SC EP:204 That is NOT a bear!

I will be welcoming two guests to the show. My first guest came face to face with the creature. It was a hot night and in order to cool the house down she was going to open her back door.

As she pulled the curtains back to open the sliding glass door she was face to face with a Sasquatch. The witness describes the creature as very tall and bending down with its arm reaching out like it was trying to open the door. She said the Sasquatch was white and looked very old, as she pulled the curtains back it had a look of shock on its face and she screamed and the creature screamed and ran off.

My second guests was camping in Arizona and as the family turned the corner he saw a Sasquatch on all fours drinking out of a small river. The witness describes the creature looking very odd. The witnesses father jumped out of the truck and started shooting his .357 at it. The creature stood up like a man and started running on two legs. The witnesses father told him at the time it was a crippled bear. He said that he has never seen his father so terrified and it was not a bear!

Another good Sun. evening by the fire; listening to folks . Almost like being camping!
Yay! The Big Thicket is back- great to hear the expeditioners’ encounters! Thanks Wes and Big Thicket Bros.

  2. Robert V

    Hello,

I appreciate the encounter from Wisconsin. Cedarberg was only a half hour to an hour from my grandmothers house. Want to mention this is only one country north from Milwaukee County.

    This encounter is believeable.

    Bob

  3. Tedd

Happy Easter Sunday to all! Thanks Wes and I hope the new site or whatever works well & most important, makes production/work easier for you! Your doing great!

  4. Frankie P

The two encounters were really, really great. I enjoyed those immensely! Wes, glad you are feeling good again. I’m going to think twice about opening doors at night… for sure!

Mo and Bob – just wow. We are so glad to have you here! Learn something every time I hear you guys, and I’ve missed your podcasts. Thank you for joining us.

  5. Jane M

Best part of the week…..Fri and Sunday nights listening to Wes let us listen with him about Sasquatch. Just love Wes’ voice and personality shine on w positivity and honesty about Sasquatch. Thanks!

  6. Janetta V

Great show from the three guests in the first half, and very interesting discussions from the Big Thicket Watch, in the second half and so glad there back. Thanks Wes for introducing them on you show.

I also love these guys. Patrick, would you be interested in going on a Big Thicket Tour with me? I think I have that bladder control problem corrected….

        • PATRICK

Would love to Dr. I unfortunately lose half my paychecks to permanent alimony. Scraping along. If my ex was in Tex she would be one of those nasty boogers.

        • Jacqueline O

You certainly have a great sense of humor! Like you, I am very tempted to go on The Big Thicket Tour, but I would rather wish to visit vicariously . . . it seems much safer that way! Most people are not aware of my interest in Sasquatch, only a few close family members who do not take the subject seriously. Needless to say, I feel it is more comforting to observe these nasty Texas Boogers with some familiar acquaintances . . . happy, smiley emoticon inserted here.

          • DrAaron

I can completely relate. I originally started listening to SasChron after a patient in town told me of a very real story from the early 80s (hence my dumb screen name that I should probably change). He passed away and now I don’t have anyone to talk to anymore regarding the subject. It’s kinda hard to bring up in casual conversation…
Patrick, I am sorry to hear that. You are better off without the old squatch. Keep yer stick on the ice!

          • PATRICK

Thanks Doc. Stick on the ice. I’m central Florida and without googln with translate such to .nose to the grindstone. I do. Gotta have good work ethic and moral compass that points north.
J.O. if you don’t mind the shortening. This is a safe place where many don’t go and could be kept as such imo.
Dr. After your profile pic switch fiasco when I contacted you some time ago.let’s not change a thing. Thx. Respectfully submitted.

          • Jacqueline O

Patrick, I appreciate the advice, but I’m not quite sure I understand . . .are you worried that haters will infiltrate the site and discover our interest in sasquatch as a result of my comments? Seriously, I’m not being disrespectful.

          • PATRICK

            Nothing that sinister J.O. Ma’am.
Your reply to my mind gives me happiness aka makes me smile joyfully. Thx. Smiley Face accomplished.

          • Jacqueline O

I’m glad I could put a smile on your face! I lived in central Florida for years. I still miss it . . .no matter where you live, you’re only an hour away from the ocean.

