reports. Yes, there were a few comments about missing people and sasquatch connection. I heard that, but most felt squatches are not dangerous, which came across as strange to me, when as soon as something happened at night, somw were freaking out. I mean, either the squatches are dangerous killers, remember rocks can kill people too, or not. Aside from that twisted logic, I enjoyed the commentary. Thanks.
m99
So Wes, You remind us you aren’t “an expert”. But I’ve gotta say you’re one of the best interviewers in the field of Bigfoot, in my humble opinion. Perhaps “analyst” would be the best description of the type of researcher you’ve become. Sometimes I can’t imagine the patience you exhibit toward some of the guests on your show. This show was superb. I’m learning a lot from you all. Thanks!
Leah G
How can a serious researcher, when asked about government knowledge of Sasquatch, not reference the 1975 Environmental Atlas for Washington, published by the US Army Corps of Engineers: http://www.thecryptocrew.com/2011/10/bigfoot-confirmed-by-government.html ??
Lisa S
Thumbs up to your question Leah….indeed, how could it not be acknowledged by a serious researcher?!
LoraLee A
Wes in the woods! The in person in forest audio was fantastic! Great interviews dude! We so appreciate !
LoraLee A
I wonder what everyone will do when Bigfoot is scientifically acknowledged. It seems the search is as addictive as fishing. Will it be a huge let down when the mystery is solved? I mean what will everyone do with their time?
Jack33
When that happens I imagine things will shift towards finding out what the Government knew and for how long. The Government is going to have a huge liability problem on its hands if and when this creature is officially acknowledged.
Dana L
What a great show!
David R
You should of had Dereck on to talk more about the nests they found!
Ray R
Great show Wes, Thank you
Wade T
Excellent show, I know not a scary encounter that everyone loves but I put this episode in my top 5 favorites. I love learning as much as I can before I get the nerve to go out and begin my own search. THANK YOU is not enough but Wes you do an amazing job please don’t ever stop.
Craig M
I’ll be “that guy” and say that the crickets were too much for me so I quit at 14 minutes. Ambiance is one thing but it sounds like the background noise is being embellished.
Alan H
You’re really getting the interview process down. Great show. More with that last guy please.
Andrew O
That was a brilliant episode, but then again, they all are!
I just loved the ambiance of the area Was was situated in. Maybe you should have crickets and natural sounds playing quietly behind you in all the shows.
I’m just glad I wasn’t listening to this last thing at night, as I would’ve relaxed too much and fallen asleep!
Jeff M
Once again we have environmentalists with pious attitudes, while mentally cornering themselves into godless result as to what sasquatch is. Listening to these people so “matter as fact” think they know it all is bull@#$! Wes, your experience and the stories told by the callers tell exactly what these things are. These so called scientists make me sick to hear the certainty in their voice of how right they are, when they have no idea. Derek Randall knows, he has had a Wes Germer experience. Listening to these other people turns me off. Stick to the callers that have had the real life experiences and know!
Christopher c
Jeff I agree 110% these know it all’s got to go- bottom line is coyotes sound like little b@#$! compared to Klamath ,Snohomish,Puyallup ,screams!
Jeff M
Thank you Christopher, I agree totally with you as well. It is a complicated animal/being but it’s a simple subject to debate and research. These fools make the waters murky.
Ben T
Wes one of your best shows yet, I live in Chilliwack and jet boat the Harrison and Fraser rivers everyday as a full time fishing guide ,come on up and get out on the boats and check out the areas we have up here in BC any time, I emailed you about a sturgeon fishing trip thx for getting back to me lets pick a date and I’ll make it happen cheers wannastepoutside@hotmail.com

Im going to be honest and say that I’m really disappointed with the content of this episode, once again:(
In the last 2 weeks or so it’s just all experts, book authors and in-the-field stuff. Will we get back to the usual content of the show, ie. encounter stories??? The usual format is what this show has been known for and what set it apart from others, especially the quality of the encounters and your interview technique. I really thought this was a show where people share their encounters so am a bit confused where this show is now headed. Are we going in a different direction for the show?