            BTW, I am Miss J.O. . .smile

    • Tim S

Herman. We are just getting back into the podcasts. Sorry to disappoint. Bare with us while we work out or process. Wes has been gracious enough to produce it for us. Thanks

  7. Christine J S

Excellent show Wes…LOVE the Big Thicket Watch…I’m thrilled Mo that you and Mr Bob are BACK and sharing all your activities with us. Thanks for all you do and are planning to do. Happy Easter

  8. Amy D

Wes….what a treat having Bob & his team on S.C….. !!!! Just when I thought this show was perfect you go and do this for us!!! THANK YOU!!!!! ???

  9. travis h

I love this website and podcasts. I joined up and look forward to many more great encounters. The Miller document was amazing. Keep it going Wes, my bald brother haha

  10. Teresa V

Great episode Wes! I throughly enjoyed hearing from the Texas boys! I really, really want to go down to Texas and attend one of the expeditions. I’m going to start putting some out some feelers and try to convince one of my friends or one of my sons to make a commitment and go down with me.

  11. Tim S

Hey Matt, we ate just getting back into the podcasts. It will be more like the old podcast we just needed to get our feet wet. Thanks for listening.
    Tim

    • Matt P

My apologies Tim, I have no issue at all with your podcast if it came across that way, just with verbose people. I’m an original listener and I’ll be listening in again. You’re all class acts and I expect more of the same this next time around.

  12. Letty

Great Job Mo! You Definitely HAVE The Voice FOR Radio! Interviews flowed well with your good line of questioning. Can’t wait for Big Thicket Radio!

  13. Lise B

What the heck is this guy Matt P. Talking about anyway? Let’s not insult the guests now!
I like how Tim responded. Very classy. Enjoyed the show and as always looking forward to these SQUATCH pros. Lol

  14. Martin Z

Wes if you ever read this which I know you wont, I don’t appreciate being on a pay podcast and having to listen to something else other than what I paid for. Your podcast is top notch and that’s why I pay to hear the members content. The Big Thicket podcast is no different than all the others, just talking about whatever comes to mind, like listening to two guys talking on the phone. I don’t care to listen to people talk about things they can’t back up
(or won’t) due to so called infringement excuses. This is only my opinion and I thought I should voice it, for what it’s worth.
    won’t)

      • Martin Z

Thank you Wes for reading my comment. I don’t mean any disrespect towards you or your podcast. I am a truck driver and have been listening to SC for about 1.5 years and makes my drive across the lonley desert bearable. I have listened to many other podcasts regarding sasquatch and they’re all talk about what they’ve seen and encountered but have nothing to back it up.
Your podcast is much different, from the way you interview without interruptions to the validity of the encounter. If you believe it then I believe it. You can’t always have only good comments, it’s better than not having any comments at all lol. The good and the bad is what helps you see what the people like or dislike. I won’t apologize for not liking Big Thicket but will apologize if I disrespected you in any way.
Wes I love your show and will continue to listen no matter what. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    • Tim S

Martin. Wes is gracious enough to produce our show. If you don’t want to listen to us then by all means dont. Like I said earlier we are just getting our feet wet again. As far as sharing what we get. Well let’s just say we do. But just because you think you are entitled to our blood sweat and tears on our research doesn’t mean anything to me. We will release things when they are deemed ready for release. Thanks.

      • Martin Z

Well,if it were any of your business, no one makes me listen to SC. Now let me ask you, where did I say that anyone is making me listen? I have never paid for podcast content except for SC. I love the way Wes does his interviews and love listening to the witnesses encounters. Because I am a paying customer, I have the right to voice ANY complaints I may have.

  15. Tam C

This sounds like a fun filled experience to have, when tracking squatch. Its the only way I would want to do this, sharing with a number of people who are like minded. Good times! Thanks for sharing all the experiences, and all your efforts.

wes i am not interested in bob garrets money making advertisements. i have listened to your show since day one and the reason i listen is because of the normal everyday people who share their stories. I Believe if east texas is so populated that a man so interested and involved in bigfoot has not went back since his first trip is hard to believe. Tim S you can sure take praise from all these ass kissers on this site, but you cant take a few words from someone who really likes your show. it sounds like you are more interested in making money for you and bob garret. wes this is exactly what you claimed you would never do, you said you did not start this pay site to make profit but your man tim attacks a fan because he speaks his mind and tells you how he feels, it sounds like you guys are getting a little rockstar syndrome. i know you always want to improve your shows but what you were doing from the start was great. i still listen to your shows and i always will but be a little more real it will help your reputation in the long run. i would love to hear a reply from you both please??

    • Wes

No “rockstar syndrome” here at all. I just want to add as much quality content as possible to the site and try to educate people on the subject. I am happy to help my friends try to produce a quality show. People forget I was down with these guys for a week and saw and heard things I was not expecting.

I have recently uploaded their show as extra content, it is open to everyone and if people like it…great..if they do not, then do not listen to it. No more no less. I appreciate feedback both negative and positive as long as it is respectful. Thanks for your feedback Jacqueline I will take it into consideration. People think I do not read the comments but I really do and I try my best to present the information in the best way possible.

Matt P, you did not have to bring insults into this, calling Chad a Don Knotts Impersonator was not very nice and it sounds like you just needed to insult him to make yourself seem cool and funny, I did not find it funny at all because Chad is a very down to earth guy, if you wish to insult someone, feel free to insult me..

People that come down for the expeditions and then speak of them on TBTW are the same real people having real encounters and sharing them in a safe environment it is the heart of everything Wes does Martin. They are also your fellow subscribers. Once again here you are calling all of us liars collectively including them. You are questioning the integrity of people you don’t even know who are everyday folks like you and I. You really know how to make friends it seems. How many times have I personally extended an invitation to you? Yet I have yet to see you down here and I doubt that I ever will. It is very easy to demand proof and criticize others from the cab of your truck, but it is far more difficult to do it standing in the woods in pitch black with ungodly noises going off all around you. No evidence, via media or empirical will ever supercede that experience and pales in comparison to primal fear, period. Anything we release is going to be vetted properly by fellow researchers and undergo an extended comment period. That is due diligence. There are no shortcuts that will be taken and Bob Garrett will have the final say and it will be at Wes’s discretion. Period. In the interim if you require immediate gratification regarding evidence please go out and get your own. I promise I will look at it with an open mind and without bias.
    Respectfully

    • Martin Z

I am sorry I wasn’t clear enough in my comment. I was referring to The Big Thicket podcast hosts, not the people speaking about their experiences on the expedition, Wes, or the listeners. The Big Thicket keeps talking about the awesome video they have but will not release any proof until they’re (so called) ready. That’s fine and I respect that but don’t keep talking about this video if you’re not planning a date to release it. The Big Thicket should be thankful for the Sasquatch Chronicles listeners because without us The Big Thicket would have very few listeners (if any) if they would’ve started from the bottom like Wes. So please keep your Big Thicket invitations for someone interested in you club. I’m here to listen to Sasquatch Chronicles ONLY..

I’ve never nor likely will, ever see a Sasquatch. Don’t know if that’s a bad or good thing lol! Anyway, I’m wondering if what is being described strange about Sasquatch running is a lack of rise and fall. Most people living in what most would consider 1st world countries heal strike when walking. This is a forced change caused from wearing shoes/trainers etc most of the time, most of our life’s. This is not the natural way to walk and causes a rise and fall in our heads and shoulders. Watch folks like African tribesman etc who run bare foot and you will see this rise and fall isn’t present, they appear to glide. This is due to a natural running gait, which is either a flat footed strike or a forefoot strike when running, which uses different forms of leg dynamics. The closest you can look at immediately is folks ( myself included ) who practice’barefoot running’, unshod or in Vibram 5fingers and similar on YouTube.

P.s. when I say interested, I don’t mean I want to preach etc about barefoot running, but rather why I feel this is how Sasquatch walk and run. It’s VERY clear in the Patty footage that she is walking with a mid foot strike. It would explain a lot about the way their legs are built etc too. They use their Achilles heal how it’s intended, as a spring to move more efficiently absorbing and returning energy. A heal strike does away with that as your essentially coming to a halt, and momentum is forcing the body forward. Hence sooo many foot and leg injuries these days and huge levels of support and cushioning needed in trainers as the strength and conditioning in the feet, legs, muscles, tendons, ligaments etc needed to walk and run has not been built up going through childhood etc