Thank you

Well this is interesting reading through the posts on here after the show. Some favorable comments and some not so favorable. I like that realness about the show and that we can speak our minds. If I were the host of the show I would want honest feedback as long as people are not making attacks. I was not too keen on that last guest who kept puntuating his sentences at the end with a “yes” that was a bit annoying. I do have to agree with Jay H that it would be nothing short of extraordinary to have spent decades researching the subject and writing so many books and still be unsure as to whether this is just a fairy tale to speak of! Here I am, never seen one nor imagined they exist in my entire life. Then I began listening to this show and so many witnesses with raw emotional encounters have convinced me. It becomes quite apparent when someone is making things up and I think most of us could spot a fake encounter pretty quick by now. All in all, I agree with Amanda B – I come here for the encounter stories. The web is laden full of so called experts theorizing about these creatures and it is nothing short of obnoxious to listen to individuals who try to transfer human emotions to explain animal behavior. Nice having a show recorded in nature. Very relaxing hearing the sounds of the crickets. Wes you are always a good interviewer and make things interesting no matter what individuals you are interviewing in my opinion. Thanks for the show! I can only imagine the time work and effort that go into them. ?
Jeff M
Amanda you are dead on! I think Wes is awesome but this type of show is a huge turn off. These very people he interviewed are the ones making this subject a messy joke. This paid member too is unhappy.
Doreen Dee S
Thank you Wes, for another great show. I enjoy each and every one! I am learning what to do and what not to do whilst out there.
Jonathan B
Love the crickets
Debbie C
I love the sounds of nature! Great show:)
Lise B
Fun show Wes. Listening with ear buds made me stop and look around with the back ground scurrying critters in the woods a few times lol! Thanks
gary b
Great job wes! And people, it’s about content, you shouldn’t agree with everyone everyone anyways! I don’t always agree with a statement, but the one guys character is awesome, so he’s not PC, it’s who he is, he had some good info, the diversity of people and their personalities are what makes the show. Again, great job wes!
stephen P
Sometimes you have to listen to people who you know are full of it. Full of themselves and their opinions are right. Wes is being objective and broadminded. People who are condescending, patronising and dismissive of other people, especially so called scientists, who are likely to be conceited and self satisfied regardless.
We have to hear stuff from a broad section. It can’t all be about the ‘real’ experiences unfortunately, even though these people probably have more expertise than the self proclaimed ‘experts’. But it’s good that Wes lets us hear from these people as well because we need to know that these kind of people are out there dismissing what ‘real’ Americans have or are experiencing and dismissing them because they might not have been to some fancy university.
I mean in the early days here there was a similar smug and self satisfied person co presenting !!….
We have to be prepared to listen to views from a broad spectrum, even though we know they are likely B.S, compared to real, ordinary Americans, who have had terror brought into their lives by some of these creatures and where and who can they turn to?. But that’s another issue.
I read the comment earlier from Jacqueline O. I don’t think members here are ‘mindless’ followers of Wes. When I joined, I listened to this show from ‘new to old’. Mr. Jevning, when I began listening to him, unfortunately had many of the traits listed above. You know, he is right and everybody else is wrong because he’s been doing it for 30 odd years. I think you can judge character by listening to people to a degree and I was shocked and disgusted by the way Wes was treated at a certain period of time. His grandads death and all that and people demanding to see a death certificate. I could’nt believe what I was hearing. So it might be understandable that most people here may be ‘protective’ of Wes, because it’s hard to believe he went on from that and now provides what in my opinion, is by far the best listening, informative and educational show around and the presenter lacks ego and actually listens to a wide range of viewpoints and respects everyone.
stephen P
Just one more thing while I’m ‘on me orange box’, when some people add ‘paid member’ to their comments because they have not liked a particular show. I don’t want a producer and presenter who has to work down a mine or whatever for 40 odd hours a week and then have to think about doing a show like this. This is a polished, professional production that requires research and a lot of hard work.
Now, he ain’t going to get a government grant to produce this is he for gods sake!. Surely we want him to earn a reasonable living, so he has the time and energy to provide the excellence he does.
Doug K
Another awesome episode!!! Thank you Wes!!!
L S
You ask some excellent questions, Wes. My ears perked up when Steenburg said that in the “olden days” he had gotten reports of the woo type stuff. That Surprised me. There has to be a reason people are saying such things. ” Everybody’s Crazy” just isn’t a satisfactory answer. Very interesting.
craig d
Glad to see LS has opened his/her mind up to possibilities.
Out of all the BF enthusiasts out there in the woods trying to ‘study’ these beings how many have been injured or hurt by the Sasquatch?
Answer.. none, zilch, nada, nill, nane, zero!
It’s not the Sasquatch taking the missing, it’s something else….
craig d
After all the evidence still people insist these elusive entities are apes!
I need to stop letting it get to me but these people seem to be intelligent yet they ignore what’s staring them in the face. Okay ape, hmmm next…..
Nick S
Lol absolutely no way the government doesn’t know or doesn’t care, thats an incredibly ignorant comment to make. In my mind the ONLY way sasquatch exists in the Americas is IF its a government cover up. Otherwise we would have a body by now
